To practice Mindfulness while you are chanting, use the chanting prayer as your Base and observe the mind that wanders off, recognize it and bring it back to the Base. Don’t worry about the sensations yet – the main thing is to observe the mind that strays. Then bring it back to the Base. Continue with Effort until the mind no longer wanders off but stays relaxed at the Base.
