Through letters and photographs sent across the world, the two unknowingly document half a century of island life, migration, family, and change. Featuring artist and family descendant Sonia Holmen, this is a warm and surprising story about distance, patience, and the first photographer of Træna.

Together with local guide and archaeology enthusiast Anders Budde, we follow the layers beneath the cave floor: ancient fishhooks, forgotten graves, hidden house remains, and a medieval gold ring with a mysterious inscription.
