  1. Cash Flow Basics: Your Business Account Is Not Your Wallet from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Sep 13, 202613 min

A big revenue month can still mean a broke business. This episode is about the cash flow management shift that stops you seeing a healthy bank balance and assuming you’ve got spending money, because that money already has jobs waiting for it. You’ll hear why revenue is only the starting point, and why your business account needs to be treated like its own entity with real responsibilities attached. We’ll also unpack the stress that comes from leaving everything in one account, then trying to work out what’s available, what’s committed, and what belongs to the ATO. I walk you through my simple three-bucket method, including how I separate daily expenses, tax, and profit, and why this system makes business cash flow feel clearer almost immediately. You’ll also hear the mindset shift behind creating profit intentionally, even when you’re starting small. We finish with a practical weekly money check-in that keeps you calm and in control, plus a few questions to ask yourself the next time money lands in your account. If you’ve been winging it and hoping there’s enough left when BAS rolls around, this will help you get a plan in place without making it complicated. 2. Should You Be Friends With Clients? Boundaries, Trust, And Real Relationships from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Sep 6, 202611 min

Somewhere along the way, a lot of women end up running their business like a corporate job they never even wanted. You sit at the desk because you think you should, you wait for “lunchtime” to eat, and you feel weird about going for a walk at 2pm, even when the work is done. Mixing business and personal is the focus in this episode. It’s clear to me that the old rules around “professionalism” often don’t fit the way we run businesses today. I’m sharing the corporate rule book I grew up with, and how I accidentally brought it into my own business without questioning it. Then I’ll walk you through what changed when I started rewriting the rules, building a schedule that suits my energy, and letting business relationships be real. Boundaries matter, but boundaries do not have to mean walls, and you can take your business seriously without taking yourself too seriously. Should you be friends with clients, are you “allowed” to work differently and what does it mean to run a business on your own terms with your own boundaries. At the end, I’ll give you a set of questions to help you spot the rules you’re following on autopilot, and choose what stays. 3. What Are You Actually Paying Your Business Coach For from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Aug 30, 202618 min

If you've ever looked at a coaching fee and immediately divided it by the number of sessions, you're not alone. It's the most common pricing question I hear, and it's also the one that misses the point. Today I’m taking a look at what you're really paying for when you hire a business coach (or any expert). Because the hour you can see is rarely the product. The product is the thinking, the context, the preparation, the follow-up, and the experience that sits behind it. I share a real example of a client who needed help fast, and how I spent hours inside their numbers before our first official session even happened. That's the work. It's why I cap one-on-one clients, and it's why how many sessions do I get? is such a boring question. If you sell your expertise, this episode will help you stop pricing the visible hour and start valuing the invisible work, access, and judgment your clients are actually buying. 4. Successful Women Need More Joy In Business - Not Productivity from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Aug 23, 202613 min

What do blindfolded bowling, ding dong ditch, and someone suggesting “murder in the dark” have to do with business? Absolutely nothing, and also everything. What I noticed after our Thriving Women retreat earlier this month made it clear: the moments of laughter didn’t distract us from the work. They prepared us for it. The energy shifted, creativity lifted, and women who carry huge responsibility looked lighter. Somewhere along the line, especially as women, we lose permission to play. Everything has to be productive, measured, and “worth it”. We tell ourselves we’ll have fun after the launch, after tax time, after the busy season, after the next goal. But joy isn’t the reward at the end. It’s fuel. So this week, ask yourself: what could you do today that would make you smile, even for three minutes? 5. Kajabi vs GoHighLevel for Business Coaches from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Aug 17, 202618 min

Kajabi looks simple. GoHighLevel looks powerful. But the real question is which one will actually help you grow your business at the stage you are in. Today I’m walking you through the five questions you need to ask before choosing any platform, so you stop buying software because it is shiny and start choosing it because it solves a real problem. I mention replacing multiple tools, avoiding a growing tech stack, factoring in the real cost of outsourcing, and why customer support matters more than most people realise. Then we get practical about Kajabi vs. GoHighLevel, including pricing, CRM pipelines, email marketing, funnels, automations, booking and calendars, and why GoHighLevel is often white-labelled under other names. I also share what we loved about Kajabi, what frustrated us, and why we ultimately moved to our GoHighLevel version, Automate Digital. If you are trying to decide between Kajabi vs GoHighLevel, know that software will come and go, but your ability to make clear, intentional decisions is what actually grows your business. 6. My Coaching Business Tech Stack: GoHighLevel, Marco Polo + More from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Aug 9, 202618 min

I’ve spent nine years migrating systems, paying for consultants, and chasing shiny dashboards, only to learn one simple truth. There is no magical platform that builds a profitable, stress free business for you. Software does not build businesses. Business owners do. The best tools for coaching business owners simply remove friction from the things you were already committed to doing. In this episode, I share the best tools for coaching business owners who want more structure, less mental load, and better support systems for their clients. We talk about GoHighLevel for pipeline and simplification, Marco Polo for real time coaching support, BigVU for showing up on camera with confidence, Virtually Myself for capturing and protecting your intellectual property, and Tide for focus and CEO time. If you are tired of migrating and want to simplify, this is your reminder to choose something good enough, learn it properly, and get back to the work that actually moves the needle. 7. Client Wants a Discount Mid-Contract: What’s the Best Move? from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Aug 2, 20267 min

A client asking for a discount mid contract can feel like a punch in the gut. Your brain goes straight to value, rejection, and worst-case scenarios, even when the work is solid and the relationship is good. In this episode, I share a real story from a digital marketing agency owner whose client asked to lower her monthly price by two-thirds halfway through a three month engagement. The surprising part is that he was not unhappy and the results were not the issue. I take a look at what to do when a client wants to lower their investment, how to stop taking it personally and how to get curious about what is really driving the request. Often it is cash flow and timing, not a lack of trust or a lack of value. You will hear the three options you have in this situation, and why restructuring payments can sometimes protect your scope, your revenue, and the relationship at the same time. 8. The Real Reason You Get Ghosted After Sales Calls from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Jul 26, 202616 min

If your sales calls feel warm and promising, but the follow-up dies in the inbox, this episode will hit a nerve. We’re talking about the sneaky gap between “that was such a great chat” and “why did they disappear?”, and why it’s rarely your offer, your price, or your personality. Most of the time, it’s simpler than that. The call had no structure, so nothing moved forward. You’ll hear a repeatable way to run a clarity or discovery call that still feels human, but actually goes somewhere. We cover how to choose one clear offer before you even jump on the call, how to anchor the conversation in the client’s transformation (not your list of deliverables), and how to lead without dominating the airtime. It’s about listening properly, reflecting what you’re hearing, and earning the right to present a solution that fits. We’ll also get into the moment most people talk themselves out of the sale, how to hold your nerve when it’s time to make the offer, and why pricing should match the outcome, not the clock. Then we finish where money often leaks: the next step. Not vague “let’s stay in touch” energy, but a clear, kind, time-bound close that keeps momentum alive. 9. Struggling to Find Clients? You Already Have the Answer from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Jul 19, 202612 min

A quiet week in business can mess with your head fast. One minute you’re fine, the next you’re wondering how to get more clients and whether you need to change everything. In this episode, I’m sharing a simple metaphor that brings you back to strategy, not panic: turn on the tap. Every business has a “tap”, a handful of actions that reliably create opportunities when you actually do them. The problem is we forget, we get busy, and we start chasing shiny new tactics instead of switching back on what already works. You’ll hear the four taps I look for first: relationship taps, visibility taps, invitation taps, and generosity taps. Plus, I’ll walk you through how to create your own “tap map” so you always know what to do next when things slow down. If you’re ready to stop reinventing the business every time it goes quiet, this is your reset. Pick one tap, turn it on this week, and build momentum from there. 10. You Aren’t Bad at Sales. Your Process Is from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Jul 12, 202611 min

You don’t need longer sales conversations. You just need a cleaner process. In this episode, I share a little story about a 15-minute coaching conversation that completely turned a client's business trajectory around. If you’ve ever had a few inquiries fall through and immediately concluded you’re just "terrible at sales," this is your permission slip to stop overcomplicating things. We dive deep into why you don't need longer sales conversations. Nobody wants to sit there for an hour - you just need them to be cleaner. I break down the common process traps that keep service providers stuck in information overload, distracted in the "cracks" of their day, and losing out on dream clients. You'll learn how to switch from phone calls to high-trust Zoom connections, why structure always beats pure instinct and how to execute a thoughtful, human follow-up process that converts without the "ick". Before you go redesigning your offers or changing your prices, let's look at the actual evidence and clean up your conversations. 11. Why Pitch Slapping is Killing Your Referrals from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Jul 5, 202612 min

Want more referrals in your business? Let's start with basic manners. Before you roll your eyes, this isn’t an etiquette lesson, it’s about why skipping the relationship building in business is quietly eroding your growth and giving your network the ick. In this episode, I share two recent experiences that made me pause and realise how common it has become to confuse digital access with a genuine relationship. In an era dominated by AI, cold funnels, and automated messages, true relationships are a competitive advantage because they are the one thing that can't be replicated. I discuss why familiarity should breed thoughtfulness rather than assumptions, the dangers of letting your personal urgency dictate your manners, and the three simple filters you need to run your communication through before hitting send. If you want a business built on long-term trust, sustainable referrals, and real revenue, it’s time to put relationships first and opportunities second. 12. How to Build Consistent Sales: The 3-2-1 Rhythm from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Jun 28, 202617 min

If your sales feel like a feast and famine cycle, you’re not broken. You’re just relying on bursts of effort instead of a rhythm you can keep when you’re busy, and that’s why the panic months keep showing up. In this episode, I’m sharing the simple daily framework I use to build consistent sales without burning out. It’s called the 3-2-1 rhythm, and it’s designed for real business owners who are juggling delivery, clients, and a life. We’ll break down what counts as a reach out, why follow ups are where most money gets left on the table, and how one simple post keeps you visible without turning you into a content machine. The goal is not intensity; it’s repetition that compounds. If you want a pipeline that stays warm even when you’re flat out, this will give you a clean place to start. Try it for two weeks and tell me what shifts for you. 13. How to give clear feedback as a leader from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    Jun 21, 202623 min

Are you staying nice on the outside while fuming on the inside? In this episode, I help you understand how to give clear feedback as a leader without causing a massive blowout or hurting someone's feelings. Most leadership friction in growing businesses isn’t a strategy problem; it’s an avoidance problem. I give you some advice on how to ditch the outdated "feedback sandwich" and replace it with a powerful, fact-based framework called SBI (Situation, Behaviour, Impact). You will learn how to manage the emotional stories in your head, check your true intent, and approach your team with curiosity instead of reaction. I also give you some neuroscience hacks to create a brain-friendly space so your message actually lands instead of sending your team into defence mode. Stop waiting for your team to "just know" the boundaries and start leading with clear, respectful communication that builds trust and drives business growth. Jun 14, 202619 min

If you’ve been told to post more, show up more, and be everywhere, this episode is your permission slip to stop treating visibility like the goal. Visibility matters, especially early, but if you’re still hustling for every sale years in, it starts to feel like a treadmill that never switches off. We unpack the shift from visibility to positioning using a simple lighthouse test, plus a real example of what it looks like when a buyer arrives already warm, already trusting you, and basically already sold. No chasing, no convincing, no heavy lifting. You’ll hear the core building blocks that move you from being seen to being chosen, and the mindset shift that makes it stick. If sales feels harder than it should, or you keep attracting the wrong clients, this will help you figure out what’s actually going on and where to start. Jun 7, 202629 min

If you’re burnt out as a leader, it’s probably not because you’re lazy or disorganised. It’s because you keep picking up “monkeys” that were never yours to carry, and you’ve slowly become the bottleneck while everyone else clocks out at 5. If you've been trying to figure out how to delegate without losing control or feeling like you're abandoning your team, this is for you. In this episode, I share the simple question that changes everything, plus the mindset shift that stops you rescuing and teaches you how to delegate effectively . It’s about keeping ownership where it belongs, while still supporting your team with clarity and rhythm so things actually move. We also talk about why being clear is kind, and how unclear expectations ruin your ability to learn how to delegate successfully , creating frustration, performance issues, and awkward conversations later. You’ll hear what intentional leadership looks like in real life, including the regular conversations that prevent surprises and help your team grow without drama. 16. Why Growing Your Business Feels So Chaotic from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    May 31, 202620 min

If you’re somewhere between $100k and $500k in revenue and thinking, “Why does this feel harder now?”, welcome to the messy middle of business. You’re not in the startup phase anymore, but you’re also not running a calm, well oiled machine. Things are working… but they’re also not working. In this season, the chaos isn’t a sign you’re failing. It’s feedback. More clients, more moving parts, more expectations, and suddenly the cracks show. You drop balls, your calendar becomes a mess, and the old strategies that used to work stop feeling reliable. We’ll talk about the sneaky pipeline drought that hits right after a strong quarter, why undercharging becomes obvious in this phase, and how “doing everything yourself” turns into the biggest bottleneck. This is also where mindset matters, because growth can mess with your confidence even when revenue is rising. If you’re in the messy middle of business, here are your next steps: keep the pipeline warm, price for outcomes, delegate one draining task, and know your numbers (profit, not just revenue). The messy middle isn’t permanent, but it does require a new way of operating. Mentioned in this episode: Tracey Rudich - Intimo - Instagram Tracey Rudich - Intimo - Instagram

  17. How to Avoid Making a Bad Hire from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    May 24, 202628 min

Hiring is one of those business milestones that sounds simple until you’re the one doing it, and because most of us aren’t hiring every week, it’s easy to second guess yourself, delay it, or rush it when you’re already exhausted. In this episode, we’re talking about why so many women put hiring off for too long, what hiring fear really looks like in a growing business, and why “I’ll just keep doing it myself” quietly becomes the most expensive option. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from sitting on every side of the hiring table, from recruiter to HR Director to coach, and the patterns I see over and over when business owners start hiring. We’ll unpack the real cost of a bad hire (it’s not just money), and why messy hiring decisions tend to leak into your time, your energy, your confidence, and your team. You’ll also hear the simple hiring framework I come back to when I want hiring to feel calm and commercial: getting clear on what to delegate, writing a position description that actually attracts the right person, hiring for skill and will, and building a basic interview process and onboarding plan so you’re not winging it. If hiring has been sitting on your to do list for months, this is your nudge to stop overthinking and start getting clear. 18. How Successful Entrepreneurs Escape The Productivity Trap from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    May 17, 202619 min

Ever feel like you’re sprinting through the week, ticking every box, and still going nowhere? This episode is for the high-performing business women who are doing a lot, moving fast, and quietly feeling flat. This year I picked a word: intentional. Which sounds simple, until you realise it means slowing down long enough to hear yourself think, and pausing before you say yes just because you can. I’m sharing what I’m practising instead, like tiny moments of silence between meetings, quiet walks and sleeping on decisions so I stop reacting at lightning speed. It has changed how I lead my business. If you’ve been wondering how to escape the productivity trap, take one small step this week. Create one pocket of space, even five minutes, and notice what changes. Not in your to do list, in you. 19. Why your Business Plan Keeps Falling Apart from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    May 10, 202621 min

This one’s for the business owners who keep buying the blueprint. The “proven” content plan or the foolproof sales script. The morning routine that apparently turns you into a millionaire by Thursday. You see it work for someone else and you think, cool, I’ll just do that. Easy. Except you try it and it feels like you’re wearing shoes that don’t fit. They look great on, and you technically can walk in them, but every step is uncomfortable, forced, and annoying. I’m sharing a few simple client examples that show how one small change in process can make content feel easy and sound like you again, plus how to use “forced vs flow” as data instead of a reason to beat yourself up. We’ll also unpack the sneaky danger of business “shoulds” and why doing less can sometimes create more traction. Listen in, then ask yourself this. What are you doing because it’s proven, even though it doesn’t suit you? And what would change if you gave yourself permission to do it your way instead? 20. Your Mental Health is Your Business from Tea with the Queen, opens in a new tab

    May 3, 202613 min

This one’s personal. A “minor” ankle injury forced me to stop, and I didn’t realise how much I rely on my regulators (walking and running) to keep steady until it was suddenly gone. While I was benched, I also had a routine skin check, and it brought up more emotion than I expected after last year’s melanoma. I told myself it was fine, filed it away, and kept going. Then I jumped on a call with Serena, my sister and business manager, and one simple question opened the floodgates. In this episode, I’m talking about what happens when your “regulator” gets taken away, why stress can stack up quietly until you feel flat and heavy, and how to find your way back without needing some big dramatic reset. I’ll also give you a few questions to help you spot your early warning signs, protect the thing that keeps you well, and make sure you’ve got someone in your corner who won’t let “I’m fine” be the end of the conversation.
