    Sep 12, 20261 hr 28 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ Warren returns to the podcast to talk about the latest coaching insights and his trip to Chamonix for UTMB. Woza had front row seats to watch the action from downtown Chamonix, So we do our best to talk through the highs and the lows of the greatest show on earth. We talk about the Brits who did well and the ones that either came up short, or even suffered at the hands of the infamous Chamonix bug! We then dive into some coaching insights, including the benefits of double days lactate gels and we assume that our phones have been listening to our conversations, because we both keep getting ads for peptides! 2. LUCY GOSSAGE | New Pennine Way Record!

    Sep 10, 202647 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ Lucy returns to the Home Trails Podcast to talk about her new Pennine Way record! After a previous attempt to complete as a self supported record attempt, Lucy returned to finish the job......and finish it she did! Knocking 2 hours off Anna Troup's previous record. Lucy talks about her recovery, which involves going back to work (seriously), swollen legs and zero alcohol beers! She plans to head up to the LAP tomorrow to watch her sister run and eat lots of cake (her, not her sister!) We talk about the laid back fun approach to the monumental effort that saw her run for just under 3 days straight, an achievement that no other woman has managed until now! We talk about her support crew that was a who's who of the UK ultra-running community and how they got her through the highs and the lows of the epic journey from Kirk Yetholm back to Edale. Lucy believes that another woman could get closer to the 65 hour mark on the right weather window. But until that happens we have a new Pennine Way record holder. Take a bow GOSS! 5. Charlotte Fisher | Pre-UTMB Interview

    Aug 26, 202640 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ Charlotte returns for a chat about UTMB. We talk about this being Charlotte's debut at the big loop and how she feels going into race week. We talk about her time at the Hoka training camp in Chamonix and how she missed the start of the craziness beginning in the town to return to the Isle of Wight to be at home. We talk about the pressure that she does/doesn't feel is on her for her first attempt at the race and how overall, she feels like the pressure is slightly off because its her first go at the race. But as we all know with big races like this, anything can happen if you run your own race. We can't wait to start tracking on Friday! 6. UTMB Week - Preview!

    Aug 24, 20261 hr 3 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ It's UTMB week! So I sit down with Louise, one of the Home Trailers to discuss. Louise is no stranger to UTMB and big ticket races, so she comes on to giver her perspective as a previous racer over in Chamonix and to give us the low down on the women's races. We chat about the race schedule for the week, what the races are like and obviously the contenders for the podiums from the women's and mens elite fields. We also chat about the wildcards racing for the first time and who we think is being overlooked! We end the chat with Charlotte Fisher popping on before her own pre-race interview (out in a few days) For the keen listener....we had a couple of microphone mishaps in this episode, one involving me leaving my DJI mini mic on while I went inside to get a drink (plus some other stuff!) You'll maybe see or hear the outtakes at some point this week! HT Instagram @hometrails_ WhatsApp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/BaTzsOKEJrI1ObLKhqRREg YouTube @HOMETRAILSMEDIA

  7. RY WEBB | Lakeland 50 Winner, Surfboard maker, Pizza expert!

    Aug 8, 202652 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ On this episode of HT I speak to Ry Webb. Ry was somewhat of an enigma to me and I freely admitted that I should know more about him. Having quietly been doing his thing for many years, Ry isn't big on social media and prefers to race and not create too much fanfare. But, his results speak for him. In 2021 he won and set the course record on the Centurion NDW50. He won the WD200 in 2023 and was 2nd at Lakeland 100 last year. He regularly hits the top ten at international races and was 4th at Leadville 100 in 2025 and took on Laverado 80k and OCC to name a few big races. This year Ry took 1st place at the highly competitive Lakeland 50 ,with the top 3 all within minutes of each other, all whilst suffering from cramp that seems to follow him to every big race he does! So in this interview, I dig into Ry's superhero origin story and find out how he got into trail running, his pizza and surfboard making skills, his coaching business and his close ties with Centurion Running. Get to know Ry on the HT podcast! Instagram @hometrails_ WhatsApp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/BaTzsOKEJrI1ObLKhqRREg YouTube @HOMETRAILSMEDIA

From the ongoing peptide issue, to the new kid on the block Lactate, being used in the form of gels by the peloton already, which should give you an idea of how new this is given that hardly anyone has even heard about them! We also talk about accidental fasted running and Woza answers questions from the Home Trails WhatsApp community. So If you're not signed up to the podcast WhatsApp group, then get on it now! link is in the HT Instagram bio and the bottom of the podcast show notes. 9. ANNA TROUP | Lakeland 100

    Jul 28, 202657 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ Anna returns to the Home Trails Podcast! In this episode we speak about her lead up to LL100, which included a DNF at the Summer Spine Race last month, her stress fracture that was on its way out just in time for LL and how her nutrition strategy was actually the goal of this race. We talk about her learnings from the race including the steady pacing strategy that she employed to test out her race plans for TGC in September. A strategy that actually paid off when the race ahead of her fell apart through injury and heat exhaustion. We discuss aging at the front of races and how she is coming to terms with the fact that she is now focusing on age category positions rather than the overall win. Although this performance shows that she still has what it takes to win big UK races! 10. Andrew Ferguson and Sam Calvert | ARC + Skyline Scotland by UTMB

    Jul 21, 20261 hr 0 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ In this episode of the podcast we have not one, but two guests! I'm joined by Andrew 'Ferg' Ferguson, race director at the ARC of Attrition and Sam Calvert, Event Director for UTMB in the UK. The ARC recently made some alterations to various aspects of its races, so Ferg has come on to answer some of your questions and speak about concerns from the trail running community. Sam speaks about the recent acquisition of the Skyline Scotland race, the last race to be snapped up after the collapse of Ourea. He speaks about plans for the race and the fact that although UTMB sometimes come under fire, they are keeping to its core principals, which is helped by keeping Shane involved. Sam is keen to show a new side of UTMB. Previously the organisation came under fire for keeping silent when concerns were raised about races. Sam endeavours to put a face to the global trail running giants and aims to keep lines of communication open. This podcast is part of that endeavour. I have a feeling we might be tapping Sam up on a regular basis to get the answers we need from them. Love them or hate them, UTMB aren't going anywhere so expect more interviews from them going forward.... 19. CHARLOTTE FISHER | 2nd Place UTS

    May 20, 202649 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ It wouldn't be another running of the UTS without an interview with our No1 guest! Charlotte returned to this years race to better her 3rd place podium spot from last year, which she did with her 2nd place in an all Brit podium! We talk about the brutal conditions on the race at times, how she almost had her first DNF due to hyperthermia that left her wandering about in a daze not knowing if she was racing or on a drunken night out from her past life! Charlotte talks openly about how the race went and her learnings about kit and the dangers of the cold, on what should have been a perfectly executed race. Although she was aiming for the top spot, she has no regrets about her second place and is even more hungry to come back next year to achieve her goal of winning arguably one of the toughest 100 mile races in the UTMB series! Charlotte also shares the exclusive news of her signing to an athlete management team (the same as Tom Evans) who are no doubt going to negotiate some high end brand sponsorship deals for her! FINALLY!! Great to chat to Charlotte as always.... HT Instagram @hometrails_ WhatsApp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/BaTzsOKEJrI1ObLKhqRREg YouTube @HOMETRAILSMEDIA

  20. SAGE CANADAY | Doping in Ultramarathons!

    May 8, 20261 hr 5 min

Message Home Trails here - include an email or name for a response ⬅️ In the latest episode of the Podcast, we talk to ultra-running legend Sage Canaday! Sage has been on our screens for over a decade with his YouTube running channel - Vo2maxproductions. He also has a huge social media presence where he openly expresses his opinions on the trail and ultra scene. Which at times gets him into some hot water. Most notably recently with his take on a very famous bow hunter-turned ultra runner, who openly admitted to taking substances banned by WADA whilst clocking an age group winning 2:39 marathon PR at the age of 58! Said runner is also known for taking part in various big ultramarathons, including the recent Cocodona 250. Sage took the brave step of highlighting this to the running community and obviously opinions are divided on the subject of TRT and substances that aid recovery. The conversation hopefully was nuanced, but this is a hot topic at the moment so I'll let you listen and decide your own opinion on the subject! It wasn't all doom and gloom though! We gave Sage the full Superhero treatment and found out where he started in running and how he as a 40 year old runner who has been serious about running since he was a teenager, has changed his approach to training and racing. We also talk about the other hot topics of sub 2 marathons, super shoes and bicarb! HT Instagram @hometrails_ WhatsApp group https://chat.whatsapp.com/BaTzsOKEJrI1ObLKhqRREg YouTube @HOMETRAILSMEDIA
