Layne and Jon celebrate three years of Ninjas and three years of Bots by looking at three movies! Okay, only two. But one of them has a three in it! We begin by discussing the film contemporary with our current comics coverage, and that is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows from 2016! Then we bring on Clinton (who has been here the whole time) to take a look back at time-traveling turtles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III from 1993!

Jon and Blaine look at an episode that connects the TOS adventure “The Doomsday Machine” to the Borg of TNG using the TNG era crew. Also available, episode 000 with introductions to the hosts and podcast premise and episode 001 where we discuss Mission to Horatius and the first three James Blish adaptation collections.

Jon and Blaine discuss four different books in this episode. First up, it’s Mission to Horatius, the first original Star Trek story to appear in print, aimed at readers who have recently learned how to print. Then we cover the first three collections of episode adaptations by James Blish, simply titled Star Trek 1-3. Watch for our introductory episode and our coverage of Vendetta on this same day. As an odd numbered episode of the podcast, we are looking at books in publication order.

Jon and Blaine embark on a new adventure, a trek through the stars, aiming to read every Star Trek book. They may die before completing this goal, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth attempting. In this introductory episode, Jon and Blaine discuss their histories with the franchise and their goals for the podcast. Layne and Jon continue to barrel toward the end of Phase One of IDW’s The Transformers! In issue 27, Prowl, Streetwise, Ultra Magnus, and Bumblebee interrogate various captured parties; in issue 28, the Primes head down toward Vector Sigma to stop Galvatron from doing the unthinkable as Megatron powers up to confront D-Void the Deceptigod! (Yes, that name is utterly ridiculous, and we should laugh at it, but everything else is pretty cool!

Then they go back in time for a final confrontation with the Bloodsucker and the Old Man of the River in the last part of “The River” in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 26 from Mirage!

Layne and Jon welcome Maggie and Jon back to the show to begin our look at the beginning of the end of Phase One! In IDW’s The Transformers 25, Police Action gets underway as Prowl begins investigating Spike Witwicky and the death of Scrapper. Then in The Transformers 26, the fit hits the shan as the Autobots deal with Galvatron’s attack on Cybertron!
