Epic Pub Quiz

Ohhhhh boy, we back! And omg...even though I took a little time off because of...life things, I've been missing posting these for a while now. Apologies to all of our previous listeners, regular in-person trivia players, and anyone else for the delay. But hey, ish happens. We're back and better than ever with more trivia, more shenanigans, and all sorts of things that we can do on just audio only.... How many episodes does it take to make a 'season' in the podcast world? Please say it's 20, bc then I can say we're onto our 2nd! ....this is a never ending project let's be real. And I'm stoked about it! This episode is a classic EPQ, with some actual solid questions, a little history, some....death....and then shenanigans. Which is basically our lifecycle of trivia, whatever that means. Enjoy EP21 and if anyone wants to get involved in anything Epic Pub Quiz - let me know! Trivia should be fun and approachable, filled with goofiness....some of y'all take this way too seriously.

We made it to episode 20! That's a milestone, right? But keeping up with a regular posting schedule...for the most part. And honestly, I'm still shocked that anyone is listening to this - but hey, I'll keep doing them until I retire, or get usurped by my padawan. In this episode, we go back to some old favorites and don't get as silly as in one of the previous episodes. But that just means some shenanigans are currently being brewed...again this isn't supposed to be serious trivia. We the Mario Party of trivia... someone's gonna steal stars in the last term, someone is getting punched in the arm, but there's usually drinks and we're all still friends at the end. Cheers ya'll! What's more fun than colors, food, directions, and sci-fi?! All of them together as themes for our pub quiz rounds, of course...you know, as the old saying goes... Look at that, weekly releases! That's right, we've figured out our ishhh on this end and now will be bringing you weekly pub quizzes on all the audio platforms! We got a "fun" review on Apple Podcasts a few weeks back, but hey, I get it. We're settling on a format, and that means I get to focus more on the questions, content, and production instead of fighting the system for music rounds. That is defintely reflected in today's episode - Historical Person Twitter, a crazy 50/50 round, and of course some regular pub quiz questions. I hope y'all enjoy, and remember, don't take this too seriously - trivia should be fun and filled with shenanigans. Because a pub quiz should be about enjoying being at a pub, not playing jeopardy for life and death.

I died, but I lived! Oh boy was February a fun month, 27 straight days of events...plus my birthday. I'm pretty sure I spent more time at a breweries doing Epic Pub Quizzes then I spent actually at home. But we back with a brand new episode! Keeping with our NEW standard format of 4 rounds...until I can bring back audio. But at least we're still around 30 min per episode, and shockingly, got this one under that mark...but a hair. No, you're not going crazy. It does jump from 13 to 15...why? Well that's explained in the opening minute of this episode. I said I wouldn't do it again, but here we are. This was recorded again at 3am after a night of doing trivia and a private event...so it took way more editing than should be needed. If you are reading this, then I'll tell you there are a few "edits" along the way...because Alex forgot to record answers or other very important pieces of information during the initial recording. So there are several interjections from a few days later... But hey, at least you can tell we're not a big corporation? Just trying to have fun and bring a pub quiz vibe to audio format. And what's more pub quiz-ish than having someone be a lil too tipsy run the quiz or suggest answers? This was painful for me to edit... Who wants to listen to themselves after a full night at the pub - that is the sacrifice I'm willing to do for you all! Enjoy! -Alex

Okay...new rule - don't let me record at 3am. Or do? idk, but that's what I did for this episode. A lot has happened in the last few weeks, and just got the urge to get one of these recorded and posted...but oh boy, did I have a long day of events at multiple breweries...so that may come through a bit in the audio... Either way, enjoy this episode. I defintely say this was episode 10, its not. AND I even add a 'THE' to one of the song titles, it doesn't have one. Oh well, lets have some fun! Cheers!
