Welcome to If You Film It They Will Come, the film tourism podcast. In this episode I am in conversation with Dr David Gibson, Chief Executive Officer of Dartmoor Zoo in Devon, England. The Zoo was bought by Benjamin Mee and his family in August 2006 and Benjamin wrote about his experiences in the book We Bought a Zoo, published in 2008. Benjamin’s memoir inspired the 2011 film of the same name directed by Cameron Crowe and starring Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, and a whole host of excellent ensemble characters including Thomas Hayden Church and Elle Fanning. In this episode I am in conversation with Dr Kate Scarth, Professor of Applied Communication, Leadership and Culture at the University of Prince Edward Island and Chair of L. M. Montgomery Studies with the L. M. Montgomery Institute.
