We suck at tributes, but we tried multiple times to honor the many celebrities who have died in the last 24 hours. Dolly Parton's idol growing up was the town tramp, grew up so poor her dad had to pay the doctor in cornmeal when she was born, and she once said 'I’m comfortable in my own skin no matter how far I’ve stretched it." Now that's a woman! RIP to the best to ever do it. Later in the show we found out that Tim Curry died at 80 years old, which makes it one of the worst days ever for the gays. Who's next, Ru Paul!? Ally has a 'Hall Pass' this weekend to sleep with any celebrity on the A-C list, which prompted Klein to challenge listeners to present us with the biggest celebrity they know. Now Ally could be sleeping with Patton Oswalt, The Black Power Ranger, or Dewey's stunt double from Malcolm in the Middle. Her wife was on the line approving/nixing every pitch. We also went deeper into Jake's love life (gross), and discovered Jake has already asked the girl he's dating to be his girlfriend. We explicitly told him NOT to do this, but of course he didn't listen and the interaction was awkward to say the least (she didn't say yes.)
The Dank Tank is back! Listeners unleashed their most original weed-inspired “high-deas,” including Weedmo (Waymo, but for weed), butter-flavored chapstick, and a build-your-own canoe concept that may or may not have involved getting extremely high. Then we brought back 10 Seconds of Rage, giving listeners exactly 10 seconds to unleash their frustrations, and unsurprisingly, the never-ending heat wave gave everyone PLENTY to rage about. Plus, we met Rob the Blob, a man who allegedly weighs more than 700 pounds, never leaves his house, and desperately wants to make it to our Endless Summer Kegger in Newport. The only problem? Getting him there may require a crane, a construction crew, and possibly a full municipal infrastructure project. But hey… is it worth it? And finally, we welcomed our first set of twins to Old People Secrets as they revealed their secrets to living a long life.
Happy Kobe Day to all who celebrate! The show kicked off with Ally sharing that she had a 'snoregasm' last night, meaning she had an orgasm in her sleep. All that pregnancy bloodflow has its perks! Vanessa was all out of sorts this morning as she dealt with a power outage last night. She seems to think spending the evening with a flashlight and a spray bottle should count as camping for her Funner Summer challenge. This is BS, right? We did a round of Never Have I Ever for tickets to our Endless Summer Kegger. We heard from people who had shockingly never done very basic things like ride a bicycle, eat chipotle, get drunk or travel on an airplane. The clear winner was a guy named Joseph who had never been to a concert OR a bar because he's been in prison for the last 12 years. If you see him at the kegger, help him have the best night of his life! Plus some fascinating new guidelines around cheating that had us all in a heated debate: is it cheating to send someone a heart emoji?
