  1. EP774 - The Keys to Lasting Results: A Key Nutrition Coaches Roundtable from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Sep 11, 202653 min

What are the real "keys" to getting results — and keeping them? In this episode of The Brad Jensen Show, I'm joined by three of our most senior Key Nutrition coaches: Tom Hippler, Jenn Pinnell, and Chelsey Bird. With our recent rebrand to Key Nutrition, I wanted to sit down with three coaches who have spent years in the trenches helping real people navigate fat loss, nutrition, training, mindset, and everything life throws at them. I asked each coach the same five questions centered around one theme: What is actually KEY to creating lasting success? What followed was an incredible roundtable discussion. We talk about the habits that separate successful clients from those who continually start over, the nutrition principles people tend to overcomplicate, how to stay consistent when motivation disappears, what people waste way too much energy focusing on, and what someone should prioritize if they're ready to finally make a change that lasts. What I loved most about this conversation is how differently each coach approached the questions. Tom, Jenn, and Chelsey each brought their own experiences, philosophies, and perspectives — and gave incredibly practical answers you can apply to your own journey immediately. This episode also gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the caliber of coaches we have at Key Nutrition and the philosophy behind the way we coach. Whether you're struggling to lose weight, trying to become more consistent, or simply looking for the next level in your health and fitness journey, I guarantee there's something in this conversation you need to hear. These are the keys that actually move the needle. 2. EP773 - Not Every Disagreement Is an Attack from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Sep 8, 20261 hr 2 min

What happens when someone publicly disagrees with you, criticizes your message, or reacts to your content in a way you don't exactly love? Your first instinct might be to defend yourself, fire back, or let your ego take over. In this episode of The Brad Jensen Show, Craig Smith and I break down a recent situation where someone reacted to one of my videos and strongly disagreed with my message. He wasn't attacking me personally—he was attacking the message and challenging my perspective. I had a choice. I could get defensive and respond from my ego, or I could take the high road. I chose the latter. Instead of firing back, I responded with kindness and even reached out to him personally. I told him there was no love lost, that I respected what he does, and that I think he creates great content—even though we absolutely do not see eye to eye on the carnivore diet. What happened next was pretty damn cool. He made another video about my response that was not only hilarious, but incredibly kind toward me as a person. That opened up a much bigger conversation between Craig and me about something we desperately need more of: the ability to disagree without becoming enemies. Not everyone is going to agree with your message. Not everyone is going to see the world the way you do. And someone challenging your ideas doesn't automatically mean they're attacking you. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is put your ego aside, stay curious, take the high road, and leave room for respectful disagreement. Because when you stop treating every disagreement like a personal attack, you might actually learn something, build a relationship, or turn a potential enemy into a connection. We need more conversations like that. 3. EP772 - What Healthy Masculinity Really Looks Like With Javier Lucas Coles from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Aug 28, 202658 min

In this episode of The Brad Jensen Show, I sit down with Javier Lucas Coles—entrepreneur, father, author, and powerful leader—for a deep conversation about what masculinity actually means. We unpack why masculinity feels like it's under attack today, but probably not for the reasons you might think. Lucas breaks down the difference between healthy, grounded masculinity and the loud, aggressive, macho bullshit that often gets mistaken for it. True masculine leadership isn't about control or dominance. It's about being calm, collected, capable, and powerful. It's about taking responsibility, creating safety, and leading from the front—especially inside your own home. We dive into what it means for men to tap into their divine masculine, how fathers can show up more intentionally for their families, and why leadership starts with how you live when nobody is watching. While this conversation is geared heavily toward men, I think women will get just as much value from hearing Lucas explain these concepts. And this is only part one—we'll be coming back for a second conversation geared more toward the feminine perspective. If you're a man who wants to become a better leader, father, husband, entrepreneur, or simply a more grounded version of yourself, this conversation will challenge you to take a hard look at how you're showing up. 4. EP771 - Ranking Personal Development Strategies: S Tier to F Tier from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Aug 18, 202654 min

On this episode of The Brad Jensen Show, Brad and cohost Craig Smith put some of the most popular personal development strategies to the test—ranking them from S Tier all the way down to F Tier. From breathwork, therapy, life coaching and journaling to reading, walking, meditation and more, we break down what we believe actually helps you evolve—and what might be overrated. We share our personal experiences with each strategy, where we think they can be incredibly valuable, and why no personal development tool matters much if you're not willing to actually apply what you learn. Some rankings might surprise you. Others might piss you off. If you're serious about becoming a better version of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, this episode is for you. 5. EP770 - The Keys (Why We're Becoming Key Nutrition Again) from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Aug 11, 202635 min

We're going back to our roots — Key Nutrition is back. In this solo episode, Brad breaks down the four keys that have driven results for over a thousand clients across 20+ years of coaching: consistency, adherence, performance, and longevity. No new program, no new phase — just the same principles that have always worked, under the name they started with. Plus: details on the rebrand giveaway — 6 months of free coaching for one man and one woman, with partial scholarships available for others who apply. In this episode: Why we're moving back to Key Nutrition after two years as Next Level Nutrition The Key to Consistency: why systems beat motivation The Key to Adherence: why sustainable beats perfect The Key to Performance: why the boring fundamentals outperform the flashy stuff The Key to Longevity: why "next level" thinking can quietly burn you out Next Level Links: Work With a Nutrition Coach - Schedule A Consultation Nutrition Coaching - www.becomenextlevel.com Partner Links: Try Thrive Lab Free For One Month - Start Here Order Supplements From Transform - Shop Here Order Supplements From Cured Nutrition - Shop Here Order Supplements From Legion (use code keynutrition for 20% off first order) - Shop Here Be Featured on the Show: Apply to be a live calller guest on the show - Submit Application Here Submit Q&A Questions to be read live on the show - Submit Here Free Guides: Eating Out Guide - Get The Guide High-Protein Fast Food Orders - Get the Guide Macro Food Options Guide - Get The Guide Join Us On Patreon - Join Here Connect with us on Instagram: Host Brad Jensen – @thesoberbodybuilder Next Level Nutrition – @mynextlevelnutrition

  6. EP769 - The Four Agreements: A Fitness Mindset Playbook from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Jul 22, 202631 min

In this episode I break down The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and show you how each one applies directly to your fitness journey. Be Impeccable with Your Word: the promises you keep (or break) with yourself shape whether you follow through. Don't Take Anything Personally: a bad workout or a stalled scale is data, not a verdict on your worth. Don't Make Assumptions: stop deciding what will or won't work for your body and start testing it, like I did with my own 30-day recomposition experiment. Always Do Your Best: your best changes day to day, and that's the antidote to all-or-nothing thinking. If you've ever felt stuck in guilt, comparison, or perfectionism around your training, this episode will change how you think about consistency for good. 7. EP768 - High Volume vs. Low Volume: You're Asking the Wrong Question from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Jul 2, 202630 min

whether high volume or low volume training is better for building muscle — and honestly, I think most people are asking the wrong question. In this episode I break down what the research actually says about training volume and proximity to failure, because these are two separate things that constantly get lumped together, and conflating them is where a lot of the confusion comes from. The short version? Both camps are right about something. Low volume taken to failure works. High volume with a couple reps left in the tank works. The newest meta-analyses — including Pelland, Refalo, Martikainen, and Hermann — all point to the same thing: there's no one-size-fits-all answer, and the differences between these approaches are a lot smaller than the internet would have you believe. What I really want you to take away from this one is that experimenting with different styles isn't a sign you don't know what you're doing — it's actually a skill. Pick an approach, run it honestly for 6-8 weeks, see how your body and your life respond, and don't be afraid to adjust. That's not wishy-washy. That's just smart training. 8. EP767 - Overrated/Underrated With Special Guest Co-Host Grant Dziak from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Jun 24, 20261 hr 4 min

In this episode, Craig Smith and special guest co-host Grant Dziak join me for a rapid-fire round of overrated and underrated topics across fitness, nutrition, supplementation, personal development, business, and more. From popular diet trends and training methods to mindset strategies, recovery tools, and everyday habits, we break down what we think deserves more attention—and what might be getting a little too much hype. This one is fast-paced, opinionated, and a lot of fun. Grant brought a unique perspective to the conversation, which made for some great discussion, debate, and laughs along the way. Whether you're looking to improve your health, grow your business, or simply challenge some of your current beliefs, this episode will give you plenty to think about. 9. EP766 - Finding Who You Really Are: Identity, Labels & Personal Growth with Grant Dziak from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Jun 16, 202655 min

In this episode of The Brad Jensen Show, I'm joined by Craig Smith and Grant Dziak for a free-flowing conversation that took us in a direction I didn't expect—but one that I think will resonate with a lot of people. We dive deep into the topic of identity and the role labels play in our lives. We talk about how some labels can be incredibly damaging, keeping us stuck in patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us, while others can be empowering and help us become the person we want to be. We also discuss some of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to figure out who they are. Too often, we attach our identity to what we do, our accomplishments, our failures, or what other people think of us. But true growth happens when we start understanding who we are at our core—not just what we do. This conversation goes beyond fitness and gets into personal development, self-awareness, and the process of building an identity that supports the life you want to create. If you've ever felt limited by a label, struggled with self-doubt, or wondered how to become the person you're capable of being, I think you'll get a lot out of this episode. 10. EP765 - Taking Risks and Talking Shop from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Jun 10, 202653 min

In this episode of The Brad Jensen Show, Craig Smith and I sit down for a candid conversation about life, growth, and the importance of taking risks. We discuss Craig's decision to step into a new career opportunity, the fear and uncertainty that come with major life changes, and why so many people never give themselves the chance to see what's possible because they're unwilling to bet on themselves. This wasn't a structured episode with one main topic. Just two friends talking shop, sharing lessons, and exploring what it means to pursue growth even when it's uncomfortable. If you've ever felt stuck, scared to make a move, or needed a reminder to trust yourself, you'll enjoy this conversation. 11. EP764 - Peptides, Purity & The Problem Nobody Wants to Talk About from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Jun 5, 202634 min

Peptides are everywhere right now. They're one of the hottest topics in the health and fitness space, but there's a side of the industry that most people aren't talking about. I break down some recent findings on gray market research peptides and why the results were alarming, even if they weren't entirely surprising. The reality is that this remains a largely unregulated industry where consumers are often forced to trust vendors without knowing what's actually inside the vial. During my own research and due diligence, I was shocked to discover that some well-known peptide suppliers either don't test their products at all or rely on basic in-house testing methods that leave plenty of room for error. I also share why we decided to launch Ethos Bio Labz for research purposes only. The goal wasn't to create another company jumping on the peptide trend. It was to solve a problem I kept seeing with clients who had no reliable way to verify the quality, purity, or accuracy of what they were purchasing. Most importantly, this is not a sales pitch. Whether you ever choose to do peptide research or not, my goal is to help you become a more informed consumer. I walk through what third-party testing actually means, what questions you should be asking before purchasing from any company, and why transparency matters. I also discuss something many people in the peptide space won't say out loud: not every peptide deserves the hype. While some have promising research behind them, others simply don't have enough quality data yet to justify the claims being made online. My commitment is to give you the truth as I see it, not just tell you what people want to hear. If you've been curious about peptides, considering peptide research, or simply want to understand what's really happening behind the scenes, this conversation will help you separate fact from fiction. 15% off your first order coupon code: pod15 Ethos Website: www.ethosbiolabz.com Peptide Study: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11582493/ Impurity Profiling Study: view here Next Level Links: Work With a Nutrition Coach - Schedule A Consultation Nutrition Coaching - www.becomenextlevel.com Partner Links: Try Thrive Lab Free For One Month - Start Here Order Supplements From Transform - Shop Here Order Supplements From Cured Nutrition - Shop Here Order Supplements From Legion (use code keynutrition for 20% off first order) - Shop Here Be Featured on the Show: Apply to be a live calller guest on the show - Submit Application Here Submit Q&A Questions to be read live on the show - Submit Here Free Guides: Eating Out Guide - Get The Guide High-Protein Fast Food Orders - Get the Guide Macro Food Options Guide - Get The Guide Join Us On Patreon - Join Here Connect with us on Instagram: Host Brad Jensen – @thesoberbodybuilder Next Level Nutrition – @mynextlevelnutrition

  12. EP763 - Self Sabotage, Weight Loss Psychology, Fitness Truths & GLP-1 Medications from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Jun 2, 20261 hr 1 min

It's time for another monthly Q&A episode with Craig and me. In this episode, we answer some of your biggest questions around fitness, mindset, health, and personal development. We dive into what self sabotage really means, why so many people unknowingly get in their own way, and the fitness hill I'm willing to die on. We also discuss how much of weight loss is truly physical versus emotional and whether GLP-1 medications are actually making people healthier or simply making people smaller. In this episode, we cover: What self sabotage really looks like and how to stop it The fitness belief I'm not backing down from How much of weight loss is physical versus emotional Why mindset plays such a massive role in long term success My thoughts on GLP-1 medications and their place in health and fitness The difference between getting smaller and getting healthier Several listener questions and real world coaching insights As always, Craig and I keep it real, share our honest perspectives, and give you practical takeaways you can apply to your own life. 14. EP761 - Burnout, Stress & The Heart Brain Connection | Deborah Rozman from HeartMath from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    May 15, 202656 min

In this episode, I sit down with Deborah Rozman from HeartMath to dive into emotional regulation, stress, nervous system health, and the connection between the heart and brain. We talk about why so many high performers are successful externally but still internally dysregulated, how chronic stress impacts physical and emotional health, and practical tools to create more coherence, resilience, and alignment in everyday life. We also get into leadership, parenting, burnout, breathwork, emotional mastery, and what true high performance actually looks like beyond just hustle and achievement. If you constantly feel "on," struggle to slow your brain down, or feel like success still hasn't brought peace, this episode will hit home. 15. EP760 - Monthly Q&A: Hard Truths on Life, Coaching, and Letting People Go from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    May 5, 20261 hr 2 min

On this month's Q&A episode, Brad and Craig go off-script and dive into a wide range of real-life topics that are actually affecting people right now. They kick things off with a bigger-picture conversation around life—how perspective shapes everything, why most people overcomplicate things, and where they see people getting in their own way the most. From there, they get into a real and necessary discussion about coaching as an unregulated industry. The pros, the dangers, and what people should actually be looking for before trusting someone with their health, mindset, or life direction. Not all "coaches" are created equal—and they don't hold back here. They also tackle a tough but relatable question: what to do when someone doesn't want you in their life anymore. Whether it's relationships, friendships, or family—this turns into a conversation about self-respect, boundaries, and emotional maturity. Peptides come back into the conversation with more listener questions—clearing up confusion, calling out misuse, and giving practical insight into how they should be approached versus how most people are currently using them. As always, the episode is a mix of mindset, truth, and real talk—no fluff, no sugarcoating. 16. EP759 - When Self-Improvement Becomes Self-Destruction from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Apr 28, 202646 min

This one is a real, honest mix of growth, pressure, and calling out some of the traps high performers fall into. We dig into what it actually means to "quit" something — and why quitting isn't always weakness. Sometimes it's alignment. Whether it's habits, relationships, or even careers, there's a difference between giving up and moving on. I also touch on plans for upcoming peptide conversations — breaking down what's actually useful, what's hype, and where people are getting it wrong. Got some powerful episodes coming up too, including one with my parents (which will be real and probably a little raw) and another with Elizabeth Smart that you won't want to miss. We also get into a controversial one — is personal development actually overrated? At what point does "working on yourself" just become another addiction? That ties into the bigger trap: always chasing more, without ever defining what "enough" looks like. I open up about some personal stuff too — feeling like I'm falling short as a dad at times, and a recent honest conversation with my son that hit me hard. We talk about the realities of blending families, the adjustments that come with it, and how it's not always smooth like people pretend it is. And for all of you grinding through stacked morning routines… we call that out too. When optimizing your life starts to feel like a burden, you're missing the point. We wrap with a reminder most people need: growth matters, but so does actually being present in your life. Gratitude isn't soft — it's necessary if you don't want to burn out chasing a life you'll never feel. 17. EP758 - The Real Cost of Big Goals (And Where to Draw the Line) from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Apr 21, 202646 min

In this episode, I sat down with my cohost Craig Smith to break down my weekend at a local bodybuilding show and everything it brought up for me. We talked about how insane it is what the human body can achieve at that level—but also how misunderstood it is. A lot of people think you can just take steroids and look like that, and that's just not reality. It takes years of discipline, precision, and a level of commitment most people aren't willing to touch. That led into a bigger realization for me: I don't think I'll ever step on stage again. Not because I can't—but because I fully understand the level of sacrifice required, and I'm clear that it's not a price I'm willing to pay anymore. From there, we dove deep into the concept of sacrifice—what it actually means, how it scales with the size of your goals, and how most people say they want something without being honest about what it's going to cost them. At the end of the day, the conversation really came down to this: if you want something meaningful, it's going to require real trade-offs. And if you're not willing to make those sacrifices, you don't actually want the goal—you just like the idea of it. 18. EP757 - The Power of the Heart with Dr. Bradley Nelson from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Apr 18, 20261 hr 1 min

In this episode, I sit down with one of the most well-known pioneers in the energy healing space, Dr. Bradley Nelson — creator of The Emotion Code and author of The Heart Code . I'll be honest… this is the kind of stuff I used to think was straight-up "woo-woo." But after having firsthand experience with energy work, I've changed my perspective — and this conversation goes deep into why. We break down how unresolved emotional experiences don't just live in your mind… they can actually get stored in your body and impact everything from your health to your relationships. Dr. Nelson explains the concept of "trapped emotions" — emotional energy that wasn't fully processed and ends up lingering in the body, potentially contributing to both emotional and physical issues. One of the biggest takeaways from this episode is the idea of the "Heart-Wall." This is essentially a protective barrier your body builds around your heart using layers of trapped emotions — meant to protect you, but often ends up blocking connection, vulnerability, and even success. We also dive into: Why so many people feel stuck emotionally, mentally, or even physically How past experiences may still be influencing your current behavior and relationships The role of the subconscious mind in healing Simple ways to start becoming more aware of emotional patterns How to avoid continuing to build these "walls" over time Dr. Nelson also shares insights from his newer work, The Heart Code , and gives practical takeaways for anyone looking to improve their emotional health and overall well-being. Whether you're skeptical or already open to this kind of work, this episode will challenge how you think about healing, self-awareness, and what's really holding you back. ⸻ About Dr. Bradley Nelson Dr. Bradley Nelson is a holistic chiropractor, author, and medical intuitive known for his work in energy healing. He is the creator of The Emotion Code and The Body Code , systems designed to identify and release what he calls "trapped emotions" stored in the body. His work has been adopted by practitioners around the world and focuses on the connection between emotional energy, physical health, and overall human performance. 19. EP756 - Training Hard Still Look Average, Weekday Discipline Weekend Chaos, Peptides Worth It, Losing Weight Gaining It Back, All In Burnout, GLP1 Tool Or Crutch, Q&A from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Apr 7, 20261 hr 0 min

In this Q&A episode, Craig and I dive into some of the most common struggles we're seeing right now around nutrition, training, and knowing what actually matters. We start with the all or nothing cycle. Being dialed in during the week, then losing it on the weekends and feeling like you're starting over every Monday. We break down what's really driving that pattern and how to get out of it. We talk about the frustration of putting in years of work in the gym but still feeling like you look average, and how to actually audit your approach instead of just doing more. We get into peptides and the current hype around them. Where they can actually be useful, and where people are jumping in way too early chasing an edge they haven't earned. We also hit on the cycle of losing weight and gaining it back, and why the issue usually isn't the diet itself, but something deeper that keeps repeating. There's a big conversation around the all in personality. Why going 100 percent eventually backfires, and how to find something sustainable without losing your edge. And we finish with GLP-1s. How to know if you're using them as a tool versus a crutch, and what should actually be dialed in before going that route. 20. EP755 - Stop Playing Small: Lessons from Mike Mills' Transformation from The Brad Jensen Show, opens in a new tab

    Apr 3, 202657 min

In this episode, I sit down with Mike Mills. Mike is a past participant of Next Level Experience and someone I have a ton of respect for as a man. We get into his journey over the last couple of years, including completing 75 Hard not once, but twice. But what stood out most in this conversation is that it wasn't about the physical transformation. It was about what it did for him mentally, emotionally, and the level of ownership he's now operating from. Mike shares how going through NLE helped shift his perspective and pushed him to step into a bigger version of himself. Not just for his own life, but now in the work he's doing helping other men level up across mind, body, and spirit. We also touched on something deeper. The passing of his father from ALS and how that experience forced him to take a hard look at his life. It lit a fire under him to stop waiting, stop playing small, and really take control of the direction he's heading. This is a powerful conversation about growth, responsibility, and what it actually looks like to become the man you know you're capable of being. If you're someone who knows you've got more in the tank, this one will hit.
