Ottima domanda! In italiano, a volte possiamo trovare casi in cui il verbo con coincide esattamente con il soggetto della frase, ma questo viene comunque accettato come corretto. Alcuni esempi sono quando i soggetti sono percepiti come un’unità semantica oppure quando uno dei membri amplia o specifica l’altro. Qi possiamo anche usare un vero al singolare (Enciclopedia dell’Italiano Treccani). Oppure in casi come: Ci sono un uomo e due donne (accordo grammaticale “scolastico” con l’insieme plurale); C’è un uomo e due donne (accordo col primo elemento e funzione presentativa). Nell’italiano contemporaneo il secondo tipo è molto diffuso, perché il parlante non sta facendo concordare il verbo con tutta la coordinazione, ma vuole più che altro introdurre una scena.
