Most Calgary teams are on the road this long weekend. We preview Cavalry FC as they visit Halifax to take on the Wanderers and we also talk about the Wild going to BMO Field to play AFC Toronto. The Farkhunda Muthaj saga has now reached its conclusion. The Wild announced that she will be leaving the club by mutual agreement. We have some final comments about perhaps the strangest story we've seen since we started the podcast. Both of Calgary's women's USports teams play their first matches of the season this weekend as the Dinos travel to Winnipeg and the Cougars go to Lethbridge. We have interviews with Dinos veteran Jaden Tomaszewski and Cougars head coach Tino Fusco to help preview their seasons. We also discuss Calgary's men's USports teams, ACAC action, Alberta Provincials matches in Calgary and Canada playing in the women's U20 World Cup. We recap this weekend's action. Cavalry FC managed a 1-0 victory over Vancouver FC at Spruce Meadows on Saturday. Combined with a Forge loss, the Cavs now sit top of the table in the CPL. This is the first time this season they have done so where there have been no games in hand involved. We also have a brief discussion about Tobias Warschewski's brilliant season and if it's enough to attract any interest from MLS clubs. The Calgary Wild's unbeaten streak is now at five matches as they drew the Vancouver Rise 2-2 on Saturday at Swangard Stadium. Sarah Kelty-Dilling made her Wild debut between the sticks after waiting for her chance for a year and a half. There were no USports matches to recap from the weekend but there were a few ACAC doubleheaders. We discussed SAIT's victories over Red Deer and the Ambrose Lions matches vs Lethbridge and Olds College. The PDP Championships wrapped up in Montreal this weekend. The Calgary Rangers U15 Girls captured a bronze medal with a victory over Vancouver United. Teams from Foothills, Mackenzie United, and South West United also competed. In our 200th episode, we cover a wide range of Calgary soccer topics. We preview Cavalry FC's match vs Vancouver FC and the Calgary Wild's game vs Vancouver Rise. Post secondary action has kicked off for Calgary schools and we spend a lot of time talking about it, including two interviews. The first edition of the Crowchild Classic happened on Thursday in front of a crowd of over 1700 at McMahon Stadium. We talk about that match. Our first interview is with with Dinos veteran Joey Plenzik, who talks about this season. The ACAC season starts this weekend with SAIT's home opener on Saturday and Ambrose's home opener on Sunday. Meanwhile, the Wild sunk to a new low with a 6-0 loss at the hands of AFC Toronto. This is an intriguing matchup as the Ravens have been playing some really good football of late and they always seem to plays well against the Cavs. We do our usual Alberta Premier League match reviews and previews. Staying on the topic of Wild U23, our interview is with Kennedi Kiarash, who has many roles with the Calgary Wild. She is the technical director of the academy and is head coach of the U23 team that's at the top of the table in the Alberta Premier League.
