In the late 1950s, the Avro Arrow promised to put Canada at the forefront of aviation technology. Sleek, delta-winged, and designed to outrun the cutting edge of Cold War, it was hailed as one of the most advanced interceptors in the world. And then - almost overnight - it was cancelled. A rare interview indeed, enjoy. Dr. James Burt, Professor Emeritus notes the Avro's engine was named the Iroquois, and he had worked on the control system for the engine.
