Well, the internet was right about one so far: Stepeh Root has confirmed he's voicing Brian in GTA 6. Brian appears to be a friend and ally to dual protagonists Lucia and Jason, and can be seen in the nearly 30-minute-long gameplay preview that dropped a couple of weeks ago. In other news, BlizzCon 2026 did not disapoint, as Blizzard revealed new entries for Diablo, StarCraft, and Warcraft, among other titles. According to reports, the game was already missing deadlines, was in danger of being overbudget, and was still years away from release. Sony has had a string of high-profile flops and cancelations—especially in the live-service space—so it seems like the company was looking to trim budget wherever it could. In other news, another Sony-related property has popped up under a different name. What looks like a trailer for the extraction shooter Fairgame$ has appeared, but under the name Project Espresso.     In today's Daily Fix:Hideo Kojima's upcoming spy project, Physint, is moving from PlayStation to Xbox. Announced by Kojima, the move was apparently due to Physint's potentially cancellation by Sony, who may have been scared off by Death Stranding 2's low sales compared to the original. Xbox has now signed a publishing deal with Kojima Productions, and will now be publishing both Physint and the upcoming horror game, OD. In other news, Nintendo is giving back to their fans—sort of—by way of a sale discounting select games, hardware, and accessories like amiibo. The sale is due in part to tariff refunds Nintendo had received.

    In today's Daily Fix:Apple finally joined the foldable phone trend with the announcement of the iPhone Dup, the company's first foldable smartphone. When folded, Apple claims it's about the size of a passport, and unfolded it measure around 7 1/2 inches across. The smallest storage capacity available is 256GB that starts at $1999, and goes all the way to 2TB at $3199. The iPhone Duo will officially be available on October 23rd. In other news, PlayStation Plus subscribers have a new batch of games available this month, including Ball x Pit, Date Everything! and Metro Redux, among others. And finally, a new collab is coming to Skyrim in the form of the Kallax storage unit. And it's not just a piece of furniture, it's a sentient companion that's voiced by What We Do In the Shadows' Matt Barry.

    In today's Daily Fix:Nintendo has finally shown us gameplay for the highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, along with first looks at a new LEGO set, Zelda amiibo, a very cool replica Master Sword, and more. Unfortunately not much was shown from the upcoming Zelda live-action movie, but we did get an official logo. In other news, GTA 6's global release times have been confirmed, and U.S. gamers can boot it up starting midnight Eastern time, November 19th (meaning West Coast gamers can start a few hours early at 9pm Pacific). And finally, Capcom's streak continues with Onimusha: Way of the Sword selling one million copies so far. Capcom is now considering reviving other dormant IPs, which means we may finally get that Dino Crisis reboot.

    In today's Daily Fix:Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann confirmed to The Washington Post that the game developer is not involved creatively with HBO's The Last of Us anymore. The company is still working on TLOU games, despite having its live-service title canceled. HBO's The Last of Us will be debuting its third and final season sometime in 2027. In other news, Nintendo has announced two Directs for next week: one focusing on The Legend of Zelda's 40th anniversary, and the other a showcase of titles coming to Switch 2 later this year. We're hoping the Zelda direct not only features the first gameplay of the Ocarina of Time remake, but also a footage from next year's Legend of Zelda movie.     In today's Daily Fix:Rockstar Games and Sony have revealed a pair of limited edition PS5 DualSense controllers with a GTA 6 theme. One is black, the other white, and have the GTA 6 logo and other designs etched into the controllers. Both will be sold separately for about $85. Pre-orders will open via PlayStation Direct on September 10th. In other news, the final Final Fantasy 7 remake game now has a release date. Final Fantasy 7 Revelations will drop on April 8, 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2. And finally, Crimson Desert's first major story expansion will be available next month. It takes place after the main game has concluded, so you might want to wrap that up before diving into the new content.

Sony has already announced plans to stop physical media production on first-party titles in 2028, leading many to speculate that the PS6 will be completely digital, a move that will effectively kill physical media for games. Even if The Witcher 4, which is due out sometime in 2028, won't have a disc, CD Projekt RED would still want collectors to have something physical. In related news, Sony is doubling down on their all-digital future, arguing in court that gamers do not have any reasonable expectation of owning their digital purchases from the PlayStation Network. And finally, Sony is airing another State of Play showcase tomorrow at 6am Pacific.

Currently, the Xbox Series X generation includes the flagship Series X, the slightly more affordable but less powerful Series S, and the ROG Xbox Ally X handheld developed with ASUS. In other news, Microsoft's translucent green Xbox Series X may have had its price revealed, and it won't come cheap. The special edition console will retail for around €899.99, or about $900 USD. The standard 1TB Series X was launched in 2020 for $499 USD. And finally, Dave Bautista is officially confirmed to be taking over the role of Kratos in the God of War series.     In today's Daily Fix:Grand Theft Auto 6 has suffered a string of devastating leaks recently, with reportedly the full map and more gameplay being shown. The group behind the leaks, CyberLeek, has also published a manifesto railing against excessive monetization in games, and the death of physical media. The group has promised more leaks until their grievances are addressed. The leaks come a little over a week until the official in-depth reveal from Rockstar and Netflix, who will carry the livestream exclusively for six hours. In other news, Horizon Hunters Gathers, the multiplayer-centric spinoff of the Horizon games from Sony, is reportedly being completely retooled following negative player feedback. In other news, dataminers may have found the next additions to Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. According to the leak, Doctor Strange, Wasp, Gambit, The Thing, and Daredevil might be dropping into the fighting game in the near future.
