    Jan 19, 20262 hr 34 min

Here it is -- the final Stabby Stabby episode. But before it's all over, we're delivering one final Hugo Awards, celebrating our 5th year's worth of movies. 3. JAWS (1975): Farewell and Adieu

    Jan 12, 20261 hr 27 min

In this penultimate, special episode of Stabby Stabby , the boys are joined by old friend Moleman to finally tackle a movie we’ve referenced, revered, and maybe been a little afraid to cover for years: JAWS . With eviction looming, there’s time for one last VHS to pop into the VCR. What follows is a deep dive into a movie that has loomed large over everything we love about horror and film. Will the boys make it out of the molehole? Is the surface finally calling? Most importantly, thank you — our intrepid podcast audience — for sticking with us all these years. Your support, your messages, and your patience with our insanity have meant everything. One more stop after this: the Hugo Awards . Then… we wrap it up. We made this decision to concentrate our time and efforts on our new project: Greg's Cryptid Corner ! If you enjoy hanging out with us, subscribe to that show and join us as we discuss cryptids, folktales, aliens, hauntings, and whatever else Greg decides to teach us. And for movie fans, the spirit of Stabby Stabby will live on in Greg's Cryptid Corner as we intend to continue doing movie breakdowns for that show's growing Patreon community . We love you all. 4. The Lighthouse (2019): Don't ye like me lobster?

    Jan 5, 202658 min

Well, here we are, on episode 248 of Stabby Stabby and about to be thrown out of the movie hole. Today, the boys come to terms with the impending end of the podcast by continuing to watch their favorite movies. This week, Dan picks 2019's horror masterpiece The Lighthouse, sending them on a deranged, wet, slimy decent into madness and farts. Friends, it's true: Stabby Stabby will be winding down in a few weeks. We have some special surprises for long time listeners before we're done, so stick around! Next week we'll finally be tackling the movie we've mentioned more on this show than any other, and the final (?) episode of Stabby Stabby will be our annual Hugo Awards retrospective for 2025. That episode will be huge, covering not only 2025's outstanding slate of movies, but also looking back on the entire 5-year run of the show. So stick around! Help us celebrate the end of Stabby Stabby and the birth of something new and not-all-that-different-if-we're-being-honest-i-mean-really-we-kind-of-only-know-how-to-do-one-thing. We love you all. 5. The Return of the Living Dead (1985): All we need is braaaaiiiiinnnnnnsss

    Dec 29, 202551 min

Things are looking dire down in the Molehole, and while Eric's out looking for a new place to live, we decide to try to cheer Greg up by finally watching his favorite movie of all time, The Return of the Living Dead (1985)! We get down to talking about all the zombie tropes introduced in the film, show Tarman and Linnea Quigley a lot of love, turn an crematorium into a guy fryer, and discuss the sin of cooking steaks from frozen! Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY (949-478-2229) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday. 6. The Day of the Beast (1995): Oh Holy Crap!

    Dec 22, 202543 min

It's the most wonderful time of the year, but we get some bad news in the mole-mail! As we ponder our future, we try to lift our Christmas spirits by watching 1995's The Day of the Beast, a movie that involves the burning of homeless people, a quest to find the anti-Christ, and acid...a lot of acid. But hey, it takes place around Christmas, so it fits the theme! The lights are seeming a little bit dimmer for us this holiday, but we hope you all have a great Christmas! 7. Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989): Who wants a body, anyway

    Dec 15, 202543 min

Metal metal everywhere and not a drop inside my body cuz it's Tetsuo time. This week we're inspired by a new arm to finally dive into the 1989 classic experimental film Tetsuo: The Iron Man. Can we parse its mysteries? Actually, maybe yes! Maybe? But also we chat body horror, experimental film making, and mostly gush about how much we enjoyed this one. Our love will destroy the world! Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY (949-478-2229) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday. 8. The Night God Screamed (1971): A cult of personality

    Dec 8, 202544 min

The story so far: Trapped in an underground video store run by an anthropomorphic Mole Man, three men make the best of their situation... After Greg had his soul sucked into the body of a porcelain doll, the boys developed a plan to create a cult and siphon money from the gullible mole-people! But one of our mole-cultists sends a letter requesting us to watch The Night God Screamed (1971), so we do what the people want! So join us as we watch this semi-religious-cult/home invasion movie, and ignore most of it while discussing inflation, our favorite home invasion films, and 45-year-old teenagers! Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY (949-478-2229) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday. 9. Happy Birthday to Me (1981): Stabby birthday to Greg!

    Dec 1, 20251 hr 11 min

Guess what?! We missed Greg’s birthday—so he’s throwing his own party, and the celebration involves watching the 1981 Canadian slasher Happy Birthday to Me . This week we dig into what makes a giallo a giallo, the gore that got chopped from the final cut, our very classy English pubs, the surprising power of panties, and a spicy meat aphrodisiac. Stick around to see if Greg finally gets his birthday wish! Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY (949-478-2229) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday. 10. In My Skin (2002): Skin chips and pool bullies

    Nov 24, 202547 min

Hello! What a beautiful day. How would you like to ruin it by watching a New French Extreme film called In My Skin? I'm kidding, but yeah it's a doozy. This week, we break down the feminist body horror film and talk about the drudgery of work, the problem of finding self-worth in the eyes of someone else, and how sometimes society backs you into a corner by assigning you a role you can no longer tolerate sending you on a downward self-destructive spiral because if the world demands your body then you might as well enjoy it first one bite at a time. We also talk about French pool bullies and Dan saws his arm off at one point. Happy Monday! Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY (949-478-2229) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday. 11. The Strangeness (1985): Spelunksploitation

    Nov 17, 202542 min

The story so far: Trapped in an underground video store run by an anthropomorphic Mole Man, three men make the best of their situation... This week, we're looking for something dark, and nothing is darker than a movie that takes place in a cave with little-to-no lighting, so we check out The Strangeness from 1985! But we brave the darkness and discuss the films' positives and negatives, some history of the film, and our love of stop-motion monsters, while falling down tangent holes about sexual tension, the Lord of the Rings, cave tours, and the Discovery Channel! So throw on your headlamp and join us down the pit as we explore this movie! Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY (949-478-2229) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday. 12. A Zed & Two Noughts (1985): What's a few spermatozoa among brothers?

    Nov 10, 202558 min

The boys suit up for a cuddle party inside a custom-sewn pajama onesie crafted by Eric himself, and settle in to watch Peter Greenaway’s 1985 arthouse oddity A Zed and Two Noughts . Along the way, they wrestle with time-lapse photography of real decaying animals, an onslaught of wieners, porno–Wes Anderson–style symmetry, and some very horny snails. Not for the faint of heart—this one dives deep into some seriously heady, disturbing territory. But stick with it, trusted listeners… the weirdness just might be worth the ride. 13. Dolls (1987): Three men and a Sandbags

    Nov 3, 202547 min

The story so far: With Sellout October behind the boys, they settle into what they think will be a regular day, but little do they know that someone new is about to fall into their lives... Hello! You know dolls. The toys, I mean. Yeah, you do. Know who else knows them? Stuart Gordon, it turns out! This week, we watch Stuart Gordon's under-appreciated 1987 killer-toys fairy tale: Dolls. It's got killer teddy bears and evil parents and toy soldiers and punk nip slips and a witch and a man boy and man oh man the hits keep comin' and they don't stop comin' fed to the rules and we hit the ground runnin'. Come for the Gordon but stay for the boys' night time beauty routines. I'm so tired from eating candy this description barely makes sense. Oct 27, 202549 min

The story so far: After a year and a half underground, we've made it to the best time of the year! Sadly, we've hit the end of Sellout October 2025! During October, we watch mainstream horror movies that people have heard of before. And after trick-or-mole-treating around Mole City, we were gifted a film as a little treat, and it turned out to be The Monster Squad from 1987! It's a first time watch for one of us (can you guess who?!), and we bask in the glory of Stan Winston's amazing costumes, discuss the constant necessity of virgins in horror, talk way too much about foreskin, and just shower this movie with love! As Sellout October comes to an end, we hope you all have the spookiest of Halloweens!!! 19. Soul of the Demon (1991): Spooky seance delivery service

    Sep 22, 202538 min

The story so far: After spending this much time trapped in a small, underground VHS store, we need to find creative ways to choose movies. Sometimes life gets a bit dull and you need to rely on the supernatural to bring you joy, so we summon up a movie and check out another low-budget shot-on-video film, Soul of the Demon (1991)! During our discussion, we talk about Dan’s struggles with SOV, create a spooky delivery service, compare our past treasures from digging in the ground, and marvel over a few fantastic transitions in the film! Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY ( 949-478-2229 ) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday. 20. Punishment Park (1971): The one where we learn to get scared again

    Sep 15, 20251 hr 6 min

The story so far: After spending this much time trapped in a small, underground VHS rental store, Greg’s worried that he can’t feel any more. Welp. We recorded this a week ago and, yeah, the world’s only getting crazier. This week, we discuss the 1971 pseudo-documentary Punishment Park, a film that anticipates American fascism by pretending that due process is abandoned so that cops can take their rage out on minorities and activists. Sounds totally implausible, right? Right?? But don’t worry! If that all sounds too heavy we also find a way to keep from maulding too much (it involves a plastic whoopee cushion. Don’t worry about it, it’ll all make sense, just listen). Is it a masterful film that deserves every bit of our attention? Yes! Is it an incredibly difficult watch that will haunt us for months? Also yes! Enjoy? Leave us a 30 second voicemail and if we like it we’ll play it on the show: (949) 4-STABBY (949-478-2229) Next movie announced every Wednesday. New episodes every Monday.
