The Dodgers are HOT and we are loving every second of it. 🔥💙 Seven straight wins, the offense has officially come alive, and the vibes are finally feeling VERY October. This week, we’re joined by Dodger Stadium host and reporter Elisa Hernandez!Elisa takes us behind the scenes of her journey to Dodger Stadium — from becoming a field producer to getting the opportunity to step in front of the camera as an on-field host. We talk about what this job means to her, working in football vs. baseball, what’s still on her Dodgers bucket list this season, and all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into producing a show and working a game at Dodger Stadium. We see what happens on the field, but Elisa gives us a look at everything it takes to make the magic happen behind the scenes — and why working for the Dodgers is so much more than just a job.Come hang with the girls as we talk Dodgers, seven straight wins, dream outcomes for the season, and, of course, why it’s always more than baseball. 💙⚾️Follow @TalkDodgersToMe on Instagram & TikTok and subscribe on YouTube, Apple Podcasts & Spotify for new episodes every week!
It’s a birthday episode! Jaclyn and I are celebrating my birthday with the sweetest special delivery from Happiness Is Blooming — flower bouquets, but make it a milkshake. 💐🥤 Seriously, could they be any cuter?Of course, the Dodgers didn’t exactly bring me the birthday present I was hoping for. We’re talking about an embarrassing Game 1 loss to the Cardinals and the offensive struggles that continue to leave us asking: where are the bats?!But you know us — we’re going to find the positive. October is what matters, and we’re choosing to believe that when postseason baseball arrives, our Dodgers will bring that locked-in energy we know they’re capable of. We’re also talking about our latest Movie of the Week: Bull Durham! If you want even more Bull Durham, go back and listen to Episode 7, where I interviewed the film’s writer and director, Ron Shelton.Next up: A League of Their Own 🎬⚾️ — unless you guys have another baseball movie you think we NEED to watch. Drop your suggestions in the comments! And if you want your own flower bouquet with a little extra personality, check out Happiness Is Blooming on Instagram: @happiness_isblooming 💐✨Thanks for celebrating with us, and as always… Go Dodgers! 💙🎧 Subscribe to Talk Dodgers to Me on YouTube, Spotify & Apple Podcasts so you never miss an episode.
We’re kicking off this week’s episode with a recap of Game 1 of the Dodgers-Braves series, breaking down what we saw, what stood out, and where the Dodgers go from here. Oh, and how much we enjoyed Clayton Kershaw in the broadcast booth! Then, we’re joined by someone we’ve loved watching shine at Dodger Stadium: on-air personality, radio host, and Dodger Stadium host Natalia Perez! Natalia truly couldn’t have been kinder to spend some time with us, and after seeing her bring so much energy and personality to the field, we were so excited to finally get to know more about the woman behind the mic. We talk about her journey in radio and sports, her love of connecting with people, what it’s like being part of the experience at Dodger Stadium, and so much more. This conversation is exactly what Talk Dodgers to Me is all about, because it’s always more than baseball. 💙 Follow Natalia: @heynatalia
If you listened to Talk Dodgers to Me during the Shohei Ohtani and Ippei Mizuhara story, or recently, you know Melissa was obsessed. So when the 30 for 30 podcast series came out, she became equally fascinated by the person working to uncover the truth: ESPN investigative reporter Tisha Thompson. So naturally, we had to have her on the podcast.Tisha joins Talk Dodgers to Me for a conversation that goes far beyond the headlines, taking us behind the scenes of investigative journalism and her reporting on the Shohei Ohtani and Ippei Mizuhara story — including what it takes to verify information when the entire sports world is waiting for answers, the responsibility that comes with reporting on one of the biggest athletes in the world, and what she learned through the investigation. We also talk about Shohei on the other side of the story and the relationship between truth and power. Plus, Tisha opens up about what led her to sports journalism and why getting the story *right* matters more than getting it first. We really couldn’t have loved talking to Tisha any more! This was a conversation we’ve wanted to have for a long time, and it reminded us once again why it’s always more than baseball. 💙⚾ Subscribe for more Dodgers conversations, stories and interviews.
This week, it’s a Dodgers podcast crossover! We’re joined by Jake Reiner and Kevin Klein of The Incline to talk all things Dodgers — how their podcast came to be, how they’re feeling about the state of the team right now, what they want to see heading into October, and who they think the Dodgers could be facing in the World Series. But as so often happens on Talk Dodgers to Me, the conversation became about something much bigger than baseball.Jake opened up about the recent loss of both of his parents, how he’s navigating grief, and the role baseball has played in helping him through an incredibly difficult time. We’re so grateful to Jake for trusting us with such a personal part of his story and for being willing to share where he is right now.Because yes, we can talk Dodgers all day — but it’s always more than baseball. 💙 Make sure to check out Kevin & Jake's podcast @theinclinedodgers
Olympic silver medalist Alex Walsh joins us for a conversation about what it really takes to compete at the highest level. Alex shares how she got into swimming, what it’s like competing alongside her sister Gretchen Walsh, her experience at the Olympics, and what she’s looking forward to on the road to LA 2028. We also dive into the mindset behind being an elite athlete — from positive self-talk and handling pressure to navigating the inevitable highs and lows of competition. Alex shares what it means to her to be a woman in sports right now and to be part of a generation helping push women’s sports forward. And now that she calls Los Angeles home, we had to talk Dodgers! With the team going through a tough stretch, Alex’s perspective on resilience, trusting yourself, and moving forward feels especially fitting. This week on Talk Dodgers to Me, we’re celebrating what makes this Dodgers team so special: everyone is ready when their moment arrives. From stars to role players, this team has embraced a “next man up” mentality, and we had to show some love to players like Justin Wrobleski and Max Muncy, who continue to step up and understand exactly what their role is in helping this team win. We also talk about how the Dodgers’ biggest stars consistently make it about the team, not themselves—and that’s exactly why they deserve some extra love from us. But as always, it’s about more than baseball. From the Dodgers depth to World Cup fever and the excitement surrounding the NBA Finals, we’re reminded of the magic of sports and the way they bring people together. Whether it’s Dodger Stadium, New York, or cities around the world, there’s something special about sharing these moments and feeling connected through the games we love.
This week, we sit down with best friends Laura Galvan and Marnie Wekselblatt, who turned their love of Rummikub into a thriving, community-driven brand that's bringing people together in a fresh, elevated way. As someone who grew up playing Rummikub with my Nana, this conversation felt especially meaningful. From the moment I discovered what they were building, I knew we had to have them on the podcast. What started as a conversation about a game quickly became a conversation about friendship, entrepreneurship, taking chances, and finding purpose through the things that bring people joy. While it may seem like a departure from baseball, we quickly realized it's actually the same story we tell every week: sports and games have a unique way of creating connection. Whether it's gathering around a card table, a Rummikub board, or a baseball diamond, the real magic happens when people come together. From entrepreneurship and brand-building to partnerships and community, we explore how Laura and Marnie transformed their love of Rummikub into a must-attend event series with a growing waitlist and a loyal following. Their story is proof that when you create spaces for people to connect, something much bigger than the game can happen. Make sure to give them a follow, grab your own Rummikub set, and stay tuned for future events!
This week on Talk Dodgers to Me, we're talking about another incredible stretch of Dodger baseball as Shohei Ohtani continues to do things we've never seen before. From his dominance pitching and hitting to the impact he has on the game, we're running out of words to describe what we're witnessing. We're also diving into the story behind Andy Pages and the journey that brought him to the big leagues, proving once again that every player has a story worth telling. Beyond the game itself, we reflect on an inspiring week at Dodger Stadium surrounded by incredible women in sports. From the Blue Heaven & Bourbon event hosted by the Dodgers Foundation, to the Women in Sports Conference, we connected with trailblazers across the entertainment and sports industry. Again, we're reminded how many different paths exist within the sports world and why representation matters. Most importantly, we're sharing what it meant to meet so many of our listeners throughout the week. The love, support, and stories you've shared with us continue to remind us that Talk Dodgers to Me has become something much bigger than we ever imagined. As we reflect on the growth of the podcast, we're feeling incredibly grateful for this community we've built. Because as always, it's more than baseball. 💙
Shohei Ohtani made history AGAIN... and we're officially out of words! This week, the Dodgers completed a sweep of the Rockies, but not without some challenges. Kiké Hernández returned for just two days before landing back on the IL, Teoscar Hernández left a game with a hamstring injury, and the Dodgers once again had to call up players they had just sent down. But through all of it, one player continues to leave us speechless. Shohei Ohtani put together another historic performance, and for the third time in his career started a game on the mound and hit a leadoff home run, oh and pitching 6 hitless innings. At this point, we're running out of ways to describe what we're watching. We talk about Shohei's latest masterpiece, the resilience of this Dodgers team, the revolving door of injuries, and why this group continues to find ways to win despite every obstacle thrown their way. Plus, as always, a few laughs, some funny stories of dates gone wrong at Dodger Stadium, and why we love the way our Dodgers organization instills confidence in our players. 💙 Subscribe for new episodes every week. ⚾ Follow us: @TalkDodgersToMe 🎧 Available wherever you get your podcasts

The Dodgers are turning things around and we are SO here for it. This week, we’re talking about our team finding their rhythm again, what’s clicking, and why this stretch feels like the Dodgers we know and trust! And of course, we had to spend a lot of time talking Shohei Ohtani because HOW do you not? After working through one of the toughest offensive stretches of his career, Shohei has come roaring back — getting hits, driving guys in, and once again making history by matching his own unbelievable feat: hitting a first-pitch home run and then going on to throw five shutout innings. We also share a really special life moment as our moms met for the first time and instantly bonded, just like we did when we first met. It’s been so special watching our friendship grow into family and seeing the people who raised us become part of that story too.We talk trust, slumps, resilience, baseball, life, and the moments that remind us why it’s always more than baseball. Because if baseball teaches us anything, it’s that slumps don’t last forever.
The Dodgers may be going through a rough stretch, but we’re choosing trust over panic this week. In this episode, we open up about fear, confidence, and how pushing through uncomfortable moments is often what leads to growth, both in life and as fans sticking by our team.We also talk Ice Cube Bobblehead Night, the cultural crossover between hip-hop, sports, and fashion, and why the influence of artists like Ice Cube and N.W.A. changed sports culture forever. From baseball to mindset to culture, this one is truly about more than baseball.
