Hola foodies! Welcome to The Spanish food cult! On our very first episode we will be sharing our virtual table with Almudena Prada, “PRADA CHEF”. Almudena arrived to England to improve her English so she could become a Sports teacher in Spain. However, what she discovered in the UK was that what she wanted to be is a chef! Such a radical change, right? Almudena works currently as a tutor at a renowned hospitality college and has started her project, Prada chef, offering services as a private chef “to teach people to eat well, healthy, homemade and within budget”. We will talk about her values and experience as a human, chef and tutor and Almudena will tell us about a few funny incidents in the kitchen with her students. Take a sit at our table, prepare yourself some olives and a drink, and let’s enjoy this mouthwatering journey together!
Do you like Spanish food? If you are here now, listening, it is because you actually do! But what exactly do you know about Spanish food? Don´t worry if you only know that tapas, tortilla de patatas and jamon are delicious. What I would also like you to learn is what´s the origin of the tapas, or what´s the technique to prepare the perfect Spanish recipe of the potato omelet, or perhaps how many varieties of jamón exist and what are the differences. The Spanish food cult podcast will be a virtual place to meet with Spanish professionals from the food industry, (mostly based in the UK although it is not limited) who will take us through a journey in which we will discover and understand why the Spanish gastronomy has become one of the most important cuisines in the world and how they have worked hard to be part of such an outstanding project with their contribution and passion. We will have the opportunity to talk to chefs, jamón experts, olive oil experts, ingredients sourcers and we will learn more about the Spanish gastronomy through their stories, their experiences, their work. Take a sit at our table, prepare yourself some olives and a drink, and let´s enjoy this mouthwatering journey together.
