Austin Woodrum is a well known name around the Indiana racing scene. He was a sales rep for Western Power Sports and Fly Racing for 13 years, but these days he works in sales at Palmer Trucks selling Kenworths. But on any given weekend you'll find him and his family at an IXCR, GNCC, or one of a handful of local xc race series pitting for his son, filming for his vlog Woodrum Racing, or numbering race jerseys.
Brandon Whiteley and Matt Carlisle join me in studio for this episode. We discuss the supercross season, do some bench racing about the upcoming motocross season, and talk about Matt and I doing the Renfro Valley dual sport on the T7's.
A couple buddies of mine, Matt Carlisle and Josh Stone both recently got Tenere 700's and outfitted them for heavy off road riding. Finally got them out on a good dual sport ride in Beattyville Kentucky, so I wanted to get them on to discuss their perspective. While we were at it, we did some bench racing and discussed the current events in the AMA Supermotocross season which is always fun.
Hudson is locally known off road racer originally from Oklahoma, who recently moved back there with his wife Taylor and started the Great Plains Cross Country racing series. We talk about his early racing career, FCA offroad camps, starting a race series and what all goes into that, and more.
Rodney Carrier is a long time motocross and offroad racer from Lebanon Junction Ky. He has done it all over the years from racing a pro national, many trips to Loretta Lynns, drag racing, and some epic bike builds. Most recently he gained national attention showing up to Lorettas with his vw bug and 1981 Maico 490, getting him a featured article in Racer X.
Adam Hollenkamp is an off road racer from Versailles Ky. His family started the KORHS series in kentucky in the mid 2000's. He recaps the highs and lows of his racing career, what it was like training at Kailub Russell's training facility, injuries and more.
Nathan Thornhill is an off road racer from West Virginia. He's raced a little bit of everything from GNCC's, National Hare Scrambles, and Full Gas Sprint Enduro's to VXCS and KXCR. We talk about his racing career over the years, running marathons, and even some dual sport riding out west.
Dalton Riddle is a AA woods racer from Tennessee and a fairly household name for those in the MSXC and WORN racing circles. You also may have seen him if you've watched any of the Highsided Films content on youtube over the years.
Marty Michels is a well respected offroad racer from Petersburg Kentucky. He's been racing dirt bikes since the 90's and has been thru it all, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. This is a long one so buckle up, but its worth the ride!
