Send us Fan Mail Pursuing Redemption with Duke White | Learning to Hope After Hardship Duke White of the GoodVue Network sits down with me to talk about a story I never imagined I would one day have the courage to tell, my story of abuse, survival, healing, and learning to hope again. For years, I carried the wounds of abuse and the lies that came with them. But the Lord has healed me and is leading me to finally telling my story, not simply to revisit the pain, but to share what it looks like to find peace, freedom, and hope on the other side. My story, Deeply Wounded Hope , explores surviving abuse and the healing journey of coming into right relationship with the Trinity. God Box continues that journey, and Shake Off the Lies , the newest book in the trilogy, focuses on untangling the lies we've believed and learning to believe God's best for our lives. If you or someone you love is walking through the aftermath of abuse or simply trying to find hope after a season of deep hardship, this episode is for you. My prayer is that through this conversation, you would discover that your story isn't over. There can be peace after chaos, love after hurt, and hope after the deepest wounds. There is mercy on the other side. And with God, there is redemption. Support the show Follow along at Instagram @restoringministriesok or Facebook @restoringministriesok. Send us Fan Mail In this powerful and deeply personal episode, I sit down with Lisa Jennett, better known as “ Sunshine, ” to talk about a story marked by pain, healing, humor, and an unexpected encounter that changed everything. Lisa opens up about overcoming childhood abuse and the journey that ultimately led her to truly meet Jesus and discover what she calls “ God, Real Dad ” at Jesus Jail, a women’s retreat that became a defining moment in her life. But Lisa’s story is anything but ordinary. A self-described “less than tall” woman in her early sixties, Lisa has spent most of her life in Texas, with a chapter in Scotland along the way. She and her Santa Claus-variety husband, affectionately known as Tank, share six kids, around ten grandkids, or “natural wonders of the world,” and a love for traveling with friends, Harley trips, and discovering distant dive restaurants. For the past 25 years, Lisa has made her living as a landscaper. She renames people because she sometimes sees them differently than everyone else does. Behind all that humor is a woman who is madly, insanely in love with what she calls “the Triplets”: God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. That love is what gives Lisa the courage to step outside her comfort zone and share parts of her story she would much rather keep private. She shares them because she knows what it feels like to need healing, to need a Father, and to discover a love powerful enough to change your life. This is a conversation about surviving what happened to you, discovering who God really is, and finding the courage to invite someone else into the same hope and healing you've found. Want to hear more of Lisa’s story? Her book, When I Last Saw Me: The Memoir of Sammi Bass , is available on Amazon and Audible. Send us Fan Mail What happens when you stop building your life around what you can accomplish and start building it around who God says you are? In this powerful episode of Pursuing Redemption , I sit down with Coach Joshua Eze to talk about faith, identity, purpose, and what it looks like to let Jesus transform every area of your life, including your career and dreams. Joshua shares his journey of coming to know Jesus and how his faith gradually became woven into his professional journey and coaching business. He opens up about some of his biggest “aha” moments with God and the profound difference between living from orphanhood versus sonship and how our identity can shape the way we approach our relationships, calling, work, and future. Together, we talk about the roadblocks that keep us from allowing God to lead, the unnecessary limitations and bondages we place on ourselves, and what it means to live with a breaker mindset — breaking through the things that have held us back and learning to walk in the freedom God has given us. Joshua also offers encouragement for anyone who feels like they have been running the race for a long time, yet the dream or promise still seems out of reach. What do you do when you've been faithful, but you haven't seen the breakthrough? How do you keep dreaming when the promise hasn't come to pass? This conversation is a reminder that redemption isn't simply about where you've been, it's about allowing Jesus to redefine your identity, restore your hope, and lead you into the life He has called you to live. Send us Fan Mail In this deeply moving episode, I sit down with Dr. Robin Braun to explore the journey of healing from eating disorders, perfectionism, and performance-based identity — through the transformative love of Father God. Dr. Braun shares her unique path into inner healing, combining tools like frequency work, muscle testing, and deliverance ministry with her work as a licensed professional counselor. Her approach has helped countless individuals break free from trauma and step into true identity and wholeness. We also step into the weightier side of her calling — her groundbreaking work with survivors of extreme trauma, including Satanic ritual abuse and MKUltra. These stories are not easy to hear, but they reveal a profound truth: when darkness is exposed, it loses its power. As Dr. Braun says, “Once you take the lid off of darkness, darkness loses its power.” Rather than focusing on the trauma itself, Dr. Braun brings survivors into encounters with Jesus — where wounded parts are met with love, truth, and miraculous healing. It’s a conversation that will challenge you, stretch your understanding, and ultimately point you back to hope. Dr. Braun is also the author of impactful books including Living Like a Son: Releasing Blocks to Truly Knowing a Loving Father God and Thrive: Applying Biblical & Quantum Energy Principles to Live a Transformed Life. Send us Fan Mail What if the symptoms you’ve been battling aren’t the real problem, but a signal pointing to something deeper? In this powerful episode, we sit down with Beatty Carmichael , a teacher on spiritual roots, healing, and freedom, and the creator of The Prayer of Freedom — a biblically based prayer process that has helped people around the world find breakthrough from struggles tied to emotional trauma, chronic pain, addiction, and mental distress. At a time when millions are navigating chronic pain, addiction, and reliance on psychiatric medications, Beatty offers a thought-provoking perspective: what if many diagnoses are accurate, but the root cause has been misunderstood? Drawing from his experience working with over a thousand individuals, Beatty shares how identifying spiritual roots — rather than solely addressing symptoms —has led many people to experience significant freedom, sometimes in a single day. This conversation explores the intersection of faith, healing, and the unseen factors that may influence our well-being. This episode is not about replacing medical care, but about expanding the conversation and inviting listeners to consider a deeper dimension of healing that may be overlooked. Send us Fan Mail In this powerful episode, we explore the biblical theology of Christian egalitarianism with Marg, a thoughtful theologian and teacher committed to helping believers flourish in Christ. Marg shares her conviction that while men and women have fundamental biological differences, they share far more in common and are essentially equal before God. She believes women and men should have equal access to opportunities and services that support human flourishing, and that roles, responsibilities, and functions in the home, church, and wider society are best shared according to a person’s God-given gifts, abilities, talents, and temperament rather than gender. Marg holds a Bachelor of Theology (BTh) from the Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) and a Master of Arts (MA) from Macquarie University, specializing in early Christian and Jewish studies. Her award-winning thesis focused on deacons and Phoebe of Cenchrea, offering fresh insight into women’s leadership in the early church. Much of her time is spent studying, writing, and engaging with people online who reach out through her work. Her personal vision is rooted in Romans 8:29: “to be conformed to the image of Christ.” While she acknowledges this will not be fully realized in this lifetime, she holds fast to the promise of 1 John 3:2. Her mission is twofold: to draw as close to God as possible, be continually filled with the Holy Spirit, and encourage others to do the same, and to live as a Kingdom agent wherever she is. Marg’s heart is to see Jesus-followers thrive in the new life Christ offers. Listeners are invited to explore her articles and Bible study notes on Philippians and 1 Peter, and to connect with her for speaking engagements through her website or social media platforms, on Facebook , Instagram , Bluesky , Twitter , and Linktree . Send us Fan Mail Cecilia and I have an amazing conversation of what it means to be an undocumented young girl crossing the US/Mexico border repeatedly over the course of her childhood. Cecilia says that our childhood years are our most formative ones and the manner in which we process information is impacted by our parents and other influential adults, culture and other factors that stick with us into adulthood. Her childhood was filled with lies she had come to believe about herself. Those lies held her hostage and hindered Cecilia from living the life God purposed and fashioned specially for her. In each seismic event she encountered during adulthood, Cecilia could feel herself being stripped of all the masks she wore in an attempt to protect some fictitious version of herself. Cecilia's hope is that her book, Fighting for an Identity , will help others live a life free of the lies that have held them captive. Our conversation details what it means to come into true understanding of our identities in Christ and how intricately woven together our lives are by God.
