Taking it back to the brokenhearted, and how maybe that is the only path to meet and encounter the Divine. The door to something unconditional requires a heart that is completely broken. Enjoy :)
A conversation how Alzheimer's taught Marilyn how to love, how to receive love, and the beauty that life holds when we embrace this simpler life. She talks how she despised that she was the "chosen one" to be her mother's caregiver, yet how it changed her life. She wishes everyone could experience this, so she wrote a book so they could through her journey!! Enjoy the conversation :) "Marilyn Raichle, founder of The Art of Alzheimer’s and Executive Director of Maude’s Awards for Innovation in Alzheimer’s Care. Marilyn's mother, Jean McFee Raichle, like many people in her family, lived with Alzheimer’s in her 80’s. The other perspective is that of Jean herself, who, through her vibrant and intriguing paintings, tells a story of creativity and community, one that has already touched and inspired thousands of families facing similar challenges." Just some morning thoughts...
Saving Abigail is a true story about a little girl taken hostage by Hamas the morning of October 7, 2023, after thousands of terrorists breached Israel by land, sea, and air. That day, Hamas slaughtered 1,200 men, women, and children, and 246 innocent people were dragged across the border into Gaza against their will. Among them was three-year-old Abigail Mor Edan. Shanelle interviews Abigail's great aunt, Liz Hirsh Naftali, who advocated for the Hostage Families, and is the author of 'Saving Abigail'. "Right now I can hear God laughin' Guess he must have heard my plans and my hopes, thought it was a joke, Gave me more than I could ask... I wish I knew back then there's no perfect in life." Brett Young (feat. Gavin DeGraw) 'Chapters' ________ "You didn't even try to navigate your emotions- If your heart was beating with anxiety or excitement, You embraced it. Trust the process. The night didn't go as expected. But as you walked, you took it all in. You felt like the outcast- But your heart was full. This was the perfect night. Not becasue it was glamorous. Not because it was extravagant. But because you had let go of expectations. Because you had allowed yourself to be free and spontaneous. And in that, you had found magic." "Sometimes life is disappointing. And you make peace with that. You could see people inside, the music blared. They were drinking, dancing, laughing. It looked like they were having frun because they were drinking. Not because they were happy..." (Meet Me at Midnight, Shanelle A., Pg. 58) Or maybe this was just you... An honest conversation about how we are all in the same boat. We choose joy or despair. Gratitude, or envy.. BUY MY BOOK
We always want to know what our god-given talent is when we naturally seem to slip through the cracks. The lie we tend to believe is that it will come easily, when being great is never easy. However, I believe it will bring us energy. It will instil in us this spirit that charges us, rather than drains. These are one of the greatest gifts life can bring us... but a lot of us are too 'busy' to ever tap into our unique calling, 'busy' trying to forge someone else's gift... Enjoy the conversation. Characteristics (Even Good) out of Ego, people see right through that. We create these unrealistic expectations in loving someone, that tries to merge the two different people rather than embrace two walks of life, walking forward with love was the rock. BUY MY BOOK

(1 John 3:18) "O Lord, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you strengthen their heart; you incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more." (Psa 10:17-18) "...act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8) #theheroalwayswins

"As you walk toward the main area, three ladies step out from behind the desk, bowing slightly as you approach. "Sawadeeka!" Your awkward self looks at the driver, unsure how to respond. Thankfully, he gracefully motions to show you what to do. He teaches you it's called a 'wai' - a traditional Thai greeting you'll soon come to recognize. You drop your bags, press your hands together, and tuck your chin in, maybe a little too much, trying to hide a cheeky smile. You pick up your bags again, feeling like you wasted their time, and continue forward." (Pg 38 Meet Me at Midnight) https://shanelleannauthor.com/
Brianna and Shanelle take the mic. We discuss her favourite quotes from chapter three. Discussions lead to talking of legalism in the church and poor mental health struggles. Discussion on living for people vs. God. Cheers! MY BOOK: https://shanelleannauthor.com/
"Realizing that you would spend the majority of this trip staring into broken glass and fogged film - your reflection always fractured. Dirty glass, warped mirrors, unable to see yourself clearly enough to pick yourself apart. Full of imperfections. James talks about the mirror." (Meet Me at Midnight, Pg. 30, Shanelle Ann) We can deceive ourselves into tuning into our capabilities, then walking away, immediately forgetting what we were destined for, made in the image and likeness of the Divine.
