In the second episode of Wiz Ball Spaces "Road to the Offseason" we are predicting the net ratings for the Wizards in this coming season, the offensive net, defensive net and the general net rating combing the two in what I believe is a far more nuanced discussion the more common wins vs losses. We discussed a wide variety of topics regarding the predictions and went in depth to land on our final numbers.

The Wizards beat the Utah Jazz in a triumphant Summer League victory that saw 1st overall pick AJ Dybantsa make his Wizards debut coupled with strong performances from Tre Johnson & Jamir Watkins. The Wiz Ball Spaces community discussed the game and much much more in this exciting game.

Khris Middleton resigned with the Washington Wizards for 3 years and 17.6 million dollars on a deal that sees Y2 partially guaranteed and Y3 non-guaranteed. Middleton spent the beginning of the 2025-26' season with the Wizards before being traded to the Mavericks in the Anthony Davis deal and now resigns with the Wizards. On the day before the 2026 NBA Draft the Washington Wizards had a bombshell resigning, inking Trae Young to a 4-year, 212 million dollar extension. Many a thoughts were had on the extension on the internet and the Wiz Ball Spaces Community brought on many voices with variety of opinions to discuss the extension in full to understand the length and dollar amount. As well as that on the night before the draft we discussed the draft as it relates to the Wizards.

With two days until the 2026 NBA Draft the news cycle has begun to slow down in what seems to be the calm before the storm. The Wiz Ball Spaces community discussed this lack of news and what it may mean for the Washington Wizards and the upcoming NBA Draft.

A recent reporter by freelance reporter Marc Stein highlighted "increased interest" by the Wizards that they may select Darryn Peterson over the consensus favorite AJ Dybantsa.
