  1. Everything’s Perfect Except... Nothing About This Case Adds Up from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Sep 15, 20261 hr 14 min

⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING: This episode discusses the Lindsay Clancy case in detail, including child loss, postpartum psychosis, self-harm, and suicide. Autumn and Donald are sharing their personal opinions based on publicly available information. They are not attorneys or medical professionals. This week, there’s no Phone a Friend. Autumn and Donald sit down to unpack the Lindsay Clancy trial, the evidence that raised questions for them, and the details they believe deserve a closer look. They discuss the reported timeline, Lindsay’s body temperature, medication found in her system, the crushed pills reportedly discovered in a cup, surveillance footage from Patrick’s errands, and testimony that left both of them with more questions than answers. But this episode becomes about something much bigger than one case. Autumn and Donald also talk about postpartum mental health, psychosis, the pressure placed on new mothers, and what happens when a woman is actively asking for help but still isn’t getting the support she needs. 💌 We Want to Hear From You Where do you land on the Lindsay Clancy case? 2. Everything’s Perfect Except… Maybe You Should Quit from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Sep 8, 202649 min

Follow us for more health advice: drink water and hide your feet unless somebody’s paying extra. 😂 This week, Autumn and Donald are talking about quitting culture — and whether quitting is actually always the bad thing we’ve been taught it is. Because there’s a BIG difference between giving up the second something gets uncomfortable… and realizing that a relationship, job, workout, friendship, lifestyle, or version of yourself simply isn’t working anymore. And sometimes? Staying is actually the bigger form of quitting. 🎧 Summary Someone suggested Autumn and Donald bring an expert onto the podcast to discuss why younger generations supposedly “quit everything.” Their response? Fuck an expert. Let’s talk about it. 😂 And it turns into a much bigger conversation than expected. When does quitting mean you lack discipline — and when does walking away mean you’re finally being honest with yourself? Autumn talks about the rule she gave Dom growing up: if you join the team, you finish the season. You don’t walk away halfway through when other people are depending on you. But once that commitment is fulfilled? You absolutely get to decide it isn’t for you anymore. That opens the door to relationships. Why can you date ten people and nobody calls you a quitter when those relationships end… but the second a marriage ends, suddenly someone “gave up”? They talk about the uncomfortable reality that sometimes staying in the wrong relationship, job, friendship, or life situation means you’ve actually quit pursuing the life you want. But there’s another side to it. Sometimes things are just hard. Three days into a nutrition plan does not mean it “isn’t aligned.” Wednesday of your first week of workouts might not be the moment to decide it isn’t for you. And being uncomfortable doesn’t automatically mean something is toxic. Sometimes you need to stick around long enough to get good at the thing before you get to experience the joy of overcoming it. They get into paying your dues, Autumn wanting to back out of HYROX after already committing, changing workout programs without abandoning fitness altogether, Donald’s decision to stop being vegan after realizing part of the reason he stayed was because of what other people might think, and why a commitment involving other people carries a different weight than one you made only to yourself. And then… **boundaries enter the chat.** 👀 Both Autumn and Donald believe in boundaries. They also think we may have reached a point where some people use the word *boundary* to avoid conflict, uncomfortable conversations, responsibility, or anything they simply don’t want to do. Donald brings up a recent friendship that still hasn’t recovered months after a disagreement — which leads to a surprisingly nuanced conversation about the difference between setting a genuine boundary and trying to control the entire situation by labeling everything that makes you uncomfortable as one. So… when should you quit? When should you stay? How long do you have to give something a chance before you can honestly say, *“I tried this, and it’s not for me”*? And maybe the better question isn’'t "Am I quitting?” Maybe it’s: “What exactly did I commit to — and am I still honoring that commitment by staying?” This one might make you rethink a few things you’ve walked away from… and a few things you’re still holding onto.

  3. Everything’s Perfect Except… We’re Having a Midlife Crisis from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Sep 1, 202656 min

No Phone a Friend this week. Just a real conversation about midlife, purpose, and what happens when the decade that defined you quietly ends. Donald admits live on air that he might be having a midlife crisis…and Autumn realizes she may be right there with him. What follows is one of their most honest conversations yet: the end of the Beachbody era, losing the version of life where 20,000 people knew your name, rebuilding your identity when the thing that defined you changes, and wondering whether this chapter is “starting over” or actually a rebirth. They get into the weird post-pandemic feeling that never completely went away, social media turning from something fun into a full-time production studio, doom-scrolling instead of doing the uncomfortable thing, and comparing yourself to people whose entire job is making their life look effortless. Donald talks about being 20+ programs deep and suddenly going blank while cueing workouts, wondering if he’s already said everything there is to say. Autumn shares the moment ChatGPT stopped helping her write beverage copy long enough to basically ask, “Where is the joy in your life?” — and yes, apparently the answer included buying herself flowers. Oh, and before any of this, Autumn unloaded 2,200 pounds of beverage cans from a semi-truck at 8:30 in the morning, with no ramp, in full hair and makeup, while setting up a tripod to film the whole thing. Because entrepreneur life. Maybe it’s a midlife crisis. Maybe it’s burnout. Maybe it’s realizing that the life you worked so hard to build isn’t supposed to stay exactly the same forever. Or maybe it’s a rebirth. 🎙 TIMESTAMPS 0:00 — 2,200 lbs of cans. No ramp. Full makeup. 5. Everything's Perfect Except...Nobody Warns You About THIS Part of Motherhood from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Aug 18, 202657 min

Autumn is joined by her longtime friend Natalie, who is taking over Donald's chair for the episode. After 15 years of friendship, these two have stories. Autumn and Natalie rewind to the beginning of their 15-year friendship, when Autumn approached Natalie at the gym to tell her she could lift heavier. One conversation later, they discovered they had more in common than expected, and before long they were inseparable. Traveling, going out, and making the kind of memories that only seem possible before toddlers and early bedtimes enter the picture. Now they're both in their 40s, but they're experiencing motherhood from completely different sides. Autumn had Dom at 28 and now has a 17-year-old, while Natalie became a mom at 40 and is currently deep in toddler life. They get candid about how dramatically parenthood changes your identity, your schedule, your relationship, your energy and even something as simple as going to the grocery store. Natalie shares the realities of childbirth, postpartum recovery, having a colicky baby and the emotional weight behind deciding whether she truly wants a second child. That leads to a bigger conversation about the "one and done" stigma, finances, support systems, and whether having another child simply to provide a sibling is worth becoming a depleted parent. Autumn also reflects on wanting another child after Dom, considering fostering, entering perimenopause earlier than expected, and why life ultimately took her in another direction. Then the conversation turns to where Autumn's drive really came from. Raised by a single father in a working-class family, she started working at 14 to help pay for the dance lessons and competition expenses she wanted. Looking back, she can see how having to figure things out for herself so young helped create the relentless "find a way" mentality that followed her into entrepreneurship. And because these two can't stay serious for too long, they finish with memories of spontaneous Vegas road trips, late-night chicken fingers, sleeping with food in the bed and the now-iconic story of Natalie arriving at LAX with black beans falling out of her hair. 6. Everything’s Perfect Except… Your Partner Stopped Showing Up from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Aug 11, 202643 min

Donald is back from his first trip to Europe, and apparently he came home a changed man. From seeing the Colosseum lit up at night and cooking with a real Italian nonna on the Amalfi Coast to Monaco's no-shorts dress code and a flamenco show in Barcelona so intense it almost inspired an international move, Donald gives Autumn the full European debrief. There are ancient cities that feel like movie sets, Bentleys everywhere in Monaco, a TikTok dance attempt at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and Italian shopkeepers who saw the name **Calabrese** and immediately decided Autumn should understand fluent Italian. And, naturally, somehow the conversation also gets to tipping European performers with coins and Donald's ongoing "Miss Calabrese" humiliation tour. Then Phone a Friend takes the episode in a completely different direction. A listener is 48, feeling stronger and healthier than ever, while her husband of 30 years is nearly 300 pounds, sitting out hikes, zip lines, and more of the life she wants them to experience together. She isn't asking because she wants him to look different. She wants her husband healthy, present, alive for retirement — and, yes, she'd also like their sex life to get hotter. Autumn and Donald dig into what may really be hiding underneath "I don't care." Is it grief? Insecurity? Depression? Fear of failing? Or has one partner simply stopped participating in the relationship? They talk about why hinting rarely works, how to meet someone where they are without enabling them, and why sometimes loving your partner means being willing to say the uncomfortable thing out loud. Donald shares his straightforward approach — including the occasional **"put your shoes on"** — while Autumn talks about what can happen when women spend years bending, accommodating, and quietly keeping score until one day they're simply done. And they land on one deceptively simple relationship question: "Is this important to you?" Because sometimes the issue isn't the hike, the movie, the food, or the workout. It's whether your partner is willing to show up for something simply because it matters to you. 🎙️ In This Episode **0:00** — Cold open: 104° in LA and the throat "queef" heard round the world **0:48** — Donald's back: the Europe debrief begins **1:28** — Standing where the gladiators stood at the Colosseum **2:49** — Vatican art, ancient statues, and trying to understand how any of it was built **5:13** — The Amalfi Coast steals the show **5:31** — Cooking with an Italian nonna **6:10** — Small-town Europe and the realization that there's no Target **7:21** — Pisa and the TikTok dance at the Leaning Tower **8:39** — Monaco: Rolls-Royces, 007 energy, and Kris Jenner at the next table **9:48** — Why Donald couldn't wear shorts to the Monte Carlo Casino **11:00** — Marseille and Donald's long-awaited French beret moment **11:49** — Exploring Barcelona's El Born and Gothic Quarter **12:24** — The flamenco show that made Donald want to change his entire life **14:27** — Why Europe may be more affordable than you think **15:36** — Planning Autumn's future European birthday trip **16:22** — Italy vs. France and the beginning of "Miss Calabrese" **18:58** — European drag shows and the problem with tipping in coins **20:08** — Phone a Friend: "I want my husband to live — and our sex life to get hotter" **23:09** — The menopause awakening: when she speeds up and he slows down **24:06** — What's underneath the weight? 8. Everything’s Perfect Except… Grandma Gave an Ultimatum from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Jul 21, 20261 hr 11 min

It all starts with a wedding invitation that was never sent. This week’s first Phone a Friend cracks open one of the messiest questions in family life: what do you do when Grandma refuses to attend the wedding unless the aunt who “doesn’t support the lifestyle” is invited too? Donald doesn’t answer in theory. He shares his own experience with an aunt who unfriended him on Facebook after he came out, the message she sent about how “wrong” it was to be gay, and the deeply awkward reunion that followed years later at his grandfather’s funeral. Would he invite her to his own wedding just to make the decision hers? He’s torn—and the debate that follows is honest, personal, and complicated in all the right ways. Autumn brings her own receipts on family control: the 200-person Ohio wedding her dad expected her to throw, the graduation party he scheduled for the exact time her flight landed, and the Christmas he threatened to stop co-signing her college loans—and lost. The conversation becomes a masterclass in boundaries, expectations, and the stories families create about how major moments are “supposed” to look. Donald shares the advice from a pastor that changed his perspective forever: You don’t have to spend Thanksgiving with people you wouldn’t spend a Tuesday with . Then a second Phone a Friend shifts the conversation to health and personal responsibility: how do you help a sister who repeatedly asks for advice, workout plans, and account logins—but never follows through? Autumn and Donald unpack why people freeze, why talking about change can feel like making progress, and why the kindest response may be to stop solving and start asking: “Would you like my advice, or do you just need to talk?” From there, the practical fire begins: why people need skin in the game, how a 350-calorie deficit disappears with one fancy “coffee,” Donald’s shocking crouton confession, and the diet soda debate that gave 15-year-old Autumn a six-pack. They also share a heartbreaking Mountain Dew story that reframes conversations around food, habits, and “addiction” with far more empathy—and reminds us that sometimes the best place to begin is by adding something good instead of immediately taking everything away. Plus, Good Mood Brews goes cocktail. Beauty Brew and tequila? Coconut Lime Matcha and Malibu? Say less. Autumn and Donald explore family loyalty, wedding boundaries, generational expectations, health accountability, and the difference between supporting someone and repeatedly rescuing them. They also get honest about the emotional blocks that keep people stuck, the habits that quietly sabotage progress, and why empathy can sometimes create more change than shame ever will. If you’ve ever drawn a boundary with family and paid for it—or loved someone who keeps asking for help but cannot seem to help themselves—this episode is for you. 🏋️ Work With Donald — Health and Wellness Coaching Ready to stop waiting for physical results before allowing yourself to feel good? It started with one sip. A month before launch, Autumn cracked open her brand-new Good Mood Brew , and something was off. With 300 cases sitting in her garage, a photoshoot the next day, and months of work on the line, she found herself on the phone with the president of the formulation company trying to figure out how a nearly perfect product had gone sideways. The culprit? A two-degree difference in the manufacturing process. That story sets the stage for a candid conversation about what entrepreneurship really looks like—the long days, self-doubt, criticism, impossible standards, and the passion that keeps you going anyway. A listener's "Phone a Friend" asks a question so many aspiring entrepreneurs wrestle with: What if everything has already been invented? Autumn and Donald explain why originality isn't about creating something that's never existed, it's about bringing your unique perspective, solving problems differently, and having the courage to start before you feel ready. Along the way, they pull back the curtain on white labeling, celebrity brands, product development, scaling a business, and why "good enough" has never been part of Autumn's vocabulary. Donald also reflects on the music project he'd approach differently today, shares how that experience shaped the way he creates now, and opens up about his newest venture: deconstruction coaching—helping people rebuild their beliefs, identity, and confidence from the ground up. If you've ever dreamed of starting a business, launched something that didn't go as planned, or wondered what it actually takes to build something from scratch, this episode is for you. 💌 Phone a Friend Have something you want Autumn and Donald to talk through? Ghosting. Open relationships. Bathroom kisses. Where does cheating actually begin? This week's Phone a Friend takes Autumn and Donald somewhere they never expected. A married couple from Mentor, Ohio writes in about navigating an "open relationship-ish" dynamic that's built on honesty... but constantly derailed by ghosting, mixed signals, and trying to find someone who actually fits into their relationship. Along the way, Donald learns a new term—ethical non-monogamy—and the conversation turns into an honest look at how modern relationships really work. Then another letter changes everything. After a night of drinking, one listener shares that she and a female friend kissed in a bathroom at a house party. Both women have boyfriends. Now she's questioning what it meant, whether it counts as cheating, and what she's supposed to do next. Autumn and Donald tackle questions about boundaries, honesty, bisexuality, jealousy, open relationships, emotional fidelity, and why the hardest conversations are often the ones we avoid having with the people we love most. Donald also opens up about the first kiss that completely changed the direction of his life, while Autumn explains why boundaries only work when everyone actually knows what they are. If you've ever wondered: Is kissing someone else cheating? Can open relationships actually work? What's the difference between ethical non-monogamy and an open relationship? 11. Everything's Perfect Except…Why Adult Friendships Fall Apart from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Jun 30, 202654 min

When a friend disappears, is it a boundary... or just the end? A reconnect request from a friend who spent their 20s talking behind someone's back opens the door to one of the most honest conversations Autumn and Donald have had about adult friendships. They unpack the relationships that quietly fall apart, the ones worth fighting for, and the ones you have to let go. Donald shares a friendship fallout that's happening in real time after nearly a decade of friendship suddenly turns into two weeks of silence. Autumn tells the full story of the five-year friendship she rarely talks about—including fake social media accounts, a spreadsheet built for online harassment, and the group-text betrayal that finally ended it. They also dive into the uncomfortable realities that end friendships: jealousy disguised as support, ghosting instead of honest conversations, politics, privilege, forgiveness, and why difficult conversations should happen on the phone—not through texts or ten-minute voice memos. If you've ever wondered why someone you loved suddenly went cold, how to recognize unhealthy friendships before they cost you years, or what real closure actually looks like, this episode is for you. 📋 Episode Summary Adult friendships rarely end with one dramatic fight. More often, they fade through silence, avoidance, resentment, and conversations that never happen. This week's Phone a Friend starts with a listener wondering whether to reconnect with someone from their past who was never truly a good friend. That question quickly turns into a much bigger conversation about the friendships we outgrow—and the ones that quietly outgrow us. Donald opens up about a painful falling out with one of his closest friends of nearly ten years, sharing how two weeks of silence can hurt more than a difficult conversation ever could. Autumn follows with one of the most personal stories she's ever shared on the podcast: a five-year friendship that unraveled after discovering fake social media accounts, online bullying, manipulation, and a group-text confrontation that ended everything. Along the way they discuss when political differences become friendship dealbreakers, why privilege requires speaking up for others, how jealousy quietly poisons relationships, and why ghosting is often just conflict avoidance disguised as a boundary. Their biggest takeaway is simple: if someone matters to you, have the conversation. If the friendship is over, say so. It's the uncertainty in between that leaves people carrying the hurt long after the relationship ends. 💌 Phone a Friend Have something you'd like Autumn and Donald to talk through? A church search that turned into a comment-section war, the Bible verse that makes a case for girl power, and why "born in sin" might be one of the most damaging ideas religion ever sold us. Autumn and Donald get into all of it this week. From Donald's deconstruction journey to Autumn's emergency C-section and the first hour of bonding she never got back, this one goes places most podcasts won't. Faith without fear, women without apology, and zero patience for people using God as a hall pass for hate. Oh yeah! It's gonna be a great one! 📋 Summary What happens when a gay man goes looking for a church and the internet loses its mind? That's where this episode starts—and it doesn't slow down from there. After Donald posted about searching for a faith community as part of his spiritual journey, strangers flooded the comments with opinions, judgment, and plenty of Bible verses. What follows is one of the most honest conversations Autumn and Donald have ever had about religion, spirituality, shame, and what happens when people use faith as a weapon instead of a source of love. The two dive into everything from growing up religious and walking away, to why context matters when reading ancient texts, and how certain teachings can shape the way people see themselves for years. Donald shares how freeing it was to let go of the belief that he was inherently broken, while Autumn questions some of the rigid rules she was taught growing up. The conversation eventually shifts to women, power, and the impossible standards society places on them. From aging and appearance to divorce and self-worth, Autumn and Donald unpack why women are constantly criticized no matter what they do, and why it's time to stop apologizing for taking up space. Autumn also shares one of her most personal stories yet: Dom's birth, 27 hours of labor, an emergency C-section, and the lingering grief of missing those first moments with her son. No Phone a Friends this week. Just two people saying the quiet parts out loud. 💌 Phone a Friend Have something you want Autumn and Donald to talk through? Short workouts vs. hour-long sessions. Walking away from a life you built. And what it really takes to create lasting change. This week, Autumn and Donald tackle some of life's biggest questions: Is 20 minutes enough? How do you know when it's time to leave something behind? And what actually creates transformation that lasts? From progressive overload and fitness myths to cross-country moves that changed everything, this episode is about trusting your gut, even when it's terrifying. Three Phone a Friends. Zero shortcuts. Hit play and move with us. 🎧 Episode Summary Autumn is filming her entire app solo, a resistance loop just snapped mid-workout, and Donald is keeping a daily pushup streak alive. The episode is already in full swing. The first Phone a Friend comes from a busy working mom of two who has seen real results from 15–30 minute workouts but keeps hearing from fitness influencers that short sessions can't build muscle. Autumn doesn't mince words: progressive overload can happen in countless ways, and consistency beats perfection every time. Donald backs it up with his own daily pushup habit as proof that small actions compound into big results. The second Phone a Friend tackles reinvention. A listener worked hard to build the life they have, but deep down feels unfulfilled and is terrified to walk away. Autumn shares the story of packing up a Honda Civic and moving to Los Angeles with no guarantees—not once, but twice—and the five difficult weeks in Dallas that taught her exactly where she belonged. Donald reflects on leaving Los Angeles and how a single lunch in Nashville ended up changing the course of his life. The third conversation turns inward. A listener asks whether Tony Robbins' Unleash the Power Within is worth attending and what truly creates lasting change. Autumn opens up about nearly losing a job she loved, being forced to confront her own patterns, and the mindset shift that finally changed everything. Along the way, Autumn shares stories from her bodybuilding days, including coaches with wildly different approaches to nutrition, while Donald talks about the grief that comes with leaving behind people who feel like family. Because sometimes growth doesn't feel exciting—it feels terrifying. And sometimes the only way forward is to move before you're ready. No shortcuts this week. Just two people who've changed direction enough times to know that fear never fully goes away, you simply learn to move with it. 💪 Good Mood Crew App Autumn's fitness app featuring workout programs, nutrition coaching, and community support. 👉 goodmoodcrew.app 💌 Phone a Friend Have something you want Autumn and Donald to talk through? Autumn's back is cracking like bubble wrap and the episode is already in full swing. This week features two Phone a Friends. The first comes from a straight woman whose gay best friend says things that feel suspiciously like flirting, leaving her wondering what to do with the mixed signals. Autumn's answer is simple: receive it the same way you'd receive it from a girlfriend. Donald shares a much more personal perspective, reflecting on the women he unintentionally confused before coming out and the complicated emotions that can arise when admiration, affection, and attraction get tangled together. The second Phone a Friend is harder to hear without feeling something. A woman shares the story of ending a relationship with a man 31 years younger than her. Nine months in, they're still deeply in love, but she ended it because he wants a family she can't give him. They're still talking. They're still hurting. And they're both struggling to let go. Along the way, Autumn tells the story of the college swing dancing partner she spent an entire year trying to figure out, Donald reflects on the girlfriends he accidentally led on before coming out, and shares the unforgettable compliment from a dance student who once told him he was "the ice cream cone everyone wants to lick but knows they can't have." The conversation eventually turns to first loves, heartbreak, and the reality that sometimes loving someone means letting them go. Donald shares the story of having to ask his first love to stop calling because every time his phone rang, his heart hoped it was him. No easy answers this week. Just two people who have lived enough life to know that grief has its own timeline, some relationships are only meant for a season, and sometimes the only thing that actually works is time. Donald is in town from Arizona and the Good Mood Beauty Brew is flowing! The conversation immediately spirals into exactly the kind of chaos you'd expect from two besties who haven't seen each other in a while and now proceed to word-vomit every random thought they've had during their time apart. It starts with Autumn's passionate hatred of the '70s porn mustache trend currently taking over Target and Donald realizing he has been mispronouncing basic words for most of his adult life. From there? It somehow escalates into Common Core math trauma, why cursive disappearing from schools might actually matter, AI replacing jobs, doomscrolling-induced anxiety, Tesla trying to steer Autumn into traffic, printed meat, teleportation theory, robot uprisings, and why the safest long-term plan may honestly just be planting a garden and getting a chicken. Like we said, chaos. You've been warned. They also break down Autumn's last-minute floor-seat experience at the Netflix Roast of Kevin Hart, including Usher rising from beneath the stage, Tom Brady roasting Kevin, and The Rock going completely off-script while they watched from close enough to see the teleprompters. 16. Everything’s Perfect…Except We Keep Eating Our Feelings from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    May 26, 20261 hr 10 min

A listener question about binge-eating spirals turns into one of the most practical health conversations yet on Everything’s Perfect Podcast. What starts as “Why can’t I stop?” becomes a bigger discussion about emotional eating, dopamine, food marketing, routines, consistency, and why health has a lot less to do with perfection than people think. The episode kicks off with a Phone a Friend from an almost-40 mom of two who feels stuck in a cycle she can’t explain. She follows Portion Fix, measures her food, stays on track… until a vague urge hits. She starts searching the kitchen trying to satisfy something she can’t even name, ends up overstuffed, feels guilty, restricts harder the next day, and repeats the cycle all over again. Autumn’s response? If you can’t identify the craving, it probably isn’t food you’re hungry for. Real cravings are specific. Emotional eating usually isn’t. The conversation digs into stress, boredom, shame spirals, dopamine hits from processed food, insulin spikes, cortisol crashes, and why binge eating often becomes a chemistry problem long before it feels like a discipline problem. They also break down practical strategies that actually help: slowing down while eating recognizing emotional triggers before opening the pantry Autumn’s “first bite, last bite” rule from her Cheesecake Factory days why one square of good dark chocolate satisfies more than an entire junk-food binge the “you don’t NEED it, you WANT it” mindset shift why consistency beats chasing every new health trend The episode also dives into misleading “high protein” marketing, simple nutrition shortcuts, GLP-1 conversations, portion control, cutting fried food, Diet Coke confessions, and the reality that nobody naturally wakes up craving broccoli. Donald also admits, live on the episode, that he still hadn’t done his 60 pushups for the day. You WANT it.” The mindset shift that changes everything. 12:18 — Autumn catches herself almost boredom-eating after dinner. 13:16 — The hot tub strategy: physically removing yourself from the kitchen. 13:42 — GLP-1 medications and why they help emotional eaters. 14:15 — Donald shares a binge-eating memory from Ohio. 15:10 — Processed foods are engineered to keep you chasing dopamine. 15:59 — The shame spiral: “I already ruined it, so screw it.” 18:00 — Donald’s biggest rule: slow down while eating. 20:18 — Why this becomes a chemistry issue, not a willpower issue. 21:12 — “First bite, last bite.” The Cheesecake Factory lesson Autumn still lives by. 24:13 — Donald literally counting 18 protein pretzels to slow himself down. 25:03 — Food marketing lies: “high protein,” 100-calorie packs, and wellness trends. 28:46 — Autumn’s protein math trick to expose fake “high protein” foods. 31:31 — Why the container system simplifies all the nutrition confusion. 36:10 — Keeping a small Rolodex of easy, repeatable meals. 39:34 — Stop chasing new workouts. 17. Everything’s Perfect…Except Religion, Divorce & Throuples from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    May 19, 202657 min

Donald is back in studio with Autumn for what starts as a conversation about throuples and somehow turns into one of their deepest episodes yet: the beliefs they once held with complete certainty… and no longer believe at all. From religion, heaven, hell, reincarnation, and The Good Place, to divorce, politics, loving multiple people, sex work, diet culture, and why Donald used to hate potatoes with his entire soul — this episode spirals into a brutally honest conversation about how life experience changes people. Autumn opens up about growing up Catholic and questioning why a loving God would punish people for divorce, while Donald explains how coming out forced him to re-examine every belief he had sitting on the shelf. They unpack morality, personal growth, timelines, energy, hormones, relationships, The Bachelor paradox, and the danger of treating opinions as permanent identity traits instead of evolving perspectives. Along the way: Autumn’s fitness industry wake-up call after her own body stopped cooperating, Donald sleeping with a Bible on his chest to ward off demons, and the bookshelf analogy that unexpectedly ties the entire episode together. The biggest takeaway? Hold your strongest opinions a little looser. Life has a funny way of changing them. And through it all, one belief remains untouched: If it doesn’t affect you directly… mind your business . 💌 Listener Question: What’s a belief you once held strongly that life completely changed for you? 📩 everythingsperfectpodcast@gmail.com 📸 @everythingsperfectofficial 👤 Autumn Calabrese | Donald Stamper 🛍 Merch, episodes & updates: Everything’s Perfect 🎙 Key Topics with Timestamps 0:00 — Donald’s throuple friends and the logistics of the “big bed” 2:54 — The episode topic: beliefs they no longer hold 4:11 — Donald’s religious upbringing and fear of hell 5:53 — Autumn’s Catholic school years and questioning religion 8:39 — Reincarnation, energy, and the afterlife 9:55 — The Good Place and what happens after death 13:32 — The matrix, timelines, and whether time is linear 15:55 — Autumn’s fitness industry confession 20:26 — Donald’s potato redemption arc 21:23 — Why “calories in, calories out” isn’t the whole story 23:38 — Divorce and changing views on marriage 25:24 — Loving multiple people and monogamy stigma 28:37 — The Bachelor paradox 33:04 — Political party switching and evolving beliefs 38:14 — Donald auditing every belief after coming out 38:47 — The bookshelf analogy 39:22 — Tony Robbins, personal development, and “the blueprint” 49:39 — Sex work and morality 55:33 — Why strong opinions should be held more loosely 56:20 — Autumn’s lifelong philosophy: “Mind your business.”

  18. Everything’s Perfect…Except the Labels from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    May 12, 202653 min

Autumn is back in the studio 12 days post-op with a new face, fresh skin, and the kind of energy that only comes from surviving a laser treatment that basically peels your entire face off. She breaks down the full recovery process, including the hyperbaric oxygen chamber sessions she had to mentally survive with her claustrophobia, the laser resurfacing that was far more intense than expected, and her biggest fear going into surgery: not looking like herself afterward. Donald also shares his return to Invisalign, cosmetic procedure anxiety, and the strange experience of looking in the mirror and wondering if you still recognize your own face. Then comes this week’s Phone a Friend. A listener who identifies as queer says that after years focused on raising kids and rebuilding her life, she’s back in the dating world — but lately only finds herself attracted to straight men. Now she’s wondering if that somehow makes her a bad member of the queer community. That question opens up a much larger conversation about identity, labels, bisexuality vs. queerness vs. pansexuality, attraction to masculine and feminine energy, emotional connection during sex, whether you owe partners your sexual history, and why Donald believes labels should serve you — not trap you. Along the way, Autumn asks the blunt questions everyone else avoids asking out loud, the two debate the “threesome in a marriage” scenario and whether that changes someone’s identity, attraction to trans men, and why straight people rarely seem forced to overanalyze who they are the same way everyone else does. Also: The Abbey at 22, a drunk kiss, Instagram views exploding over post-op recovery videos, and the nipple test. 💌 Call to Action Have something you want Autumn and Donald to talk through? 19. Everything’s Perfect…Except I Don’t Want to Live With Him from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    May 5, 202657 min

Two “Phone a Friend” questions hit back-to-back—and neither has an easy answer. One woman isn’t sure she wants to give up her home and independence after seven years in a relationship. Another asks if she’s a bad wife for being completely okay with a sexless marriage after a health crisis changed her body and libido. Autumn and Donald unpack independence, intimacy, hormones, and the uncomfortable truth no one wants to say out loud: what happens when your needs—and your partner’s—don’t match anymore? The episode opens with underwear confidence and chaotic morning energy—Autumn running on fumes after a night out, Donald fully thriving before noon. A clip from The View sparks a deeper conversation: can you be in a committed relationship without living together—and should you? Donald reflects on his two-year anniversary with Nell and what it means to shift from “my life” to “our life,” from shared dinners to learning how to communicate independence without creating distance. Autumn shares where she lands: wanting someone present, but not dependent. From there, the conversation moves into two very real listener dilemmas—one about holding onto independence in a long-term relationship, and one about navigating a marriage where intimacy has changed completely. What follows is honest, nuanced, and a little uncomfortable—in the best way. 💌 Reach Out To Autumn & Donald Have something you want Autumn and Donald to talk through? 20. Everything’s Perfect…Except One Year Later from Everything's Perfect, opens in a new tab

    Apr 28, 20261 hr 2 min

It’s officially been ONE YEAR of Everything’s Perfect, and somehow, Autumn and Donald are still here… slightly more evolved, slightly more unhinged, and with a full camera roll of memories to prove it. To celebrate, they do what no one should ever do lightly: scroll back through an entire year of their lives, month by month. What starts as a fun trip down memory lane quickly turns into something deeper. Because this year? It wasn’t just highlight reels. It was breakups and big risks. New beginnings and unexpected endings. Moments they wanted to freeze… and moments they barely made it through. From dream milestones like Donald buying his Jeep and turning 40, to Autumn navigating heartbreak and still getting on a plane to Paris… this year didn’t hold back. There were Hyrox races on no fuel, family moments that hit harder than expected, trips that revealed way too much (including Donald’s deeply concerning sheet-tucking behavior), and a Thanksgiving that came with a surprise case of E. coli. And somehow, in the middle of all of it… they kept showing up. For the podcast. For themselves. For each other. This episode isn’t just about what happened. It’s about what it means to look back and realize: You survived things you didn’t think you would You grew in ways you didn’t notice at the time And the hard parts didn’t cancel out the good ones If you’ve been wondering whether your year “counts” because it didn’t go perfectly… this one’s for you. Because somewhere between the chaos and the laughter, one truth stood out: Joy isn’t something you wait for. It’s something you choose. One year down. And somehow… everything’s still not perfect. ⏱️ Key Moments 0:50 – One Year Anniversary: Did we think we’d make it? 1:53 – Starting the camera roll recap 2:28 – April: Launching the podcast + Mexico trips 7:48 – May: Donald buys his dream Jeep 9:57 – June: NYC trip + Hyrox chaos 11:42 – Donald turns 40 15:14 – July: Breakup + Paris trip 18:11 – August: Hometown visit + unexpected moments 20:04 – September: Proud parenting + milestones 25:36 – October: Costumes, merch & Nashville 28:55 – November: Aruba + the sheet situation 31:57 – Thanksgiving chaos (E. coli 😵‍💫) 35:49 – December: Christmas + Hustle Hard filming 39:05 – New Year’s reflections 43:06 – January: App launch + big life shifts 47:11 – February: Hyrox Vegas struggle 50:57 – March: New projects + momentum 52:43 – “Joy is an act of resistance” 53:02 – Favorite episodes recap 1:03:12 – Outro 💌 Got something you need help navigating?
