OMG, I’m actually back fr now in shaa Allah 😭💕, no more disappearing for months. Welcome back to Becoming Amal. 🥹 Sometimes the hardest battle is the one within ourselves. In this episode, we talk about fighting our nafs, the choices we make when nobody is watching, the people we surround ourselves with, and learning to keep returning to Allah whenever we fall. Who are you when nobody is watching? 🤍

Sometimes we repeat Surah Al-Fatiha so often that we forget to pause and truly understand it. In this episode, I reflect on Surah Al-Fatiha through Qur’an journaling and what it means to realize that salah is not just recitation, but a conversation between the servant and Allah. Every ayah carries a response… but are we truly present to hear it?

The life of Asma bint Abi Bakr is a story of courage, intelligence, and unwavering devotion. In the dangerous days of the Hijrah, she secretly carried provisions and messages to support the Prophet ﷺ and her father, Abu Bakr, as they hid in the cave of Thawr. Her bravery behind the scenes helped protect the mission of Islam at a moment when every step carried risk. May Allah grant us courage in our faith, sincerity in our service, and hearts that trust His plan even in moments of fear and uncertainty. Ameeen ya Rabbi 🤲🏻.

Nusaybah bint Kaʿb, known as Umm ʿAmmārah, was one of the most courageous women in early Islam. On the day of Uḥud, she stood on the battlefield defending the Prophet ﷺ, enduring multiple wounds while protecting the Messenger of Allah. Her story is a powerful reminder that faith is not only patience in hardship, but also courage in moments when truth must be defended. I feel like doing a long episode about her, she is just soooo maa shaa Allah 🥹🌸💞

Sumayyah bint Khayyāṭ was among the earliest believers in Islam, embracing faith in the difficult early days in Makkah alongside her husband, Yāsir, and her son, ʿAmmār. Though she held little status in society, her faith was unshakable. When persecution came, she refused to renounce Islam, enduring immense hardship with courage and dignity until she became the first martyr of Islam. May Allah grant us hearts that remain firm in faith, courage in the face of trials, and the strength to stand for truth no matter the cost. Ameen Ameen ya hayyu ya qayyum 🤲🏻🌸💗

The life of Maymūnah bint al-Ḥārith was shaped by patience, devotion, and deep family ties. After experiencing loss and widowhood, she remained steadfast in faith and was later honored as one of the Mothers of the Believers. Her life reflected quiet worship, sincerity, and a heart anchored in Allah through every stage of life. I know it’s been quiet here for a while. I had a few episodes drafted and ready… and somehow they disappeared 😭😭. At the same time, I was in the middle of exams, so I didn’t even realize until much later. But Alhamdulillah, we’re back. Still learning. Still striving. Still trusting Allah’s timing in everything. Daughter of the Prophet ﷺ, she faced rejection, divorce, migration, the loss of a child, and illness, yet her faith never wavered. From the hardship of Makkah to the migration to Abyssinia alongside Uthman ibn Affan, her life was marked by patience carried with dignity. A reflection on sabr in private trials, trusting Allah through loss, and honoring the believers whose sacrifices are known fully only to Him.✨

Daughter of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb and one of the Mothers of the Believers, she lived a life marked by fasting, prayer, and discipline. After the Prophet ﷺ’s passing, the compiled manuscript of the Qur’an was entrusted to her care a responsibility that would shape the preservation of revelation for generations. Her legacy reminds us that not all impact is loud; some of the greatest contributions are made through guarding what is sacred. A reflection on amānah, devotion, and faithfulness that outlives a lifetime. 🌙🤍
