Layne and Jon celebrate three years of Ninjas and three years of Bots by looking at three movies! Okay, only two. But one of them has a three in it! We begin by discussing the film contemporary with our current comics coverage, and that is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows from 2016! Then we bring on Clinton (who has been here the whole time) to take a look back at time-traveling turtles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III from 1993!
Jon and Blaine look at an episode that connects the TOS adventure “The Doomsday Machine” to the Borg of TNG using the TNG era crew. Also available, episode 000 with introductions to the hosts and podcast premise and episode 001 where we discuss Mission to Horatius and the first three James Blish adaptation collections.
Jon and Blaine discuss four different books in this episode. First up, it’s Mission to Horatius, the first original Star Trek story to appear in print, aimed at readers who have recently learned how to print. Then we cover the first three collections of episode adaptations by James Blish, simply titled Star Trek 1-3. Watch for our introductory episode and our coverage of Vendetta on this same day. (Yes, that name is utterly ridiculous, and we should laugh at it, but everything else is pretty cool!
