Sadly, today marks the final episode of 'What’s Up in Jeju'. Over the past 1 year and 8 months, we’ve explored the diverse charms of Jeju. Let’s take a look back at some of the best moments and highlights from our journey together!

First, we’ll explore ‘Art Lab. Sanyang’, a creative complex that repurposes an old school building. Next, we’ll take a walk through ‘Sanyang Keunkot’, which lies within the lush Gotjawal forest zone. Lastly, we’ll take a look at a book that documents the history of Sanyang-ri.

Today, we're visiting the 'My Dazzling Friends' exhibition. Meet the artworks created over the past year, both individually and together, by four close artist friends —a painter, a cartoonist, an illustrator, and a makeup artist!

The 'Tamna-guk Ipchun-gut' festival showcases various Jeju shamanic rituals performed to pray for prosperity and ward off misfortune in celebration of 'Ipchun (the beginning of spring)'. Welcome the New Year with us at the 'Tamna-guk Ipchun-gut' festival and join in wishing for new hopes together!

Today, we meet 89-year-old Jung Bumija, who has been making haenyeo diving suits for over 50 years. We will hear her life story and take a closer look at the history and craftsmanship of haenyeo diving suits.

Having ended last year at the westernmost point, I’ll start the new year by traveling to the small easternmost village of Jongdal-ri in Jeju. In Jongdal-ri, I’ll explore the history of Jeju’s first-ever salt flats and meet Chun-ok Kim, a haenyeo (female diver), to hear her life story.

Today, let's explore the public libraries across Jeju Island. From the small village library 'Hankyung Library', to the seaside 'Aewol Library', and finally to 'Halla Library', the largest library in Jeju. Let’s enrich our minds together while reading books in these wonderful libraries.

Additionally, we learn about the traditional custom of "Daljip Burning" associated with Jeongwol Daeboreum. We'll also visit Gamjeo Café, a unique spot created by renovating an old sweet potato starch factory, as well as the local five-day market.

Today, we are having a "Carrot Harvesting Experience" in Pyeongdae-ri, Gujwa-eup, Jeju. We’ll learn about Jeju carrots while harvesting them directly from the carrot fields and enjoy healthy carrot dishes made with fresh, in-season Jeju carrots.

Today, we introduce the Seonheul Grandma exhibition 'Daughters, Mothers, Grandmas, and Fantastic Gods'. Explore a special exhibition held across 11 art warehouses in Seonheul Village, showcasing the lives of 11 Jeju grandmothers with an average age of 85, told through their paintings of resilience and hardship.

Today, we're exploring the best spots in Jeju to enjoy the Christmas spirit! From the Teddy Bear Museum and the Weihnachten Christmas Museum to the Jeju Christmas Fair, 'Santa Watsuda,' let's get ready for a warm and festive Christmas in Jeju! 🎄✨
