Combine 11 seasons of “Beavis and Butt-head” with a nerdy guy with a penchant for spreadsheets, and what do you get? This week’s episode! We’re looking specifically this week at what Beavis and/or Butt-head think is “cool,” what they think “sucks,” and why their opinions matter. We look at the show’s shift to negativity, the boys’ role in defining pop culture trends, and the public’s over-simplification of a nuanced look at the world and everything in it. Stay tuned at the end of the episode for a special announcement! Beavis and Butt-head are headed to Netflix AND Paramount Plus! Well, kind of. In this episode, we break down what’s going to be on each platform – Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-head season 3 (finally) to Paramount Plus (in the United States), older episodes to Netflix – and what it all means. This mini-sode lets you know the latest on both of these developments. This episode is one of our most personal yet, as your hosts Char and Patrick try to come up with some questions that they’ve never asked each other about Beavis and Butt-head. We ask each other five questions apiece about the show that somehow, in decades together, we’ve never found the opportunity to ask. We touch on animal rights, life goals, gendering in fandoms, inspirational music, things that frustrate us about the show’s current state and, yes, why “buttmuch” and “buttknocker” are our go-to Beavis and Butt-head insults. We learned so much about each other… Misophonia information: https://www.misophoniaresearchfund.org/understanding/misophonia-basics Beavis and Butt-head insult quiz: https://www.sporcle.com/games/StupidBunny/hehehehthisquizsucksheheheh Join the conversation! In the latest reboot of Beavis and Butt-head, we’ve begun to see the duo react to YouTube videos. But our boys (and middle-aged men and smart alternate-universe versions) have barely scratched the surface of what’s available on the world’s largest video platform. So that is where we come in, with our suggestions on what YouTube videos and shorts we’d like to see them watch. The videos are funny, but we think Beavis and Butt-head’s reactions could be even funnier. Some lines from Beavis and Butt-head are classics. Some, though, haven’t stood the test of time. In this episode, we’re trying to show those lines some love by pointing out our favorite under-rated lines – the kind of lines that DON’T show up on all-time best lines lists, but they should. We’ve picked out 11 such lines for this episode, where we sort through Van Driessen’s drum circles, Beavis’ monkey-spanking metaphors and Butt-head’s work to avoid public shame. Altogether, they represent the moments we need to recall more! Join the conversation! Visit tpforyourearholes.com to contact us. Watch Beavis and Butt-head long enough and you’ll begin to see the pair of misfits acting, well, adorable. These guys deserve more praise for those times when they were just being themselves – and we’re prepared to give that to them. In this episode, we take a look at some of the duo’s cutest moments, from their most innocent to their most helpful to their most endearing. (And, hey, Beavis stans and Butt-head stans: We get it now!) Join the conversation! Visit tpforyourearholes.com to contact us. Find us on Instagram, Bluesky, YouTube and Facebook @tpforyourearholes.
If the original-run episodes of Beavis and Butt-head from the 1990s were re-made in the 2020s, would they still work? That’s the question we tackle this week! In trying to answer that question, we realized that some episodes of the original run, either culturally or technologically, have plot points that wouldn’t make sense. Certainly, everything is a product of its time; these episodes are the biggest proof of that. And we love them – sometimes BECAUSE of this, not in spite of it! Join the conversation! In our second of two consecutive “starter pack” episodes, your hosts attempt the true fool’s errand – 10 episodes from the original run to show a noob. Out of the 200-plus episodes, which ones made our cut? Which great episodes were left off the list because they make more sense after someone has seen a full season? And, of course: Which ones ended up on YOUR list? Join the conversation! Visit tpforyourearholes.com to contact us. Find us on Instagram, Bluesky, YouTube and Facebook @tpforyourearholes.
If you were to choose five episodes of the Beavis and Butt-head reboot to show to someone who’s never seen the show before, which five would be the most likely to get them hooked? That is the question we tackled in this episode. And we had to work together to come up with that list, mostly because our personal preferences varied so much with the reboot’s first three seasons. Which ones ended up on YOUR list? Join the conversation! Visit tpforyourearholes.com to contact us. Find us on Instagram, Bluesky, YouTube and Facebook @tpforyourearholes.
The TV show “Beavis and Butt-head” and the movie “Office Space,” two of Mike Judge’s most influential pieces of media from the 1990s, don’t appear to have a ton in common on the surface. Dig deeper, though, and the parallels become clear. “Beavis and Butt-head” and “Office Space” share character arcs, motivations, relatability, a way of looking at the world and its people, and, of course, a creator. This episode looks at those similarities and how they work together to help form Judge’s comedic voice, approach to storytelling and legitimacy as a creator. From blankets to keychains, from dog collars to socks, Beavis’ and Butt-head’s faces have always been on merchandise. In this episode, we explore what that means for the show and its fans. And we ask the big question: When does merchandising cross the line to make a show and its characters officially uncool – and did Beavis and Butt-head ever reach that point? Sometimes, we don’t have enough on a single topic to cover 30 minutes. So welcome to the Beavis and Butt-head lightning round: 10 topics we want to talk about but knew we weren’t getting 30 minutes out of them. It’s like 10 episodes in one! From Socko to shark-jumping to missing riffs to Gilbert Gottfried, we jam-pack this week’s TP with a little bit of everything – in bite-size pieces, just as intended. How would YOU rank the seasons of Beavis and Butt-head? Your hosts Charlynn and Patrick set off on this fool’s errand and, in the process, came to realize they don’t always see eye-to-eye about the show. We disagree on the worst season; we disagree on the best season; we disagree on, well, a whole lot more! Ultimately, we have to reason our way to defending choices – and take a stand on what we believe to be the best (and worst) seasons of the show. Did we get it right? Join the conversation! We’re back with some more of our favorite little moments – laugh-out-loud visuals and repeatable lines of dialogue that we want to make sure don’t get lost in the long history of Beavis and Butt-head. This time around, we explore the greatest sound effect in the history of television, a new way to spell Howard (Houghwoughardh), Butt-head’s greatest retort, the underrated relationship between Earl and Mr. Van Driessen, and our first experiences with overcaffeinated sodas. And, of course, we ask YOU what always sends you off the couch doubled over with laughter! Beavis and Butt-head cannot be smart on purpose. But sometimes, they stumble into genius. This week’s episode explores 10 such times when the dumbass duo were accidentally the smartest people in Highland. From saving lives (animal AND human), saving innocent men (or helping law enforcement arrest the guilty ones) and earning money in underhanded but clever ways, Beavis and Butt-head showed they, too, could occasionally find their way to brilliance – even if they never meant to do so. What’s the name of Mr. Anderson’s dog? Who voiced Stewart? What makes Beavis cry? This week, Char and Patrick came up with some Beavis and Butt-head trivia for each other – and for YOU, dear listener – to see who’s the ultimate fan of the show! Play along for 10 rounds of trivia of escalating difficulty and see how you stack up to our show hosts. (But don’t act too surprised if you beat us both!) It’s clear to us: The latest season of Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-head is a welcome addition to the pantheon of the series. In this episode, we take a deep look at the final 12 episodes of the latest season, including Beavis’ ability to make anything dirty, the reappearance of a classic series character, and an episode that might be the crown jewel of the reboot. (Hint: It involves Beavis and Butt-head in a courtroom, which is always fuel for classic chicanery.) Join the conversation! Visit tpforyourearholes.com to contact us. In looking at the first 12 episodes of Season 3 of the newest Beavis and Butt-head reboot, we explore the peaks (many) and the valleys (few), the funniest moments, the best one-liners and THE episode that might be the best one to show a fan of the show from the ’90s to get them interested in the new stuff. Oh, and we speculate on what Merriam-Webster’s 2026 “Word of the Year” should be, inspired by Beavis. Join the conversation! Visit tpforyourearholes.com to contact us. The Beavis and Butt-head multiverse came to fruition in “Beavis and Butt-head Do the Universe,” the second of the two movies featuring our favorite pair of teenage metalheads. We look back at our expectations for a movie that did not make its way to theaters. Moreover, we explore whether “Do the Universe” lived up to those expectations, qualified or not – and how long it might be before we watch this movie again. Join the conversation! Nearly 30 years after its release, we take a look back at “Beavis and Butt-head Do America,” the movie that sent our dumbass duo to the big screen. We look at what the movie meant to us when it was released in 1996, how the movie’s takeaways have changed for us over time, and why repeated watching is good for the circadian rhythms. And we talk about Meeteetse. A lot. Join the conversation! Visit tpforyourearholes.com to contact us. Find us on Instagram, Bluesky, YouTube and Facebook @tpforyourearholes.
