A show about people with interesting hobbies or professions! Tune in twice a month (or every other week) to listen to a conversation with me and somebody new. The show is called "the Making Friends Podcast" because I like the idea of talking with someone about something they're passionate about, in an effort to become friends.

  1. Ep. 4: Nick K. & Rob P. (Podcast Producers) from The Making Friends Podcast, opens in a new tab

    May 10, 202156 min

On this episode of the Making Friends Podcast, I talk to Nick K. and Rob P. about their experience producing a podcast. I thought this would make an interesting episode because we discuss some of the woes about producing and publishing a podcast. This was my first time having a third guest on the podcast and I was pretty nervous about how it would turn out! I also talked to Nick about his business, which is how their podcast show came to be. Nick owns a marketing business and shares how he got started, who inspired him, and stories of his success. You can check out all of Nick's business links here . -------- Check out all of the Making Friends Podcast Links Here

  2. Ep. 3: Connor R. (Flight Instructor) from The Making Friends Podcast, opens in a new tab

    Apr 26, 20211 hr 7 min

Happy World's Pilot's Day! In celebration, on this episode of The Making Friends Podcast, I am joined by Connor R., who has been a Flight Instructor for the past five years, and has been flying for ten. I had a lot of fun asking Connor questions about his experience as a Pilot, and teaching others how to fly. We talked about how he got to be where he is today, a scary landing experience with a student, flying with dogs as passengers, what he would like to do in the future, and more. Connor also let me know that he does not judge me for applauding when an airplane lands. I feel safe... I feel seen. If you are on Long Island and are interested in learning how to fly, you can check out Nassau Flyers at: https://www.nassauflyers.com/ . Connor highly encourages listers who would like to learn how to fly to do so! It is not out of reach as it may seem, and every airport around you should have some sort of teaching program to be able to obtain a certificate. ----------------------------------------- Check out the video portion of the podcast here: YOUTUBE.COM/THEMAKINGFRIENDSPODCAST Check out Episode Highlights and more here: INSTAGRAM.COM/THEMAKINGFRIENDSPODCAST
