A melancholy film while also surprisingly funny, this is easily one of Elijah's best films of the '90s!

This week, Elijah Wood stars alongside Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis in one of the very first screenplays written by J.J. Abrams, 1992's FOREVER YOUNG! Gibson is a pre-World War II fighter pilot who gets cryogenically frozen and wakes up in the '90s, where he befriends Elijah Wood and goes on a journey to return to the one he loves!

It's time for Mike Smith's annual Birthday By-Law episode! This year, he's finally getting around to a movie he really should have seen by now: 2005's THE BAXTER, written, directed by, and starring Michael Showalter. He and Mike D talk about the movie and Smith's lifelong obsession with the work of Showalter and David Wain!

This week, Eilijah Wood stars as an imaginary friend named Day-O in a TV movie called... DAY-O! Also starring Delta Burke, Charles Shaughnessy, and Fred Thompson, and boldy staking their claim to Harry Belafonte's classic song a couple of years after BEETLEJUICE cemented it in a cinematic classic.

This week, Elijah Wood co-stars with JURASSIC PARK's Joe Mazzello in 1992's RADIO FLYER! Directed by Richard Donner, from the writer of THE SANDLOT, and also featuring Lorraine Bracco, Adam Baldwin, John Heard, and an uncredited Tom Hanks, it's a film that mixes flights of fantasy with realistic depictions of incredibly dark subject matter. Nicolas Cage is now starring in his very first TV series, a pseudo-spinoff of SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE in which he brings the character of Spider-Man Noir from animation to live-action. The full season is available now, and the Mikes have thoughts on the first two episodes!

Director Barry Levinson directed some of the biggest films of the '80s, and he followed up his Oscar-winning hit RAIN MAN with a semi-autobiographical tale about an immigrant family assimilating into life in America. And since Elijah Wood is in it, it's time for Mike and Mike to talk about AVALON!
