A bike review in a BroomWagon-style. I have been reviewing the Ritchey Montebello for a while, but nothing could really match a tech talk when you have one of the ideator and first really tester of the bike itself on the other side. In this episode I talk with Fergus Tanaka, Marketing Manager at Ritchey's and the person who brought the Montebello very first prototype from the Flemish cobbles to the Paris-Brest-Paris. And yes, the episode photo is from the one and only Ryan Le Garrec. Jump on the BroomWagon Podcast and get to know more about everything around it and more. Some conversations start with a bike and end somewhere else entirely. This is one of them. Adam Wilkoszarski is a photographer from Poznań, Poland, who rediscovered cycling as therapy and never really looked back. In March 2026 he cycled 1100 kilometres through Poland, Czechia and Germany to Zurich — in winter, mostly alone, sleeping in temperatures around zero. He arrived two days early. The bike, he said, was a rocket. This guest episode was produced by Pascal Pensa and recorded at the MONoPOLE store in Zurich, off the back of Tool Talk #2 — an evening built around bikes, gear and the stories that happen when you leave the city behind. Building a brand with cycling culture in mind and doing it with the perspective of bringing back to the community the heritage and the class of timeless bikes. In this episode Calamaro talked with Rob Quirk and Simon Mottram who together are building the next chapter of Quirk Cycles. But we also talked about the Manchester to London and Ambitious about Autism. Do you want Calamaro to take part in the M2L? LA is a vibe: from wherever you see it, it looks easy, stylish, chilled, just cool. And riding looks the same, the internet is full of stories of group rides where everything looks possible and easy, in LA, like having Mathieu Van Der Poel on the city group ride and making no fuss with it. That's why I wanted to know more about it, and I had the fortune to interview Ken and Adric, two big personalities of riding in LA, and, people, they confirmed all I thought, with ease.
