We finally had a little money, a little stability and a plan to get ourselves out. In Episode 6, we start turning our skills, connections and sheer audacity into actual opportunities. My mom chases a major art gig while I attempt to pitch myself into a job that doesn’t even exist yet. For the first time, it feels like we’re building our way out. We were convinced we’d cracked the code to living in our car. Then someone started banging on the window. Add in tactical toilet paper theft, body parts staging a protest, and one spectacular midnight disaster, and you’ve got Episode 3.

You can survive almost anything if you have a plan. The problem is…we didn’t. In Episode 2, we trade food for a storage unit, become accidental experts at blending in, budget like hedge fund managers on a broke bitch budget, and discover that rock bottom somehow still has side quests. By the end, one question is louder than ever: what the hell now?

You don’t become homeless all at once. It happens one tricky decision, one impossible conversation, and one “temporary” plan at a time. In Episode 1, we lose our home, move into a car, get robbed by a baboon (yes, really), and somehow still manage to laugh. Welcome to the beginning of the disaster.
