Welcome to In the Lions Den, a new podcast from the Rugby League Lions Association.In this edition, Lions chairman Brian Noble MBE chats to fellow RL Lions Association committee members Joe Lydon, Adrian Morley and David Lyon about the importance of naming the national team Great Britain. The Association is calling on the Rugby Football League to restore Great Britain to its rightful place as the name of the national team. The Lions are also asking people across the world to show their support for this important campaign by signing our petition, which will be presented to the RFL later this year. Rugby League Lions Podcast. Ellis Rugby Founder Kevin Ellis interviews the legendary ‘Big Jim’ Mills. He played 23 times for GB and 21 times for Wales. At club level he started at Halifax, Salford, Bradford Northern, Widnes (two spells) (with whom he won two Challenge Cups) and Workington Town, and also in Australia for North Sydney.

One of the finest ever England Scrum Half’s, five times Challenge Cup winner, including two Man of the Match Awards, gained 26 Caps for Great Britain and played in six Ashes Series. He was inducted in to the Rugby League Hall of Fame in 2019.

He became the first player to win the Man of Steel, Harry Sunderland Trophy and Lance Todd Trophy for his Club. He won 29 caps for Great Britain and a further 11 for England. In 1972 representing GB, he won the Rugby League World Cup.

He signed for Leeds and won the Rhinos the Challenge Cup in 1999. He then joined Eastern Suburbs Roosters in the NRL and won the Grand Final in 2002. He returned to England and won three Challenge Cups with Warrington Wolves.
