CC and Oliwer headed to Helsingborg for Brewskival 2026 – three days filled with great beer, familiar faces, new friendships and conversations with brewers from around the world. In this special festival episode, they sit down with the people behind RYGR Brygghús , Varvar Brew , Monkey Brew , Pühaste and Good Word Brewing to talk about their breweries, their beers and what brought them to Helsingborg. And, of course, no visit to Brewskival would be complete without a conversation with the man behind the festival and the owner of Brewski – The Great Human Project , Marcus Hjalmarsson. Sadly, CC’s microphone decided not to cooperate during that interview, so we apologise for the sound quality. But it’s Marcus we want to hear, right? In this episode of Beer Bubbles , CC sits down with Martin Sunesson from Subbe Bryggeri , a small-scale brewery with a big personality, located just outside Varberg on Sweden's west coast. Martin talks about the philosophy behind Subbe Bryggeri, where clean flavours, craftsmanship and approachable beer are at the heart of what they do. Based at Johnssons Gård, surrounded by other local artisans, Subbe has set out to create not just great beer, but the kind of warm and welcoming beer culture that reflects life on the west coast of Sweden. CC and Martin talk brewing, inspiration and what goes into building a brewery with a strong sense of place and identity – from the beers themselves to the story behind the name Subbe and the lighthouse that has guided sailors and surfers along the Varberg coast since 1934. Whether you're interested in Swedish craft beer, the people behind it, or simply enjoy hearing the stories that turn a brewery into something more than tanks and taps, this is a conversation well worth joining. Agostino Arioli joined Oliwer in Stockholm for a conversation about the road from curious homebrewer to one of the world's most influential brewers. Together they explore the 30+ years of history behind Birrificio Italiano , the creation of the iconic Tipopils, and the mindset that has guided Agostino for decades. Some conversations are different when you've known the person sitting across from you for more than 20 years. In this episode, I sit down with my longtime friend David "Dake" Isberg. While many know him as the founder and original vocalist of Opeth, there's so much more to his story than most people realize. Over the years, Dake has evolved through different chapters of life—from music and the early days of the Swedish metal scene to becoming an author, a sommelier, a spoeksman for Craft Beer and a creative force in many different fields. What has always remained the same is his curiosity, passion, and unique perspective on life. This conversation goes far beyond music. We talk about creativity, friendship, books, beers, personal growth, and the experiences that shape us over time. When you've known someone for two decades, the conversation naturally becomes less of an interview and more of an honest exchange between friends. There are stories, reflections, plenty of laughs, and a few moments that only come from sharing a long history together. I'm excited to share this conversation with all of you. Welcome to my conversation with David "Dake" Isberg. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Oliwer’s first “All Alone” interview features Calle Nygren from Åre Bryggcompagni. In this episode, Oliwer and Calle talk about a range of topics, including the relationship between Parkvillan, Åre Bryggcafé, and Åre Bryggcompagni, and why competing was never really their thing. They also dive into Calle’s story, the local beer scene, and one big question: What would be Calle’s final beer? Listen to the episode to find out. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. Some beer conversations stay with you long after they've ended. This is one of them. For this episode of Beer Bubbles Podcast, CC sat down with Alex Lippens and Jens Tack from tVerzet at Pressklubben in Stockholm. Together, they explored the story of a brewery that keeps one foot firmly planted in Belgian brewing tradition while happily using the other to kick at convention. Alex and Jens talk about their love of classic Oud Bruin, the beers and brewers that inspired them, and how tVerzet grew from a passion project into one of Belgium's most distinctive breweries. Deeply respectful of brewing heritage but never afraid to challenge expectations, they embody the spirit behind their brewery's name: Verzet — Resistance. The conversation covers where they started, how the brewery has evolved, and what it means to brew in Belgium while refusing to be constrained by what Belgian beer is supposed to be. And, of course, CC asks the ultimate question: The Grim Reaper is here. Today is your last day. You may have one final beer before you go. Any beer, in production or out of production. What will it be? The answers are as revealing as they are memorable. Grab a beer, settle in, and join CC, Alex, and Jens for a conversation about brewing, tradition, rebellion, friendship, and the beers worth remembering until the very end. #BeerBubbles #tVerzet #BelgianBeer #CraftBeer #OudBruin #BeerPodcast #DrinkBetterBeer Hosted on Acast.
