On this week's edition of the podcast Peter and Ronan sit down to take stock on what a glorious fortnight for Irish golf it has been and for the county of Clare after Lahinch and Doonbeg were the stage for two famous days. Shane Lowry rewrote the narrative of his season with a clinical thumping display of front running as he pummelled the field into submission to win his second Irish Open and his first victory since 2022. Just south in The Netherlands, Leona Maguire also changed the fortunes of her year as she played a key role in helping Europe win back the Solheim Cup with a thrilling win over the USA. The touch paper was lit though by one of sport's greatest comebacks as GB&I downed the USA in Lahinch for their first triumph since 2015.

Peter and Ronan (fresh from Birkdale) are back in studio to review Ryan Fox's Open Championship victory. The New Zealander joined Michael Campbell and Bob Charles in earning a men's major victory with a thoroughly impressive display on the back nine where he reached out and grabbed the Claret Jug with both hands with four birdies in his last six holes and two in his last three. On a day where the major championship scoring record was equalled twice, day two of the Open Championship was all about Bryson DeChambeau who was assessed a two shot penalty for inadvertently improving his lie on the fifth. That caused a debacle not seen for many a year and it remains to be seen whether the American will tee it up tomorrow. This was all happening as David Howard narrowly missed out on making the cut and winning the silver medal as Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy remained on the fringes of contention heading into the weekend.

The lads only do good news and Peter and Ronan are back in the saddle to wax lyrical about Stuart Grehan's Amateur Championship success at Hoylake over the weekend. The Tullamore native from County Louth GC became only the ninth Irishman to win the championship and in doing so books his spot in next month's Open Championship and next year's Masters and US Open while also cementing his Walker Cup place for Lahinch in September. On this week's edition of the podcast Ronan is joined by Flogas Irish Amateur Open champion Patrick Keeling after he clinched his maiden championship at Seapoint Golf Links a fortnight ago. The Roganstown star sat down to talk through his win and dove deep into how finding faith in Christ has helped him not just on the course but in everyday life. Keeling reveals how his belief in Jesus has given him greater clarity on the golf course and has relieved some of the pressures he once felt when he went to college in the US and now he has full belief that more good results will come and he can build on his Irish Amateur victory.

Ronan takes the mic and he is joined by Managing Director of Flogas, John Rooney, Flogas ambassador and current Legends Tour player Gary Murphy and Seapoint's very own Dylan Keating who is looking to become a home winner this week. The golf course looks in spectacular condition as the players go through their final preparations while we discuss the championship ahead and have a broader look at amateur golf with some huge events on the calendar this year.

There was a lot to pack in after two weeks which saw Ronan take in his first Masters and deliver an Irish winner in Rory McIlroy. There was no sense of a lull after the first major of the year as the golf news space was rife with rumours of LIV Golf's demise. Peter and Ronan dive into Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and where LIV Golf goes from here after bizarre reports that PIF was going to pull funding for the Saudi-backed Tour.

Ronan dials in from Augusta National as he and Peter wax lyrical about Rory McIlroy's 36-hole performance which has given him the largest Masters lead at this stage in history. A blistering four closing birdies and six birdies in seven holes on the back nine have Rory six shots clear on twelve-under after a 65. All the stats point towards it being done. But can a certain Shane Lowry maintain his challenge? Ronan also goes through everything he has seen over the two days, including his favourite pint of choice and tasty treats.

From storm Dave, US Border Control and then a hotel fire, Ronan has had quite the year trying to get to the Masters. He has finally made it and jumps on a call with Pete to go through his experience so far and everything he has seen at Augusta National on Monday and Tuesday.

Gary Woodland produced the comeback story of the season with his sensational and inspirational win at the Texas Children's Houston Open for his first win since 2019 and his first win since coming back to the PGA Tour after brain surgery. Unfortunately, his exploits were overshadowed by the antics of Tiger Woods who is in the limelight for all the wrong reasons after being charged with another DUI offence in Florida. Meanwhile, the clocks have sprung forward in Ireland meaning it is championship season. First up is the West of Ireland and we have a full preview in the second half of the podcast.

With Charley Hull, the latest star name to be added to the 2026 KPMG Women's Irish Open at The K Club, Peter sat down with Tournament Director Cian Branagan to discuss how the event has grown and its big plans for the future.

On this week's edition of the podcast, Peter and Ronan reflect on a Players Championship that simmered for a long time before boiling over in dramatic fashion as Cameron Young held off Matt Fitzpatrick after both players found themselves in a heavyweight battle down the stretch as Ludvig Åberg fell away on the back nine. Rory McIlroy played all four rounds at TPC Sawgrass as did Séamus Power while Shane Lowry went home on Friday. McIlroy was quick to ease fears over a back twinge which prevented him from playing a practice round and he is open to the idea of adding one more event to his pre-Masters diary.

On this week's edition of the podcast, Peter and Ronan react to the PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp's state of the nation address ahead of the Players Championship. Rolapp announced six key pillars as part of the changes he would like to implement on the PGA Tour going forward, which include a promotion and relegation element. At the time of recording, Rory McIlroy is expected to tee it up for round one of the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass but he is taking it hour by hour as he recovers from a niggling back injury which forced him out of last weekend at Bay Hill and the first two practice days this week. Shane Lowry is in the field as is Seamus Power who was a late entry from the reserve list.
