On the evening of 3 March 2021, 33-year-old Sarah Everard was kidnapped in South London, England, as she was walking home to the Brixton Hill area from a friend's house near Clapham Common. She was stopped by off-duty Metropolitan Police constable Wayne Couzens, who identified himself as a police officer and handcuffed her. He drove Everard to Kent, where he raped and strangled her before burning her body and disposing of her remains in a pond in woodland.

A Mothers Story With Allison Taylor. A man who murdered an NHS worker with a knife and scissors at a tower block in Glasgow has been jailed for eight years. Darren McDade admitted causing the death of Kyle Zybilowicz, 29, at the victim's flat in Dumbreck Court on 22 July, 2023. A trial heard McDade, 34, went to a "Herculean effort" to avoid being caught for the killing, including hiding the weapon and burning his clothes. McDade had been on trial for murder at the High Court in Glasgow, but was convicted of a lesser charge of culpable homicide while acting under provocation. McDade said he had feared for his own life after Mr Zybilowicz forced himself on him, bit him hard on the finger and attempted to grab the scissors. McDade said he got to them first before striking Mr Zybilowicz, although he did not know how many times he struck him.

The Disappearance of Claudia Lawrence With Detective Jon Wedger On 18 March 2009, Claudia Elizabeth Lawrence, a 35-year-old chef at the University of York's Goodricke College, was last seen leaving work in Heworth, York. She was later spotted near her home and spoke to both of her parents by phone that evening. Despite appearing in good spirits, she failed to report for work the next day and has not been seen or heard from since. Police later treated the case as a suspected murder, with multiple individuals arrested and subsequently released without charge. Lawrence's fate remains unknown.

Paige Doherty, a 15 year-old schoolgirl from Clydebank, Scotland, was brutally murdered on March 19, 2016, by deli owner John Leatham in a frenzied unprovoked knife attack. She was stabbed hundreds of times after entering the shop to buy breakfast. Leatham was sentenced to life with a minimum of 27 years, later reduced to 23.
