In Spring 2026, we learned the exciting news that the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) would be gaining 4 new teams for the upcoming 2026-27 season. We look back on the PWHL Takeover Tour, the 2026 expansion process, and wonder if any expansion process is ever smooth sailing. Oh, and Mathy is ready to commit to flying the flag for 1/3 of the whole league. Seriously. P.S. Walter’s status correct at time of recording - she has, thankfully, since surfaced.
