It is officially Noirvember! Dark and moody movies just in time for a dark and moody season. To kick things off we're sipping on an upgraded Whiskey Sour and talking about an aloof classic, Out of the Past. This movie has everything you could ever want in a Noir: mood lighting, lots of smoke, flashbacks, hardboiled dudes in trench coats, and of course....our favorite archetype, the Femme Fatale. Starring Jane Greer, Robert Mitchum, and Kirk Douglas. Cheers! Whiskey Sour with OJ: 2 oz Rye Whiskey, 1 oz Lemon Juice, 1/2 oz OJ, 1/w oz simple syrup, egg white, add all ingredients to a mixer, dry shake for 20 seconds, add ice, shake for another 10 seconds. strain into coupe glass, and garnish with a brandied cherry. Drink responsibly!

Another year another spooky season come and gone. We are ending October with a halloween classic, Hocus Pocus. This movie is so enjoyable and we recommend it to absolutely everyone. Starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy. Cheers!

Chaotic Cary Grant trying to cover for his serial killer aunts is the spooky screwball comedy we needed. this Frank Capra halloween classic is macabre fun at its finest. Starring Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane, Peter Lorre, Raymond Massey, Josephine Hull, and Jane Adair. Cheers!

We're discussing this poignant and timely story of one woman's experience living through political and cultural revolutions, immigration, and how someone's perspective of civil unrest changes as they grow up. This story is reflective and relevant as so many Iranian women continue to fight for their freedom today. We consider it required viewing! Welcome to animation nation! We're going to be spending a few episodes discussing some of the movies that we loved as kids, starting with the ultimate cartoon classic, Snow White. This is the movie that started it all. Grab yourself a perfectly curated jam cocktail (a Lydia Jordan creation) and listen in as we talk about Disney, the Brothers Grimm, and German Expressionism.
