Paul and Keegs also dissect all the action from a phenomenal Saturday of Preliminary Finals. Their guest is none other than Colac Imperials senior football (and recently announced CDFNL Team Of The Year) captain, Luke O’Shannassy. They take a deep dive into Luke’s career, preparing for the upcoming Grand Final on Saturday, and some of his favourite team mates and character at the Imperials. This week the pod begins with Paul and Keegs reviewing and dissecting Jock Brady’s CDFNL Netball Team of the Year. They also discuss all the results of a massive second week of finals in both CDFNL football and netball. And for some reason before all this, Paul starts talking about full back waxes and Ireland. The boys also have a very special guest interview subject in Colin Bayne from the now defunct Warrion Football Club. Colin takes us on quite the trip down memory lane, from his beginnings playing in the 1950s and 60s, stints as coach and club president, and eventually into the sad story of the club going into recess and eventually folding. His memory and recall is as sharp as a tack - even at 88 years of age! It’s finals time! This week’s episode starts with Paul praising the perks he experienced during his first finals experience in the commentary box. Of course he gets sidetracked, taking a trip down memory lane with tales of how an old mate of his acquired his nickname and a memory from a junior footy trip from about 30 years ago.
