  5. EP4: Village Cricket, The Future of Test Cricket, Who Got The Bonus Cash for the 6's, Lee Leaves? from Wickets, opens in a new tab

    Aug 8, 202333 min

Uncle Stu (for this week), Shane, and Sharpy are back to move around the crease for 4 mins a rant. With the Ashes over, the boys turn their attention to village cricket, but can't help but reflect on the series. 4 years from now, the team reflect on the fact that nearly everyone is going to be... too old for another series. So with that, the guys debate the future of Test Cricket. 4 day test matches? Not our our watch. Remember the old days of when one of the insurance companies was giving away cash for hitting the sign in the domestic one day series. Who got the cash? Did Shane bid to send everyone to Hawaii? Did Warney and Stu collude on a million dollar hit? Around the grounds, or around the world in 4 mins with Sharpy. Shane, 50 not out, retired early and walked out early for his birthday.

Sharpy takes us around the cricketing world in 240 seconds and we discuss the ball change non controversy. Lastly we wrap up the episode with 'in and outs', who's coming and who's going to the next series. Ding ding. That's the end of the over.
