Claudia Elena Casalino of Amsterdam International Community School speaks with IB World Schools Manager Chloe Suberville about her school’s experience trialling the Middle Years Programme (MYP) Beta, as part of the IB’s Enhancing the MYP initiative. Drawing on her experience as an MYP coordinator and Integrated Sciences teacher, Claudia discusses how the changes are experienced in practice, the feedback schools have shared, and what this trial might mean for the future of the programme. Programme and subject guidance for Enhancing the MYP will be published in February 2028, followed by first teaching in September 2028 and first assessment in May 2030.
