  1. 162. What 'Protecting Your Peace' Is Actually Costing You

    Sep 16, 202628 min

In a recent encounter at a family gathering, a very specific phrase was used as an excuse for someone not being present- and it struck something deep within me. Turning the mirror inward as I often do, I find myself wondering... when is 'protecting your peace' just an excuse? And if it is an excuse, when do we begin to take responsibility for the role that we play in every area of our lives? Thus, in today's episode, we're exploring the idea of protecting your peace and the ways in which this might be a valid assessment, or perhaps- something we use when we're being lazy or lacking motivation. This exploration comes without judgement, but rather an inquisitive look at the times when we should intuitively listen to our body versus the times when we need to kick our own butts in gear. 2. 161. An Inside Look At What It's Like Living With Borderline Personality Disorder [with NJ Rodman]

    Sep 11, 20261 hr 9 min

You’ve likely heard of bipolar disorder, split personalities and more- but have you ever heard of Borderline Personality Disorder before? Well, in today’s Friday’s with Friends episode, you’re going to! In this episode I am joined by our refreshing guest, NJ, who takes us through the deep implications of what exactly this diagnosis is- and how it has radically altered her life. Together we dive into the childhood trauma she experienced before her diagnosis, the deep way in which she experiences emotion, what it’s like moving through life without an ‘identity’, and how in the last year and a half, she’s had to completely uproot her life and start again. In this vulnerable share, she talks about the moments that nearly broke her, the days when she feels like quitting, what’s keeping her going even in the darkest hours- and how she’s doing it ALL as a single mother. This episode is deep, raw, and extremely informative- and I’m sure it’ll answer every single question that you have (including the ones you didn’t even think to ask!). 4. 159. How To Hold More When You're At Capacity [with Rachele Kehler]

    Sep 4, 20261 hr 11 min

Have you ever found yourself mentally or emotionally ‘maxed out’, while also wondering how you can somehow work harder to hold more? If so, then you’re not alone- and that place? It can be an incredibly confusing one to be at! In today’s Friday’s with Friends feature, I am joined by Rachele Kehler- a women’s alignment coach who is helping to redefine what ‘holding more’ actually means, so that you can skip the burnout and go straight to the part that feels good. In this episode we’re discussing some pivotal parts of navigating life as a woman- and how to tell the difference between the moments when you need to take a break and remove things from your plate, vs when it’s time to lean in and go full throttle. Together we explore knowing when to say yes, the difference between trends vs intuitive choice, the ways that childhood wounds can either place us in victim mode or make us hyper independent- and most importantly, how to start placing yourself at the center of your own life. 5. 158. What You're Getting Wrong About Karma

    Sep 2, 202622 min

If someone has wronged you at some point in your life, chances are, you've probably wished karma upon them- and you wouldn't be alone. But what if I told you that everything you know about 'karma' was actually... wrong? The truth is that wishing somebody 'gets theirs' is only harming you and your life- and the impact of that is even worse when you say it out loud or project it onto someone else. Thus in today's episode, we're exploring exactly why this is- and why you want to be hyperaware of the language that you are using at all times. If you're ready to stop attracting bad energy in your life and finally call in the things that you desire, then this episode is for you. It's time to rewrite your understanding of karma for good. 7. 156. Stop Giving A Shit About What People Think Of You

    Aug 26, 202637 min

There used to be a time, not so long ago, when I would be terrified to open my phone and see my notifications, out of fear for what someone might have commented on my social media pages. Three years ago, in the height of the 'cancel culture' attempt of me online, I went through my worst fear- receiving hundreds of messages from people telling me what a terrible person I was. At the time, I desperately wanted to be liked, I feared negative opinions of me, and I cried at every hate-comment. I knew that my belief system needed to be rewired, and in a strange way, I also knew that this moment in time would greatly serve me in the long run. And boy was I right! Since then, I've completely rewritten this fear for myself and amazingly enough, I no longer fear negative comments or judgement. The truth is that I actually love it! I believe that true freedom lies in the discovery that no one's opinion of you matters but your own- and today we're going to talk about how to finally release the fear of that judgement for good. 8. 155. A Woman In A Man's World [with Sarah Poirier]

    Aug 21, 20261 hr 0 min

You've likely heard before that a childhood lacking something leads to an adulthood of seeking that thing- but did you know that this can also apply to masculine energy? In today's Friday's with Friends episode, our guest Sarah is walking us through this exact concept and how after years of having no safety in the masculine, she tried to create it herself. Together we explore what this overdrive mentality drove her to do- including coping with alcohol and drugs, choosing a male-dominated career in the trades that she hated, and ending up in relationships with people that weren't exactly healthy. She shares with us her journey to finding herself, distancing herself from people and environments that weren't supportive to her healing, leaving her career and stumbling into her passion, and creating a life that she is actually proud of. This episode is packed with little wisdom nuggets and was so much fun to record. If you're a woman who's struggled with finding balance in her life- then guaranteed you'll love it. So let’s dive in, shall we? _____________________ Here’s A Little About Sarah + Her Journey: Sarah is a somatic facilitator who helps women stop choosing emotionally unavailable men by healing the deep unconscious patterns that keep them stuck looping in the same relationship cycles. Rather than focusing on mindset alone, she guides women through deep nervous system and identity-level transformation so they naturally lose their attraction to unhealthy dynamics and start magnetizing relationships that are safe, reciprocal, and secure. Her work helps women become the kind of woman who knows her worth, trusts herself completely, and settles for nothing less than the love she truly desires. 9. 154. How To Step Into Your Power

    Aug 19, 202629 min

This past weekend I found myself confronted with a unexpected and terrifying realization: I've been standing at crossroads for three years, holding myself back from committing to my vision. Now in a way, I guess you could say this is natural. As human beings, we often allow the consequences of growth to hold us back from our goals because it feels too scary or too hard. But can you imagine for a moment if we just went all in? If we committed, took responsibility and did the dam work- regardless of the excuses we are tempted to use? I think some pretty incredible things might happen... and today, we're going to talk about it! Therefore in this episode we are discussing what it looks like when you say you want something but are holding yourself back from it, the consequences of actually going for it, and how to fully step into your power so that you can get everything you want. 10. 153. The Darker Side Of Being A Military Spouse [with Jalena Tesanovich]

    Aug 14, 20261 hr 3 min

Imagine hugging your loved one good-bye as they walk out of the door... wondering if it will be the last time. Sound devastating? Well, for our Friday's with Friends guest this is a reality she faces every single day- just like all the other military spouses out there. In this episode, Jalena walks us through the side of this lifestyle that nobody sees, and all the sacrifices that are required to be made. She shares with us the hardships, the blessings, the things that you'd never even think about- and why this life shouldn't be as glorified as it is. Listen as she shares about the first time her husband was ever deployed, what it's like bouncing from home to home, and even the moment that she was held at gun point by military police. This episode is wild, jaw-dropping, and definitely makes you appreciate everything that active duty personnel and their families have to go through. So with that being said, let’s dive in, shall we? _____________________ Here’s A Little About Jalena + Her Journey: Jalena is a nationally board-certified, trauma-trained somatic health coach who helps high-achieving women move out of survival mode and into true freedom. 11. 152. The Truth About Quantum Leaps

    Aug 12, 202630 min

You've heard about a quantum leap... but what about a quantum fall? Recently the Lionsgate Portal and all the 'rituals' I've seen popping up online has struck a cord within me- and I'm frustrated by the amount of misinformation out there regarding practices like this. I think a lot of us have been conditioned to believe that the woo-woo stuff is just easy and magical- and if it's not, 'something must be wrong'. But the truth is that quantum leaps (just like anything in life) are not an exception to the law of polarity, and before the leap (or sometimes smack dab in the middle of it), we must experience a fall. I know for years this principle held me back and prevented me from understanding manifestation and identity growth because I had it all wrong- and I don't want the same for you. So today, we're going to talk about exactly what a quantum leap is, why it involves a quantum fall, what this means if it is showing up in your reality- and how to both create AND navigate these sudden changes when they occur. 12. 151. The Identity Death Of The Good Girl [with Brianna Rose]

    Aug 7, 20261 hr 4 min

Have you ever heard the quote "healing makes you nicer" and wondered if that was actually true? Well, if you have, you're not alone- and today we're going to talk about it. In this Friday's with Friends episode, I am joined by guest Brianna Rose, who has more than a few things to say on this heavily misguided perspective. She shares with us the truth of healing and how it doesn't make you nicer- it actually makes you more authentic. She discusses what it means to show up fully in your power, still having kindness as a baseline- but without over-giving or sacrificing parts of yourself to get there. Together we explore the ways that we've been conditioned to hold a 'good girl' persona, the negative impacts that this can have in our lives (and for other people), and why releasing this is crucial for your growth and manifestations. If you've ever recognized people-pleasing tendencies within yourself, wondered how to say no or put in stronger boundaries, or just wished that you could show up as who you truly are- then this is the episode for you. Let’s dive in, shall we? _____________________ Here’s A Little About Brianna + Her Journey: Brianna Rose is the founder of the Light Leader® movement and the creator of a pioneering somatic institute for women in business. 13. 150. What Is Your 'Highest Self'?

    Aug 5, 202624 min

In manifestation, or even just in healing, we refer a lot to the 'highest self' and the desire to step into and embody that version of us- but have you ever stopped to think about what exactly your highest self is, and what embodiment even means? The truth is that we often associate our 'highest self' with an achievement- dollars in the bank, the perfect waist size, a hot relationship or career- like it's some box to check. However, the problem with this idea is that until we actually achieve that goal- stepping into the shoes of our highest self is quite frankly, out of reach. So here's the thing: our highest self? It's not about what we do- but rather, about WHO we are. And that distinction is precisely what enables us to lean into and embody that version of us, so that we can actually achieve the things that we desire. And today, we're gonna talk about it. 14. 149. Taking Your Power Back After 50 [with Valerie Maksym]

    Jul 31, 20261 hr 4 min

Have you ever went through something that was so traumatic it completely altered who you were and how you were showing up in your life- only you didn't realize until much later and by then you thought, 'maybe it's too late for me?'. Well if so, you're not alone- and we're gonna talk about it! Our Friday's with Friends Guest, Valerie Maksym, shares what it was like for her as a child to witness her dad become sick and pass away- and then to be faced with an unstable childhood including violence later on. She discusses what growing up without safety felt and looked like- and how as a result, she sought relationships of her own that offered a false sense of protection, that later led to violence of their own. Together we explore the ways in which traumatic moments like this can stick with us, lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms and behavioral patterns- and how sometimes we might not realize that there is work to be done until much later in life. Thus, if you've been feeling like you've missed your opportunity, that too much time has passed, or that you're 'too far gone' for healing to make a difference... then this is the episode for you. 16. 147. The Psychological Impacts Of The Diet Industry [with Kelly Greenslade]

    Jul 24, 202659 min

The way in which we've been taught to view our bodies has been heavily influenced by media sources since we were just children. But what if we told you that it actually goes much deeper than that? Today our Friday's with Friends guest, Kelly Greenslade, is here to walk us through exactly what this looks like and why it's such a problem still today. Together we explore the toxicity behind 'diet culture' and the lifelong psychological impacts it can have on us as a result. She shares with us some of the things about this world that frustrate her the most- and more importantly, what we can actually do about it. This conversation is direct, bold, and full of passion- and I guarantee that you don't want to miss a minute of it. If you're someone who has struggled with loving their body or trying to hate your way to change- then this is the episode for you. Let’s dive in, shall we? _____________________ Here’s A Little About Kelly + Her Journey: Kelly Greenslade is the founder of KG Performance, a high-standard coaching brand built on the belief that health should support your life, not consume it. Before becoming a world-level physique athlete and coach, Kelly spent years in silent burnout and depression, feeling disconnected from herself while holding everything together for everyone else. A family holiday in the snow became her wake-up call, the moment she realized she wasn’t truly living, just surviving. That moment sparked a complete personal rebuild. Through years of unlearning diet culture, healing her relationship with food, and shifting from punishment-based fitness to athlete-level structure, Kelly transformed not just her body, but her mental health, confidence, and identity. Her journey ultimately led her to the world stage, earning a WNBF World #3 Fitbody placing, proof that precision, not punishment, creates real change. Today, Kelly coaches ambitious humans who are done with quick fixes, scale obsession, and burnout cycles. Her work is centred on breaking the BS around health and fitness, helping people rebuild trust with food, train with intention, and raise their personal minimum standards, so they stop starting over and start living differently. Kelly is known for her honest, science-backed approach, direct coaching style, and deep understanding of the mental and emotional side of transformation. 17. 146. Get To The Root Of All Your Problems

    Jul 22, 202630 min

Whenever we are facing a problem in our lives, our brain goes to the most logical 'cause' as the reason it's showing up. Problems in the relationship? The relationship must be to blame. Problems at work? Work or your boss must be to blame. Problems with your health? Your body must be to blame. This seems like it makes sense- and maybe in some cases, it does. But typically? It's a 'symptom' of the problem and not actually the root cause. Thus in today's episode we are exploring the difference between these two things, and how to actually get to the source of the problems you are facing in your life. We discuss the ways in which this can show up, how we can get distracted by 'false' causations, and why getting to the root is the secret to getting everything you want in life. Best part is? I'm even sharing some pretty eye-opening ways that this has been showing up in my life over the last couple of weeks- and you're gonna want to hear this. 18. 145. Third Time's The Charm [with Christy Holt]

    Jul 17, 20261 hr 8 min

Have you ever attracted the same person or same relationship again and again, wondering why you just can’t seem to break the cycle and find the person you actually want? Well, our guest today certainly has- and she’s about to share it all with us. Christy Holt, otherwise known as the Happiness Hussy, went through two extreme divorces and found herself struggling to define what she truly wanted in a relationship and a partner. To make matters worse, one day after receiving a blunt response from a close friend, she suddenly came to the realization that SHE in fact was the common denominator in all her problems- and the only way she was going to break free was by changing the relationship with herself. In today’s episode we’re exploring what she had to do to heal, get out of her own way, and ultimately- find true love in her third attempt. And it’s not exactly what you think ;) So let’s dive in, shall we? _____________________ Here’s A Little About Christy + Her Journey: Christy Holt—also known as The Happiness Hussy—is a writer, speaker, and podcast host who explores what happens when people stop chasing happiness and start returning to themselves. After two divorces and years spent on the healing hamster wheel, Christy realized she was never broken—just disconnected. The answers she was searching for were already within her, buried under conditioning, people-pleasing, and the belief that she needed to be fixed. That realization reshaped both her life and her work. 19. 144. Demand More From Your Relationships

    Jul 15, 202626 min

Why, when it comes to relationships, are we so hesitant to say that we want to get something out of them? Why do we bite our tongues and pretend like we are okay with giving more than we are getting? In today's episode, I'm sharing a totally unhinged and unorthodox opinion that I hold in the area of relationships (and every area of my life)- which is that I expect to get before I give. Together in this conversation we explore what it means to hold this standard or vibration in our lives- and how it ultimately attracts the most supportive, loyal and loving people to us. I share some recent revelations I've uncovered in my own life, why I believe wholeheartedly that it is a privilege to be in my life, and how this one single belief can ultimately shift everything for you. If you're constantly pouring into the cups of others, giving more than you're getting, feeling frustrated that you can't attract or hold onto relationships that make you feel good, or are simply wanting to feel more fulfilled in this area- then this is the episode for you. Let’s dive in, shall we? __________________________ Series Mentioned Welcome To Your Weekly LOVE NOTES __________________________ EXTRAS + SOCIALS * JOIN THE MEMBERSHIP HERE * Enjoyed this episode + want to send some love? Jul 10, 20261 hr 4 min

Imagine working a job for nearly two decades, only to be fired randomly at the end of your shift with no explanation why. Suddenly your income stream has disappeared overnight- and you’re left in a state of confusion as a huge part of your identity is stripped away. What do you do? How do you move forward, find stability and recreate safety for yourself? Well our Friday’s with Friends guest has all of these answers and more. Sherry Andrew was fired from her job of 17 years, and thrust into a state of employment where she had to learn to manage her household’s finances in a completely different way. In our conversation today she explores what happens when your safety is linked to something outside of yourself, and the dangers we can create when our job (or business) is wrapped up in our identity. She walks us through the importance of financial awareness, how to set yourself up for success before any emergencies happen- and how to ultimately take calculated risks or leaps of faith to align your career with your life. This episode is packed with wisdom and is for anyone looking to improve their financial health. Let’s dive in, shall we? _____________________ Here’s A Little About Sherry + Her Journey: After being fired from a nearly 17-year career, Sherry took a leap of faith to pursue her passion for personal finance and launched Money Mindset Financial Coaching in 2018. After her job loss, she discovered her love for personal finance by learning everything she could to improve her household finances. Now, she helps others make significant shifts with their money. After learning that she has ADHD, she pivoted her business focus to assist individuals and entrepreneurs with ADHD in gaining confidence and clarity with their finances by building and implementing systems that simplify their lives. She enjoys working with ADHD entrepreneurs because the added complexity of self-employment presents extra challenges, while also providing greater opportunities for increased income! Her clients save, pay off debt, and achieve their financial goals while still living their lives! She believes that the path to your financial goals doesn’t include a restrictive budget, but comes by focusing on what is important to you and building systems that align with how your brain works! She is an Accredited Financial Counsellor Canada® and a Certified Professional Financial Coach™ who helps clients feel confident about managing their money.
