This week on Dave’s First Crawl , we’re covering Chapters 32, 33, and 34 of The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook , DCC Book 3 . Li Na and company provide some much needed backup as Carl rolls out a series of seriously flawed plans to bring Level 4 of the Dungeon to an end. We also finally meet the delightfully unhinged Prepotente and his handler, Miriam Dom, who prove to be no slouches in the Dungeon. Meanwhile, Carl comes up with another completely reasonable plan: involuntarily summon a Level 250 War God and hurl him at his other dungeon nemeses using the portal carts. Shockingly, something goes wrong...and suddenly Carl is trapped in a televised Death Challenge between an invulnerable god and the deadliest Crawler Killer on the floor. We also get the unlikely return of a Royal Orc who does not enjoy being digitally fucked. Here, Piglet, Piglet, Piglet! Want to join the discussion? This week, we cover Chapters 29, 30, and 31 of The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook — DCC Book 3 . The final battle looms as we set the stage for the end of the Iron Tangle, but not before we get a few more twists. Bautista finally reveals that he likes to play with Beanie Babies, Katia gets a bolt designed to make a god bleed, and the prodigal Mordecai returns — only to promptly freak out over Carl’s Ring of Divine Suffering. Plus, we set up a portal to the Pit as the gang has to HOLD THE LINE against the Krakarens! Want to join the discussion? Come hang out with the community at r/DavesFirstCrawl .
This week on Dave's First Crawl, we're covering Chapters 26, 27, and 28 of The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook ...and Carl discovers that saving 600 stranded crawlers requires a very "hands on" approach. Poor Growler Gary becomes the unsuspecting MVP of Carl's latest rescue plan, as intricate portal carts, exploding trains, and Krakaren nests push the Iron Tangle closer to complete chaos. Meanwhile, Princess Donut is forced to give up a fortune in train hats to save everyone else...only to receive one of the most heartfelt tributes in the series so far. End game for floor 4 is approaching ladies and gentlemen! Plus, we discuss Reddit moderator Nazis, a very random Horror movie review, and Dave declares war on those who don't respect auditory boundaries. Come join the discussion on Reddit @ r/DavesFirstCrawl .
This week on Dave’s First Crawl , we’re covering Chapters 23, 24, and 25 of The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook —DCC Book 3. Katia accidentally kills the #2 crawler in the dungeon, jumps 13 levels, and ends up with a ridiculously overpowered crossbow. Sometimes the AI System just says, "Congratulations, you've got main character energy now." Turns out Hekla's assassination plot was even bolder than we thought. Carl pieces together the entire scheme, Silfa realizes she was just a pawn, Eva makes an escape, and Brynhild's Daughters completely implode. And because Carl apparently hasn't learned his lesson, he decides the only reasonable plan from here is to save every stranded crawler on the floor. Can he actually save them all? Plus, lots of shout-outs to our Redditors. Come talk some more shit to us on....r/DavesFirstCrawl.
This week on Dave’s First Crawl , we’re covering Chapters 20, 21, and 22 of The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook —DCC Book 3. Frank Q finally gets his revenge by giving Carl… a ring. Very romantic. Very normal. Definitely nothing ominous about that. We also finally meet Hekla, who is supposed to be one of the good guys. Turns out, she sucks. Surprise! Meanwhile, Katia transforms into a goddamn cowcatcher and helps the crew turn an army of mobs into dungeon roadkill. Blood, guts, body parts—just a completely reasonable amount of carnage. And as if Katia hasn’t been through enough, someone nearly has her assassinated. By who? Come argue about it with us at r/DavesFirstCrawl.
The Royal Court of Princess Donut encounter a ghoul infestation as they get closer to solving the Iron Tangle. We meet the homie Widget who in turn meets his untimely doom. Madison explains the mechanics behind the Iron Tangle's Cruelty: HR imposed overtime. Katia questions Donut's motivations, loyalties are beginning to be tested, and Frank Q returns with a gift wrapped in vengeance for Carl. Want to join the discussion? This week, we cover Chapters 14, 15, and 16 of The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook — DCC Book 3. Carl gets flattened by the Nightmare Express, meets Fire Brandy — the MILF who saves the day — and finally gets to drive a freakin’ train. We crack open sponsor loot boxes, level up, and deal with Bababoons in Nic Cage and “Suck It” T-shirts trying to murder everybody. Want to join the discussion? This week, we cover Chapters 11, 12, and 13 of The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook — DCC Book 3 . Dave and Emi dive into a BBB Boss Battle , finally get a conductor’s key, watch Katia lose some fingers — but don’t worry, Carl’s got her back (pack) — and help finish off some flesh blankets and war mages on the dismemberment-limited train. And finally we get some sponsors! Carl gets a neural enhancer from the Valtay - whats this about portals? Want to join the discussion? Come hang out with the community at r/DavesFirstCrawl.
And this is why we don’t let Donut drink unsupervised! Covering chapters 8, 9 & 10 of "The Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook" (DCC Book 3), Dave and Emi dive into the mysteries of the cookbook & cover a long awaited reunion with some "old" friends. A night out at the Desperado Club goes sideways fast: Frost magic flies, Donut crosses a line she can’t uncross, and Carl takes a high-stakes spin at the Casino. Don't forget to stick around for "What Grinds My Gears?" for a Dave's First Crawl debut and very special guest. Want to join the discussion? Come hang out with the community at r/DavesFirstCrawl.
Join hosts Dave and Emi (Eric) as we grind some cornets, crack open fan prize boxes, and...oh yeah - Mordecai gets banished! Plus, Katia gets a mohawk, and the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook finally reveals what it really is. Let’s burn it all down. Choo choo, crawlers. Want to join the discussion? Come hang out with the community at r/DavesFirstCrawl.
Join hosts Dave and Emi (Eric) as they honor Brandon — RIP, you absolute hero. Then it’s full speed ahead into chaos: breaking into the conductor’s room, finding a reward room, lighting Vernon on fire, and mowing down mobs along the way. Choo choo, crawlers. Join hosts Dave and Emi (Eric) as we arrive on Floor 4 and enter the chaos of the IRON TANGLE. The crew survives their first train ride, runs into Dreks and Jikininki and promptly squishes their way through the mayhem while constructing a superfortress to stay alive. And yes — Carl finally gets a train conductor hat. Want to join the discussion? Come hang out with the community at r/DavesFirstCrawl.
We survived the 3rd floor—barely. Join Dave and Emi (Eric) as we finish Dungeon Crawler Carl: Book 2 – Carl’s Doomsday Scenario , dig into the bonus content from Backstage at the Pineapple Cabaret , and unpack Odette’s behind-the-scenes revelations. Celestial boxes are on the table… or maybe not. It’s chaotic. It’s spoilery. Hit play.
Dave and Emi (Eric) are back breaking down Carl’s Doomsday Scenario chapters 23–25, where the cursed hooker quest finally makes sense, a lich gets absolutely deleted, and survival turns into full-on panic mode. We meet some new crawlers, crank the stakes to 11, and yes—Emi once again cannot shut up about Carl’s massive dong.
Dave and Emi return to discuss the fall-out from the failed assassination attempt on Carl & Donut by Prince Stalwart, the siege of the 201st Security division headquarters, and an explosive saboteur attack on the capitol building of the Magistrate of the Medium Sky Fowl Settlement. Also, we meet Katia Grim, our newest addition to the party of "The Royal Court of Princess Donut." Plus, the holidays suck, the weather (in Dallas during the holidays) sucks, and the US legal system most certainly sucks.
Dave and Eric (Emi) are back with Book 2, Chapters 18–19! Carl, Donut, and Mongo go searching for Magistrate Fetherfall, only to walk straight into a zombie beatdown because of course they do. Then it’s off to a round table with Ripper, a first meeting with Hekkla, and Carl casually lighting the fuse on a full-blown rebellion… right as the Skull Empire decides today’s a great day to strike.
Join hosts Dave and Eric (Emi) as we finally crash the MF Desperado Club! We meet Quint — half-Djinn, half-garbage scowl, and 100% chaos. Then things get wild: dead hookers, a fallen hero (RIP Gum-Gum, you will be avenged!), and some seriously terrifying floating head's. Krasue, you scary as hell! And Featherfall? You sketchy bastard. Yeah, we’re calling you out.
🎪 Step right up, crawlers! Join hosts Dave and Emi (Eric) as we charge into Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 2, Chapters 10–13! We hit Grimaldi’s twisted circus , snack on a few mind-controlling worms , and watch Carl and Signet patch things up—sort of. Meanwhile, Mongo goes full beast mode to save Donut from the Street Urchins, and then it’s off to the Desperado Club , baby—because we’re going clubbin’!
Join hosts Dave and Emi (Eric) as we dive into Carl’s Doomsday Scenario , chapters 6–9 (nice). Carl’s on his own, Mongo’s in full guard-dog mode, and yes—there’s a roller-skating bear. Our hero takes on Grimaldi’s twisted circus with Signet’s tattoo army in one of the wildest arcs yet!
The dungeon expands, the stakes rise, and the clowns… are horrifying. In this episode, Dave and Eric kick off Book 2 of Dungeon Crawler Carl, covering Chapters 1–5 of Carl’s Doomsday Scenario. From choosing races and classes to Morteci’s legendary bender, the Overcity wastes no time reminding us that survival is going to be a bloody circus.
