It's WEDDING SZN and the penultimate Believe It! episode. The gang gears up to get gifts for Naruto and Hinata, and Shikamaru's bonus story ends (literally who cares get lost shadow man).

This week we're diving into the Shikamaru story, and boy, they really don't know how to write ninja stuff on this show! Points for trying, I guess? Liam encourages guerilla warfare, we discuss why Naruto looks like a knockoff Eminem, Kakashi got fat :(

It's time for a Sasuke solo arc (boo, hiss) involving kekkei genkai, secret islands, and a girl who looks like a child but is definitely for sure older than you, actually. We also discuss modern art, and Liam has a late lunch.

It’s done. We have effectively completed the plot of Naruto. Somehow still not done the show though. The two boys wrestle, Kt’s prophecy comes true, we get ready for our victory lap in the last few weeks of the show.

Actually a lot of conversation about Naruto this week, because Sasuke has gone maybe more insane than ever before. Also, Obito in heaven (EMOTIONAL NOT CLICKBAIT). We watch the greatest episode of Naruto and clutch desperately onto the happiness it brings. Obito gets done dirty by the dub one last time. Lots of real traditional values explored this week: the importance of the family unit, Catholicism, kind deeds. Kishimoto is determined to rob us of all our money and all our joy. We meet another Jesus Christ figure and he's the Christiest one yet. The Sage of the Six Paths clearly has a favourite son, and we reveal a new character in the Believe It! Podcast Universe (BIPU). Liam has to sit down and watch all four episodes and feels vindicated because he hated Naruto before it was cool. Thanks for the breakfast sandwiches, Liam. We are happy to learn Kaguya’s backstory (she has some good points) and talk about it this week when we are in fact 40 episodes from the end of the entire series Meanwhile in a brief glimpse of canon, Sasuke is in hell and Naruto debuts a new move: Reverse Harem Jutsu. Naturally, in response, we discuss the fuckability of aliens, mythical creatures, and ancient civilizations. If you want us to watch Boruto you’d better take a page from our book and try to manifest some wealth rq because this podcast is almost over and we are NOT loving the moon people. Some real Plot is happening in Shippuden now that there's 40 episodes left. Luckily, we have Kishimoto on the show this week to chat about why he made some of these special authorial decisions. We've finally been introduced to the real Big Bad Guy, so we have some thoughts about past villains in Naruto and the chain of command that they follow and who is actually awesome and who we wish the best for in Boruto. Jiraiya novel is OVER, Itachi light novel is NOW (after we quickly resolve some infinite tsukuyomi stuff for the rest of the cast) Orochimaru imparts some of his classic wisdom on a really young child. Naruto and Sasuke fight at the Final Valley, Deidara is feeling underappreciated in his time so he drops a bomb -- MOST IMPORTANTLY we invent a new game for house parties this holiday season enjoy!!!

Finally, like every good Uchiha boy, Sasuke becomes a cop. This gives us a lot to consider. Why's he *like that* in every universe? Maybe Kages should have term limits. Maybe Sakura was right to keep her abilities a secret this whole time. Maybe Orochimaru would have written this all differently. Liam: game designer, sommelier, hangover king. Kt is in the business of teen shoutouts. Duncan sure did go to arts school.

In Naruto this week, we wrap up? the first? half? of the Jiraiya YA fanfiction arc. The Sasori 100 puppets fight happens again in this universe. The Masked Man is revealed to be Neji's father, and a village gets blown up. You're definitely following the plot and all of these words make sense to you, right? Anyway, we do more Dan slander while Tsunade gets drunk, unpack some more dreamworld perceptions, and discuss a completely hypothetical jacket theft. We enter a fresh new filler hell because this arc is 18 EPISODES LONG, SURPRISE!!! If the show is allowed to imagine whatever they want for this long then we can do chalkra talkra and pretend the Sannin and Dan are at a house party and make excellent jokes about Joe Biden fighting the resurrected former presidents. I'm gonna be honest, there's a lot of Dream talk in this one. Yeah that's capital D Dream the Minecraft YouTuber, as in the guy who got absolutely cooked by Gumball in an Uber and released a video of it the day before we got together for this recording session.
