(VIDEO PODCAST) The Next Chapter Series: Lois Allen Lilly started calling radio stations at age six to enter contests. She became a disc jockey in South Florida at 21. Then a PBS TV correspondent. Then a rights and clearances specialist at NBC News for over a decade, where she quietly became the go-to scratch track narrator for the documentary unit. Then a voiceover professional. Then a co-author of two books on mid-century fashion photography. Currently working on a third. She did all of this while being, as Kim put it, very New York — direct, authoritative, straight to the point — and then learning to soften that just enough to book the furniture commercials alongside the documentaries.
