Wild on 7th

Wild on 7th puts a bow on the 4th season of the podcast, with none other than our favorite guest and friend of the show, Wild GM Bill Guerin. Ryan Carter, John King, and Joe O'Donnell sit down with Bill to discuss the regular season successes, the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the disappointments, the opportunities, and most importantly Bill's preferred method of "grilling." It has been an exciting season, with many steps in the right direction, and we truly appreciate all the listeners and followers as we navigate this journey alongside all of you. We are already looking forward to next season, so stay tuned to social channels throughout the off season for up dates on upcoming shows and events, and certainly some looks back at some of the best segments from this season. The Minnesota Wild's Stanley Cup Playoff run has ended in disappointing fashion. After an unbelievable start to game 5, the Colorado Avalanche simply were the better team, and took nearly every opportunity they saw to expose the Minnesota Wild's mistakes. With that said, the Minnesota Wild had a goal disallowed, they hit the cross bar, and there were times that the small things just set them back enough for Colorado to creep in and steal it at the end. This one in going to sting for the Minnesota fanbase, but there were also alot of positives that came out of the series, and the season as a whole. Ryan Carter kicks off the show joined by Kevin Gorg, and is later joined by John King and Joe O'Donnell for a full recap of game 5 in Denver. Give it a listen, and never forget the feeling of the game 3 victory, and ultimately the game 4 and game 5 losses. This is a team right on the doorstep of greatness, but they'll have to wait until next season to show us what they learned.

Game 4 at Grand Casino Arena between the Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche had a different vibe than game 3 in Saint Paul, and the result was indicative of that. Ryan Carter and John King break down the Minnesota Wild loss on Monday night, but this is a best of 7 series, and it's not over. Wild head to Denver today for a Wednesday night matchup and a do or die game. Joe O'Donnell joins the pod and is already planning for the radio broadcast back home in Saint Paul on Friday night! The guys in the room are going to have to dig deep, but this is squad that is fully capable of doing so. Even after a tough loss in game 4, this still feels different, and the panel today will help get your mind set for Wednesdays game. Get outside and take a few deep breaths, because the Minnesota Wild are in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and there is ALOT of determination to make sure there is ALOT of hockey left to be played! The Wall of Saint Paul is back and was in full effect last night in the Silver City, in front of a full house, and a packed crowd out on West 7th street outside Grand Casino Arena. The Minnesota Wild earn their first home win in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs since 2014. Ryan Carter and John King walked tall into the studio, albeit a bit stinky from the block party shenanigans last night, but no other way to celebrate this win AND all the Mothers on their special day, than to to deliver a recap of game 3. Joe O'Donnell and Kevin Gorg jump-in to give their flowers to the entire fanbase, along with so many key pieces on the ice last night. Happy Mother's Day everyone! Celebrate all the Mom's along with last nights win, but be ready for another tilt tomorrow night!

Round 2 Game 2, and a Rocky Mountain start for the Minnesota Wild. John King and Ryan Carter are joined in studio by #21, fan favorite rink side reporter Kevin Gorg, for a cinco de mayo celebration that ultimately ended with the Colorado Avalanche taking a series lead 2-0. Now the Minnesota Wild have a few days to rest, and like our hosts have said in the past, hopefully "rest is a weapon." Saturdays game in Saint Paul is sure to be an electric atmosphere, and will kick off at 5pm with a block party leading into a watch party on West 7th St. Come down to Saint Paul whether you have tickets or not, and enjoy a live experience with the hosts of Wild on 7th, the Red Bull DJ truck, beverages, and more. The Minnesota Wild look to even up the series on home ice, and Grand Casino Arena is going to be rocking.

With as many people on the panel as goals scored in last nights game, Wild on 7th has a doozy of a recap of game 1 so buckle up. John King and Ryan Carter are joined by great friends of the show, Alex Stalock, Kevin Gorg, and Joe O'Donnell for a rich podcast that will try to make sense of the stat night of last nights round 2 playoff matchup between the Minnesota Wild and the Colorado Avalanche. We might all be scratching our heads still a little bit, but if anything, it shows that the Minnesota Wild don't have anything to worry about when it comes to scoring goals. After a late night celebrating with fellow staffers, the guys break down the series, the turning points, the biggest goals, and how important this is for the franchise and the fan base. They talk superstitions, power-ponytails, and loose change, all while recognizing that the players have different things in mind, and that's a laser focus on winning the Stanley Cup! This team feels different, and although we've maybe said this in the past, these are writing their own story, so follow along as we go on this Stanley Cup Playoff journey together!

The Minnesota Wild take game 5 in Dallas, and take the series lead as they return to the silver city of Saint Paul for a Thursday night tilt. Kevin Gorg and Joe O'Donnell join King and Carts for a full recap. The guys discuss some superstitions amongst the broadcast team, some power pony tails, and some shiny pocket change, that truly could be the difference makers. Wild with Trenin and Zuccy back in the lineup, played a poised game, and the fan base enjoyed a calm and collected squad that was deep in enemy territory. Game 6 at Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul is going to be electric. Enough Minnesota Nice, take the last cookie, eat the last nacho, don't hold the door for anyone, it's playoff hockey, and the Wild are on the verge of taking round 1! Let's Go. (13.)

Minnesota Wild take game 4 against the Dallas Stars. Kevin Gorg and Joe O'Donnell join Ryan Carter and John King for a full recap of the game. Razor sharp wit from all sides except Dallas, but I'm sure they'll try in game 5. The Minnesota Wild played a late one against the Dallas Stars...ending this morning actually. They lost. It's ok. This is the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This is a series. The Minnesota Wild take game 1 in the opening series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Dallas Stars. Ryan Carter and Joe O'Donnell join us from the road in Dallas, where they witnessed a very strong opening game from the Wild. John King is holding down the studio at TRIA rink, making sure the rock tumbler is rolling, and maintaining the hate, as this series is about to heat up. Big game by nearly all Wild players, Kirill Kaprizov snipes, big goals by Matt Boldy, Ekker, Ryan Hartman, the list goes on. Series stands at 1-0 Minnesota. The 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs are upon us, and the Minnesota Wild kick things off on the road against Dallas on Saturday. King and Carts welcome back two fan favorites this week, with the voice of Wild Radio Joe O'Donnell, and Wild rink side reporter Kevin Gorg, for some preflight appetizers, predictions, and good ole fun. Kinger is dressed for the post season, and he's ready to drag everyone into this fight, so buckle up for a tasty Stanley Cup Playoff Primer, and let the hate build before puck drop on Saturday afternoon. Happy Easter Monday to the Wild on 7th faithful! We hope you had a wonderful weekend. Ryan and John are back in the studio this week to recap the latest Minnesota Wild games over their back to back weekend. The guys pass out bouquets to nearly the entire roster, share their love for Kirill's bangs, Trenin's hits, and Easter ham, but the real star of this weeks show is the zyn Santa himself, #7 Brock Faber. Brock graciously stopped by the Custom One Club at Grand Casino Arena following team picture day, and shared some laughs with Carts and Kinger. Thankfully, Brock brought his mustache along for the ride, as all eyes look towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Throw away your trimmer, because the playoffs are almost here!

When it comes to siblings performing at the highest level, there are none higher on that list than the Wright Brothers...try to keep up here folks....and then a very close second, but with much higher odds of punching you in the face....are the Foligno brothers! Carts and King enter a full house at TRIA Rink this week for an amazing interview with these amazing humans. They run the brothers through rapid fire, they talk leadership, the Gudas fight, and more. There is a void in the State of Hockey that will never be filled, as we remember our colleague and friend Jessi Pierce, who's life, alongside her 3 children and family dog, was cut short in a tragic house fire on March 21st, in White Bear Lake, MN. We will remember her and her infectious smile, and we will miss her around the rink and in the media scrum. The game of hockey lost one of its biggest fans, and one of its many voices. May you rest in peace Jessi, Hudson, Cayden, and Avery. In support of Jessi and her children, Ryan Carter and John King share some stories and admiration about Jessi, and as she would, continue on to deliver the hockey content you all desire. The guys spend some time talking about the Dallas Stars matchup over the weekend, and then welcome Minnesota Wild newcomer Michael McCarron to the show, for an awesome interview and the classic rapid fire segment.

Trade deadline has passed, and the Minnesota Wild have clearly made the biggest splash in the league (that just so happened a month prior to the deadline) with Quinn Hughes. Carts and King connect this week after a flurry of pods surrounding Kirill and Zuccy, the boys high school hockey tournament and the trade deadline, so it's nice to be back in the studio for some good old fashion Wild on 7th banter! King was stuck in transit earlier this week, with a huge spring snow storm wreaking havoc on his travel plans, so we've made a couple pivots and here we are...a Wednesday pod. The guys breakdown a number of milestones happening for Minnesota Wild hockey, give some bouquets to Ryan Hartman, Equipment Manager Tony DeCosta, JoJo, Brodie, Bolds, and the list goes on! When it's all said and done, the main take away is that the Minnesota Wild are a legit team, possibly in the most legit position in franchise history, and the guys have their sights on the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The National Hockey League trade deadline has passed, and The Minnesota Wild have locked their roster for the 25-26 season. With alot of chatter around the league for the last month or so, Billy Guerin has made his deals, and the Wild can exhale and focus on finishing the regular season strong. Ryan Carter is joined by fellow sweet tooth Al Stalock at the Waldorf Astoria in Vegas, as the Wild warmup for tonights battle against the Knights, and Kinger holds it down in Saint Paul, where the Boys State Tourney is in full swing. Grab yourself a T-Rex cookie, exhale, and imagine the Stanley Cup Playoff run of your dreams, because we've got our team, and now we go!

Another special installment of Wild on 7th, as the Boys hit the ice at Grand Casino Arena for the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament. Jack Jablonski joins Ryan Carter and John King for a full preview of the Boys tourney, from Class AA tilts, to Class A matchups. The guys break it down and give you their predictions, for what is sure to be another amazing tournament in the state of hockey! There are moments in the history of sports that are so big that you remember exactly where you were, the people you were with, the smells, the sounds, the purity of the moment. Hopefully today is NOT that day for you, because this is just a podcast.
