The Orlando Magic will be sorting out several key rotation spots when training camp begins in four weeks. Those got put more in flux with underwhelming performances from Goga Bitadze and Tristan da Silva at FIBA World Cup Qualifying this weekend. Neither player played poorly. But neither showed a big step forward, putting their rotation spots in jeopardy as training camp approaches. Nikola Vucevic will likely take over the backup center spot with his scoring ability, leaving Goga Bitadze to remain the spot starter when injuries hit. He has struggled to show the consistency needed to claim the spot. Tristan da Silva is set up to be a solid floor spacer and 3-point shooter. He has a big role to play. But if he struggles to make shots from deep, he could lose his spot too. Especially with Noah Penda making strides more and more. The first batch of predictions for the upcoming NBA season are starting to be published. As expected, the Orlando Magic are sort of stuck in the middle.
