We've passed the halfway mark for 2026, so we had to start this episode with a discussion on the year in metal so far. We give our overall thoughts on heavy music at the midpoint, then share a few albums that have moved us, surprised us or staked a claim on our lists. A new era of the Metalheads Podcast begins! We introduce an exciting structure for the show that includes streamlined discussions of New Releases, What We’re Listening To and Pick From the Crypt. After tackling those familiar segments we unveil THE WHEEL OF PAIN! At the end of each show we’ll take turns spinning a virtual wheel with 30 unique discussion topics.
