Welcome to this series of thematic podcasts on Biodiversity. Each episode focuses on a different area of supporting Biodiversity. The primary objective of the podcast is to be a microlearning tool for gardners, landscapers and Biodiversity enthusiasts. The episode length is optimal for addressing neurodiversity needs and can therefore be enjoyed while you're on the move. This podcast is intended not only for landscaping professionals, but everyone curious on the topic of Biodiversity. Zoe Atlagic and Boncho Kostadinov are the podcast hosts. Zoe has a background in various botanical knowledge and landscape aesthetics. Boncho Kostadinov is a landscaping teacher at Green Academy. Green Academy is a vocational school that offers a wide variety of educations branches in the botanical field. https://ju.dk/international-green-academy/ They focus on the various aspects of biodiversity and how to implement them. The Dean of Landscaping at Green Academy Aarhus , Peder Glud and I, had the pleasure to interview Prof. Maribel Blasco and Postdoc. Albina Dioba , about their involvement in '' Permahaven '' - a permaculture garden in the heart of Copenhagen. We discuss the challenges and advantages of creating such spaces, as well as the hidden benefits and values. How we can address biodiversity, sustainability and well-being in the big city. “This green oasis in the heart of the big city wouldn’t have been possible to achieve without the support of the student organisation CBS Climate Club , and in particular their former President Sebastian Cyril Ladegourdie Olsson . Special thanks to Prof. Isabel Froes who, as co-founder and co-coordinator of Permahaven alongside Prof. Maribel Blasco , has worked tirelessly to make the garden a reality.
