  16. Dramatic last ball decider in clash of the O65s Table Toppers

    Jun 19, 202634 min

It was round 3 of the regional O65s competition with the two unbeaten teams - the Northern Superchargers and the South West Falcons meeting at Thurgarton near Nottingham - the visitors won on the last ball In terms of O60s Div 1 the big shock was Berkshire beating Essex to record their first win of the season Three teams retain 100% records in O60s Div 2, with four teams unbeaten in Division 3. In the O70s Div 1 five teams are on 100% with 3 teams still looking for that elusive first win of the season Full results here Please do share, review and rate the podcast - that helps others find it If you've got feedback or observations about the podcast or ideas for future guests Send us Fan Mail - you can send your message by text or voicemail or email us via podcast@trevorjlee.com Thanks very much. 17. Have we had a catching record this week?

    Jun 12, 202623 min

Cricket is always ready to create records no matter what age you are and how long you've been playing. England O70s opener Chris Evans proved that this week when after dropping a catch at slip in the first over of the match v Kent he stayed in situ and remarkably then took six catches at slip as Kent were dismissed for 105 with the other four wickets all being catches as well. Has either happened before in 60s/70s cricket? Here’s a link to the scorecard. Meanwhile up North Nick Gaywood plundered 161 not out and over in Essex Mel Hussain made an unbeaten 133. Six teams retain 100% records in O60s Div 2, with 5 teams unbeaten in Division 3. Only match took place across Division 4 and 5. With recent Thursday’s missing the rain and extreme heat the tables turned this week with the O70s programme completely wiped out. 18. Epic finishes to O60s 1st XI matches despite the Rain!

    Jun 8, 202617 min

Just 13 matches across the entire over 60s and over 70s eight divisions were played to a finish – unbelievable given that this was the first week in June. But nevertheless of the five matches that were completed in the over 60s first division three were epic finishes which we talk about in a little bit of detail. I also touch upon the Test match at Lords – what is going on there? And I say thanks to Nigel Harrington and Alan Hocking who recently umpired and scored respectively their 100th match for Cornwall Seniors – do you have officials who have reached such a landmark and deserve a shout out on this podcast?
