Welcome to ’Making Life Beautiful Again,’ the podcast designed for midlife women ready to take control, rediscover their spark, and reignite their passion for life. Here, you’ll find the guidance and encouragement you need to navigate this unique season with confidence and grace. Hey, I’m Michelle. An empty-nester, grandma, and Jesus lover. I know firsthand what it feels like to wrestle with self-doubt and the inner critic during midlife. It’s like being caught in a storm where your mind, body, and spirit are all in flux. I tried every beauty trick in the book, hoping to feel better, but the mirror kept reflecting my fears: ’Am I still beautiful? Do I still have a purpose?’ Then one day, I had a breakthrough. If I’m created in the image of Christ, how could I ever see myself as anything less than worthy and beautiful? Those negative thoughts were lies, diminishing the incredible woman God designed me to be. The truth is, our bodies and lives change, and so should our self-care routines. I’m here to help you embrace this new chapter with grace and confidence. If you’re ready to find a simple, effective plan tailored for midlife women… If you want solutions that fit seamlessly into your life, bringing you more energy, helping you shed those extra pounds, lifting your mood, and improving your sleep – this podcast is for you! 1. 101 | Why You Don't Feel Like Yourself Anymore After 40 from Making Life Beautiful Again | Health and Beauty for Midlife Women, opens in a new tab

    Sep 2, 202622 min

Have you ever looked at an old photo of yourself and thought, “There she is”? Maybe you assumed you were missing your younger face, your old body, or the woman you were before midlife changed so much. But what if you’re actually missing something deeper? In this special Episode 101, I’m opening Crowned in Beauty for our very first book tasting and sharing part of Chapter One, “Do You Remember the Last Time You Twirled?” We’re talking about the little girl who enjoyed being herself before beauty became something she evaluated, compared, fixed, or questioned. In this episode, you’ll hear: why looking at your younger self can stir up more than nostalgia what we may really mean when we say, “I don’t feel like myself anymore” why feeling like yourself again doesn’t mean becoming your younger self again what Hadassah, before she became Queen Esther, can teach us about identity and becoming one simple question that can help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that still belong in this season Here’s the question I want you to carry with you: What did you know about yourself before you learned to question it? 2. 100 | What Are You Tuning Into? Frequencies, Stress + Your Face After 40 from Making Life Beautiful Again | Health and Beauty for Midlife Women, opens in a new tab

    Aug 27, 202619 min

Hello beautiful! Have you ever noticed how one conversation can leave you feeling peaceful while another has your jaw clenched and your shoulders up around your ears? Or how a certain song, scent, room, person, or even the thoughts running through your own mind can completely change how you feel? In this episode, we’re talking about everyday frequencies and the inputs your mind, body, and spirit are responding to all day long. And yes, we’re going to talk about David and Saul. Long before we had words like emotional regulation, Scripture gives us this fascinating picture of David playing his harp and Saul experiencing relief. It raises an interesting question: What are we tuning into, and how might it be affecting the way we feel and even the way we carry our face and body? We’ll talk about: What I mean when I use the word “frequency” The surprising ways frequency and sensory input show up in everyday life How sound, words, people, color, scent, thoughts, and our surroundings can affect us Why stress and emotional tension often show up in the jaw, brow, breathing, posture, and facial expression The David and Saul story and what music can teach us about the way we respond to our environment Why the most important question may be less about what you need to tune out and more about Who you are tuning into first Because you can spend all day trying to control every input around you, or you can build your day on a stronger foundation. For me, that foundation is Papa God. Psalm 3:3 calls Him the One who lifts my head, and that has become an important part of how I think about beauty, face exercise, emotional regulation, and the way we care for ourselves as Christian women. Ready to practice this with me? I’ve brought these ideas together in my 12-Minute Non-Surgical Facelift for Women Over 40, combining face exercise with Scripture, intentional thought, breathing, emotional regulation, and supportive sensory inputs. It’s designed for the woman who wants to care for her face and spend intentional time with God without adding another long routine to an already-full day. You can purchase the course and continue practicing with me inside the membership for $12/month. https://makinglifebeautifulagain.com/12-minute-facelift-690560 Because before we worry about lifting everything we see in the mirror, we can tune into the One who lifts our heads. Aug 19, 202619 min

Hello beautiful! Noticing jowls, a softer jawline, turkey neck, or more tension around your mouth and neck? Before adding another face exercise, jaw exerciser, or “mewing” technique, there may be something much simpler you need to look at first: posture. In this episode, Michelle shares the jawline mistakes she made when she first noticed her own neck changing, including the jaw-strengthening gadget that actually left her hurting. You’ll discover how body posture, tongue position, jaw clenching, sleep posture, and everyday tension may influence how your lower face looks and feels, plus why Michelle always works on posture before face exercise. You’ll also learn one simple way to start noticing your own tension patterns today, especially if you’ve been concerned about jowls, facial asymmetry, TMJ symptoms, a sagging jawline, or neck changes in midlife. 5. 97 | Summer Skincare S.O.S. for Women Over 40 from Making Life Beautiful Again | Health and Beauty for Midlife Women, opens in a new tab

    Aug 12, 202620 min

Hello beautiful! Does your skin feel sweaty and oily outside, then dry and tight the minute you step into air-conditioning? Summer can make your skin feel like it has no idea what it wants. Add sun, wind, chlorine, extra sweating, and the temptation to wash your face every five minutes, and suddenly your usual summer skincare routine is not working the way it did a few months ago. I know how frustrating that can be, especially when your skin is breaking out and feeling irritated at the same time. In this episode, I’m sharing my simple Summer Skin S.O.S. framework to help you figure out what your skin is actually responding to before you start adding more products. We’ll talk about the mixed signals mature skin can send in the summer, the habits that can quietly make dryness and irritation worse, and how to simplify your morning and evening routine so your skin can settle down. And I’m saving one of my favorite practical tips for the end: how I handle sweaty summer skin without washing my face every thirty minutes. You can also grab the Summer Skin S.O.S. worksheet inside the Making Life Beautiful Again Facebook group. It will help you decide what to continue, reduce, pause, or simplify this week. Aug 6, 202622 min

Hello beautiful! Have you ever thought you had forgiven someone, only to feel the hurt rush back when something touched that old wound? Forgiveness is rarely a one-time event. Sometimes we forgive what happened, then later realize we are still carrying the criticism, rejection, lost years, or painful beliefs the experience left behind. In this episode, we are talking about how to forgive someone who hurt you, recognize when an old wound is affecting your emotions today, and stop allowing another person’s actions to shape your identity. You may have hated the lesson, but you might be surprised by the woman God has been forming through it. Sometimes our breakthrough toward the beautiful life we want to live comes through the breaking. When we allow the Lord to heal those places, we can emerge stronger, wiser, and more certain of who we are. Jul 10, 202619 min

Hello Beautiful! Have you looked up and thought, “How is this year already halfway over?” Maybe you had goals in January that felt exciting, clear, and possible. You were going to take better care of your body, finally start the thing, finish the thing, show up with more confidence, or stop putting off the dream that keeps tugging at you. But now life has taken a different pace than you expected, and those goals feel blurry. In this episode, we are doing a different kind of midyear reset. Not the usual checklist, planner page, or “get your life together” pep talk. This conversation is for the midlife woman who feels a little behind, a little disappointed, or unsure what still matters for the rest of the year. You’ll learn how to look at your goals from the end in mind, ask what still belongs in this season, and reconnect with the woman you are becoming. 10. 92 | What Does God Say About Beauty? Why Christian Women Need to Stop Calling It Vanity from Making Life Beautiful Again | Health and Beauty for Midlife Women, opens in a new tab

    Jul 1, 202626 min

Hello Beautiful! Have you ever wondered if caring about beauty makes you vain? A lot of Christian women were taught plenty about modesty, but very little about how to steward beauty in a healthy, biblical way. So we end up with a complicated relationship with the mirror. We want to look nice, but worry someone will judge us. We want to feel confident, but wonder if confidence will be misunderstood as pride. In this episode, we’re asking a question many women quietly carry: What does God actually say about beauty? This conversation is for the woman who has deflected compliments, avoided pictures, judged herself harshly in the mirror, or felt guilty for wanting to feel beautiful again. If you have ever wondered whether beauty belongs in the life of a woman who loves God, this episode will help you see beauty through a more biblical, grace-filled lens. We’ll talk about why beauty is not the same thing as vanity, how God created beauty, how good things can become twisted, and why your beauty was meant to shine rather than perform. And if this episode makes you think of another woman, share it with her. Let this episode be an invitation for both of you to stop arguing with what God made. Next week, we’re doing a Q3 Refresh and talking about simple strategies for living your beautiful life in the second half of 2026 with more intention, courage and joy. 11. 91 | Stuck in Survival Mode? How God Uses Stillness to Heal You | Stacy Jagger from Making Life Beautiful Again | Health and Beauty for Midlife Women, opens in a new tab

    Jun 26, 202631 min

Hello Beautiful! Have you ever finally gotten a few minutes to yourself, only to realize you do not know what to do with the quiet? You thought you would pray. Take a walk. Read. Work on the project. Follow through on the thing God has been nudging you toward. But then you pick up your phone to check one thing, and before you know it, the day has moved on and the thing you really wanted to do is still sitting there. In this episode of Making Life Beautiful Again, Michelle Rose sits down with Stacy Jagger, author of 30 Day Blackout, to talk about burnout, screen time, emotional regulation, and what it looks like to become present again in midlife. This conversation is especially meaningful because Stacy was Michelle’s counselor during one of the hardest seasons of her life, when she was on the cusp of empty nest and learning how to find beauty in the ashes. God used Stacy’s work in a powerful way during Michelle’s healing journey, and now this conversation opens the door for other Christian midlife women who are navigating burnout, distraction, transition, and the question, “What now, Lord?” Although 30 Day Blackout was written for families, the principles inside the book speak to women too, especially those who have spent years caring for everyone else and now find themselves craving quiet but struggling to settle into it. If you are a Christian woman over 40 who feels distracted, overstimulated, or unsure how to step into your next season with peace and purpose, this episode will help you begin paying attention to what the noise may be costing you and how God may be inviting you back into presence. But underneath the celebration, there may be an unexpected grief… and a quiet question you haven’t wanted to say out loud: What’s next for me? This is not typical parenting advice or parenting tips for raising kids. This is empty nest encouragement for the Christian mom who has spent years showing up for everyone else and now wonders where she fits in this next season. We’ll talk about motherhood grief, kids growing up, changing family dynamics, and how to let God meet you in the quiet instead of rushing to stay busy. Because when you feel invisible, unsure, or forgotten… God still sees you. Apr 22, 202617 min

Hello Beautiful! Ever feel like you’re always starting over… no matter how hard you try to stay consistent? You try a new routine, you get motivated, you tell yourself this time will be different… and then something shifts, you fall off, and you’re right back where you started. It’s frustrating and if you’re honest, it starts to feel personal. But what if the problem isn’t your discipline? What if it’s something happening in those small, everyday moments you don’t even think about—like what you say to yourself when you look in the mirror? In this episode, we’re talking about the shift from self-criticism to compassion and how that one change can completely impact your consistency, your habits, and the way you show up for yourself. This episode is for the woman who: is tired of starting over feels like nothing is sticking anymore doesn’t feel like herself in her body right now and is ready for a different approach that actually works By the end of this episode, you’ll understand: why self-criticism has been keeping you stuck what’s really happening in that quick “mirror moment” how your thoughts are shaping your habits more than you realize and one simple shift you can use immediately to start breaking the cycle I also created a simple worksheet to help you walk this out in real time. 18. 84 | Losing Fat After 40 Without Losing Muscle, Metabolism, or Your Glow from Making Life Beautiful Again | Health and Beauty for Midlife Women, opens in a new tab

    Apr 15, 202615 min

Hello Beautiful! Have you ever lost weight… but didn’t actually feel better? Maybe your energy dropped… your strength felt off… or your body just didn’t respond the way it used to. If you’re in midlife, there’s a reason for that. In this episode, we’re shifting the conversation around weight loss—because not all weight loss is a win. Many women are unknowingly: losing muscle instead of fat slowing their metabolism and training their body to hold onto fat Even while doing everything “right.” And that’s where the frustration comes in. 💛 In This Episode, You’ll Learn: Why weight loss after 40 feels harder (and what’s actually happening in your body) The difference between fat loss, muscle loss, and water weight How your body can get stuck in “conservation mode” and resist fat loss Why building muscle is essential for energy, metabolism, and longevity How your food choices provide the building blocks for strength, skin, and vitality Simple, realistic ways to support your body through nutrition and movement This episode isn’t about eating less or pushing harder. It’s about learning what to gain so your body can finally let go of what it doesn’t need. Because when your body feels supported… fat loss becomes a result—not a constant struggle.
